Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 208 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Red! I have been trying to find a good red dye and this is it! April 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, but fades fast. Tried this the first time on black hair with a 30 vol developer and turned it a nice crimson shade that could be seen in natural sunlight and white lighting. It faded to a brownish red color in about 3 weeks. The second time, I dyed over existing color and some new growth with two boxes with a 40 vol developer and the crimson color shows as more of a black cherry in some dimmer or yellow lighting and as a nice bright crimson in natural sunlight and white lighting. (I have about shoulder length hair, for reference.) The only problem is that second time around, the color is still coming out in the shower and staining my neck and clothes. Could be due to either the higher vol developer or the higher amount of dye I slathered on my hair. I have never had this staining issue when using a 40 vol developer or 2 boxes of dye on my hair before, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Also, my roots and ends took the color more than my length, even though I started on the length and just rubbed the remaining color into my roots (I've been dyeing my hair for 10+ years). There's some different things going on with this dye than the usual Ion brand I use, but the color is beautiful! March 23, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bleeds Bleeds color last until you wash and then it bleeds horribly. January 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome and simple I had dark brown hair and I have long curly hair up to my waist. I bought 5 just in case but, I only used 3 1/2. I also used Ion Sensitive Scalp developer in 30 Volume. I would suggest to have someone help you. Thankfully my sister knew what to do and she helped me. If you search on Youtube "How to dye hair red without bleach" You will find a lot of helpful tutorials. I watched "x3Haha" youtube tutorial. My hair came out awesome! My roots are a tad brighter then the rest of my hair but, I knew that was going to happen. My sister started from the bottom and then she did the roots last. I'm very happy with the outcome and I didn't have to use bleach for it! I'm getting so many good compliments on it. So, go ahead and try it! December 14, 2015

Hi:) I normally use Sebastian Drench moisturizing conditioner after I wash my hair. When I wash my hair 2-3 days before using this product, should I use the conditioner or should I use it only after I color my hair? Thanks so much

I went to a salon, spent $200 to get bright red hair! She bleached it 1st and used prevana semi perm hair color. I've washed it 4 times since and it's already fading to where you can see the blonde and of course it's more pink then red. Not to mention the $60 they need every 6-8 weeks to redo and touch-up!
I bought 3 boxes of L'Oreal red highlights, 30 developer and a small bottle of red filler.
I'm hoping to get the darker red I paid for but not very experienced with this type of coloring. Especially since it was bleached. Any advice would be very appreciated!!!
