Well, my roots look good. I bought this and I was so excited to finally have bright red hair again! For the past two years, I've been using Ion shines semi-permanent hair color in burgundy brown. I love the color, but I wanted to be bright again, just for fun. My friend used this and said that it was great and it's what she used to use. The roots where it was freshly dyed about a month ago and my natural hair took the color beautifully. It's exactly what I wanted. The rest of my hair (it hangs down to my waist) it just basically the exact same color it was before with a little bit more red in it. Both colors are beautiful, I just wish that my hair was all one color. And now I'm stuck with what to do next. September 18, 2014
Magenta I have used the magenta dye, I believe about 3 times. The first time I mixed magenta and red hot since they didn't have two tubes of magenta and wow, did my hair turn out bright, I looked like Ariel, The Little Mermaid. I had just dyed my hair not even a week before using a mix of a very dark blue and dark purple (manic panic) and it came out almost black and stained everything and constantly bled. I hated it. I missed my red hair (which I had achieved before with ion and manic panic) and this magenta is the best hair dye I have EVER used and I've dyed my hair a lot. The only time it faded was when I swam in the ocean everyday for a week, otherwise it always stayed vibrant and never bled. It didn't do any noticeable damage either. I am so in love with this hair dye and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to go red! P.S. It stayed more vibrant for me because I was my hair twice a week. When dying, put vaseline all over your face, ears, and neck to avoid stained skin (if it does get on skin, use olive oil to remove it). August 11, 2014
Fantastic Color I paid $200 to have my hair dyed red a few years back. When I decided to go red again, I did some research and came across the HiColor line and have been super satisfied with the results. I we t red for a year and experimented with the line's different reds and love them all. Highly recommended! July 14, 2014

I want a really BRIGHT red colour since I've always had my hair different shades of red! I saw this product many times (on YouTube and what not) and saw a lot of positive reviews about it. I used a temporary dye in August (Jerome Russell's Punky Colour in Rose Red) and let it wash out completely. I loved the brightness of the dye that Punky Colour gave me, but wish it lasted longer. SO, I'm asking to people who have used this: 1) How long does the 'brightness' of the dye usually last? 2) How often should I dye my hair using this or should I use a different dye? 3) How long should I leave it on my hair (with 20 developer on a copper-red-brown hair colour)?
i have dark brown hair. i have dyed my hair with permanent dye before and it always fades back to my original color as long as i don't bleach it. is there bleach in this dye?
