Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is AMAZING! I have previously bleached my hair once and it left it dry broken and fragile. I have very fine hair to begin with. This time I used Ion powder bleach, Sensitive Scalp 20 developer, and added this booster in. After bleaching and coloring, there is no noticeable damage at all to my hair. There is of course damage from the process, but my hair is silky and shiny. The results were amazing. Definitely worth the $2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING Excellent smell! fruit like the garnier nutrisse haircolor if anyone remembers? really good but doesn't make my nose that is sensitive to nearly any super synthetic scent irritated! I used the ion demi permanent hair color, 10 volume developer, step one and two of this line and my hair doesn't feel like mine at all!!! It is so soft, shiny, silky, voluminous... I am in awe!! I might make the step two treatment my everyday conditioner!! seriously!! First time in my life haircolor hasn't completely ruined my ends, which were long due for a cut, in fact they feel a bit better! i have hair that i usually want to do a headshave on to a daily basis, and was planning a large chop and i might just have to reconsider! My hair is thick, coarse, and generally a pain, with little shine, and i'm SOOO surprised that both step one and two rinsed out of my hair!! i was thinking with how thick the second treatment was that it wouldn't but it did!!! Thoroughly impressed and will definitely buy again! and have read that you can use the treatment on it's own now and then!! VERY HAPPY at ease of use, price and results!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth soft hair I am a first time DIY home hair colorist. I saw this product and wanted the added benefit and protection. My results are smooth and frizz for hair. Prior to dying my hair it was a hot mess. I won't go without using this in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing My hair had been bleached twice in the past month and it was starting to feel slightly crispy when dry and mushy when wet. I used this with hi-lift blonde with 30 vol. developer and my hair is in better condition than before coloring! Normally when rinsing out hair color, hair feels kind of hard and unpleasant, but when I used this my hair felt like silk as I was rinsing it. I used step 2 as well. It is kind of small, which isn't a problem unless you are bleaching, because you will need more than 1 vial.

Can this be added in with semi permanent hair color like manic panic or should you dye your hair then just do the treatment with water afterwards?

Can I add Absolute Perfection with Clairol Permanent Color Developer and how much would I use?  How would this effect the color process?

Asked by: GerrySmith
Although, I have not used it yet they come already measured small vials and one vial is all you use for coloring.  They are meant to work with most brands, so I would not hesitate to use with yours. It should not affect the color outcome it is meant to keep your hair from damage from the well as hold the color longer.  Hope this helps.

Can this be used with perms, and where would I add it ?

Asked by: Nancy1145
We do not recommend with perms as Step 2 needs to be shampooed and conditioned from the hair. This would effect the neutralizing of the perm itself.

It says to bump up your developer by 10 if you're using it w/ bleach but my hair is thin, REALLY damaged asian hair so would it be okay using 40 vol. developer (which is kinda high for my hair) ??

Asked by: lance123
If you usually use 30 developer then yes you should use 40 for the same result. This product will not change the way the bleach works. It simply dilutes the developer which makes the peroxide percentage lower. If you are worried about the condition of your hair then maybe do a strand test first. But honestly, the only difference between using 30 developer vs 40 is the processing time.

I tone my own hair at home with one part Wella Toner and two parts 20 volume developer. Would I be able to add this into the mixture? If so, how much is recommended?

Asked by: Cooliosistt
Yes you can add this. However, it will dilute your toning solution so it would be like using a 10 developer. And the more you add the less the toner will lift which can result in a darker shade than you're used to.
