Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Great! A youtuber I watch mentioned this product to help keep gray hair. And it works pretty great. My hair isn't platinum blonde, I would say more of a level 9. My stylist helped tone my hair grey and I keep the color with this bottle. It doesn't make my hair grey grey, but more of a very ash blonde, but I prob just need to go a shade darker with the grey. I currently use 42 Silver Lining. Also another great thing, the product also does not make your hair feel crunchy when dry!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty color Tried the silver one on my half-platinum, half-warm toned hair. The platinum part takes the silver in well, but it wasn't enough to fight the warm tone. I'll try True Steel the next time. Doesn't leave hair as sticky as I thought it would. Washes off in 1 wash as described.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only temporary I LOVE this color! WHY doesn't Roux make it in a toner for longer lasting color?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as I remember.. I used Fancifull rinses many years ago to enhance my lightened blond hair. Now that I'm gray I wanted to brighten the lighter strands. Works great, I'm glad this product is still around. Not damaging at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the colour I continuously buy this because I like the grey/silver look. However, after I blow dry it in I feel like my hair gets dry/sticky. Whatever, only so much you can do if you want silver hair. I find if you straighten it it feels a little better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It did alright on my crazy quad-colored hair I tried this on my hair tonight, and it did alright. It actually did better than I expected it to because my hair isn't completely bleached out yet. Right now I have gray roots, I'm bleached blonde, near platinum, on the top of my hair, and the back is a light brown from years of permanent dye staining. My hair currently also has a lovely brassy color to it from where I used a color remover on it. So lol this poor product had a big challenge to do a decent job on my basically quad-colored hair, but it was a trooper and gave it all it had. My plan is to completely bleach my hair all over to a platinum blonde so it will blend better with my gray roots, but I'm waiting on an Olaplex order before I bleach it. As far as the product goes: The color of it, and coverage actually looks pretty good in the front, but not so great in the back. It was rather messy going on, but seemed to blow dry pretty quickly on my very thick, mid back length hair. I used the Silver Lining color, more out of curiosity of what my all over planned silver hair might look like when I do get it completed. I think the product will work much better on my hair once I finish my hair transformation and have it bleached much lighter all over, at which time, I will more than likely continue to use it for spur of the moment touch ups, or different colors in it when I want a temporary color change. I do recommend it just as long as your hair isn't crazy Quad-colored like mine.

Since this is a rinse not a permanent color does it cause allergic reactions like burning to scalp?

Asked by: Hickels60
I have a pretty sensitive scalp. I get my roots done every two months by a professional and even the stuff she uses gives me a chemical burn on my scalp but it's bearable so I keep getting it done, I've had worse. This stuff doesn't burn my scalp at all but I don't notice a big difference with it so I'd save your money. The purple shampoo will do more but it dries out your hair so get a deep conditioning treatment for after. I leave on my Shimmering Lights shampoo for an hour then wash it out and I get a nice lavender tone to my platinum blonde hair that lasts a couple washes.

I'm looking for a temporary color that covers gray that would be a lighter golden/blonde color for a light complexion African American.

Asked by: Mstoni0759
spun sand is a pretty light blonde color--tempting taffy is a bit darker blonde.

I want to go light grey, real color is almost there but I have some red coloring to get rid of what is the best method, my hair is medium short and thick.

Asked by: stargazer 5567
I use fanciful rinse every time I shampoo.  It tones down the red brassy hair color.  Pick the shade that matches your hair.  I use spun sand or one with ash tones since I have some grey, but mostly blonde.

How long does the temporary color last?  I have white hair but want to go blonde for a special occasion;  however, I do not want to go through letting my hair grow out again.   Thank you!

Asked by: josie Gibson
If your doing this for a one time thing you may consider using a fanciful rinse. This will wash out the next time when you wash your hair. So simple to use just apply all over after shampooing your hair on towel dried hair dry as usual. Never have to worry about growing it out. Have fun at your special occasion

#32 Lucky Copper roux rinse , do you still make this color? And if you don't: if i mix two of these three shades, which would be the best combination to bring a tinted level 9-10 blonde to a sheer

How often can this rinse be reapplied without causing hair damage?

Asked by: Double Nickel Fox
You can use every day if you want. There is nothing in it that will cause any damage at all. A very good product that you can trust.

Is this product safe for Black women with natural hair (hair with no chemicals). Also if the natural hair already has some grey, will it change that grey to a strange color? Will it stand up to natural hair regimen of coconut oil, argon oil, shea butter

Asked by: Dovely53
I use this on my natural very curly hair with a lot of grey, the color comes up silvery, the more I use it, the deeper the color, I love this product, I just wish they made a toner in this color, so I didn't have to use it everyday, it takes the "yellow" out of your natural grey.
