Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not As Expected I was given this curling iron as a gift for Christmas from my kids. I loved it the first time I used it. The second time I used it, I noticed that the ceramic coating was coming off when it heated up. Now, each time I heat it up, the ceramic coating is coming off more and more. Pretty soon it will be a bare metal barrel. I've only used it about 8-10 times in 7 months. Poor, poor, poor. I would not recommend and I would not purchased another Hot Shot Tools product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good curling iron This iron gets hot and curls my fine hair very well. Gives me nice beach curls. The curls will last all day long with a little hairspray .. Its not the best but a really good curling iron :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the Best! Not the best curler I've bought! It made my hair smell really burnt and my curls wouldn't even last after i was done curling my entire hair! Very disappointed with this product. Wouldn't recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1" Curls last! I bought this after my Jilbere went out in 2 months and my ION was about 5 years old. I usually stick to the 1 1/4" curling irons but I wanted to try the 1" and I'm glad I did. My curls stay up to 7-8 hours! I have a lot of hair about to my bra line, & it does take me longer to curl than with the thicker curling iron, but its worth it because my curls last much longer. I get compliments that it looks like I have a lot more volume. I hope it lasts for a long time, Ive had it for about 2 months.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Helen of Terrible I'm no professional or anything but this HOT tool did not do the job for me. The price was okay but the quality and curls was dissatisfying to me. Maybe it'll work better for someone else. Just not me. I went back to my local Sally Beauty Supply and exchanged it for the Jilbere 1" ceramic/porcelain curling iron. It works wonders so far.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Handle is defective I bought this curling iron last year and the problem with it is that the metal used to make the handle isn't thick/strong enough to withstand the heat capacity. The handle bends all the way down every time you press on it so you have to manually pull it back up to it's proper place. I wrote the company and they sent me another one and it does the exact same thing so it's a product defect. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible This curling iron is horrible. It did heat up fast but everytime I tried to curl a section of hair it would pull and snag the hair. Returning it tomorrow.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Curling Irons I love ceramic curling irons. But the problem I have is that you assume Everyone has long hair. What about those of us with short hair? We prefer a smaller curling iron smaller than the 1". They are impossible to find in your stores with ceramic. We want shiny curls too.
