Clairol Shimmer Lights Conditioning Shampoo
I use this as I bleach my hair. I am a licensed cosmetologist, and I've used other professional brands at higher prices--even for a licensed cosmetologist--and this is always my go to "purple" shampoo to tone down brassiness for my hair. The smell isn't bad, the pH of this shampoo is in the range of human's normal pH. I would recommend this and I always have a liter bottle in my shower!

I only used it once and that was about all my hair could take. I have my hair highlighted and I have hard water so my hair tends to go a little brassy so I bought this product and OMG horrible the smell made me nauseous and how my hair felt after use was like straw even after a good deep condition.. I guess you learn buying the cheaper stuff it doesn't pay when it comes to your hair..

Dried my hair out
I had my hair done and the highlights turned out a little yellow so my hairdresser gave me a discount on BIOSILK SILVERLIGHTS and it worked really well. My hair was in excellent condition and the brassiness yellow was totally gone . I got my highlights touched up again and this time I went to Sallys and I decided to give the Clairol Shimmer Lights a try since my hairdresser said it was really good also. BIG MISTAkE! My hair is so dry and straw like now. I'm so disgusted with the texture that I don't care if it's brassy or not. I have fine hair that is dark blonde with highlights. Maybe certain hair types can take this product. I feel like I flushed my money straight down the toilet. I hate that feeling. I will only buy the BIOSILK brand from now on. (you can get it cheap online) Pantene offers a silver line and so does the ION brand but I'm too afraid of wasting anymore money. )-: On to deep conditioning and trying to get my healthy hair back for this girl.

It only works if you already have a light blonde/ pale yellow color. It doesn't work on light brown or dark blonde. It actually makes light brown and dark blonde darker than what it was before.
