Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra Violet If you want a rich, vibrant purple, Manic Panic Ultra Violet will do the trick. I have tried many other brands (Directions Violet, One and Only Pure Purple, Ion Lavender, to name a few..) but almost all of them were too pink for me and wouldn't stick well to my roots. I'd end up with orange roots, pink under the roots, then like a dark fuschia (not purple!) everywhere else. Also I have used Manic Panic Ultra Violet on my natural unbleached medium brown hair in the past and it STILL turned out vibrant and awesome. However, if you DO use it on natural, darker hair, make sure you comb it through well, then apply heat for at least 10 minutes. Then put a bag or plastic cap on and let it sit for at LEAST an hour. Otherwise it won't show up well and wash out fast. If your hair is bleached or lightened in any way, don't use the heat. Just let it sit on your hair for at least an hour.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cotton Candy Pink I bought this last Sunday to my freshly bleached and toned snow white hair. After application the color was gorgeous, exactly what I wanted. However, after just one wash with very safe shampoo, the color was almost completely gone. It stuck only to pieces very close to my scalp and not at all to any of the top layer, so it looked like the pink was gone altogether. After long research and deliberation, many people recommended this as the best pink dye. Unfortunately I will not be repurchasing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've always loved MP Virgin Snow I use Manic Panic Virgin Snow to freshen up my white blonde every few weeks. I have light blonde hair naturally and it's very porous so this works so well with my hair while leaving it manageable because it's not harsh. I do have to leave it on for 3+ hours for the effect I want, but good things are worth waiting for!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Past Experience Ive been using Manic Panic for a long time now around like 6 or 7 years its the best for not damaging your hair ad staying in the longest. If the color is coming out fast then use cold water and you can add some of the dye into your conditioner or shampoo to help in-between washes. The Wildfire red I dyed on top of my dark brown hair and it came out very vivid, and no I didn't bleach or lighten the brown at all before. It stays in for quite a long time if you wash your hair in colder water. The issue is if you like the reds if you try to get rid of it they may stick in your hair for a while. The Pictures are of brown hair to the wildfire red then after 3 times of 40 volume bleach

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra-violet I loved this product! I used it to tone my yellow hair and it gave me ash blonde! Just mix a quarter size amount this with about a cup of conditioner and leave on for 40 minutes and boom no damage and no yellow hair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Brand!`` I started dying my hair unnatural colors when I was 11. Im now 18. In the past 7 years, I have tried many different brands, but Manic Panic has always been what I seem to go back to. I love how vibrant each of the colors are, and the Virgin Snow toner is absolutely amazing!

I used a bleaching kit first.then I used manic panic electric lizard.left on for 30 minutes and it didn't take. Why?

Asked by: Sinford69
I had the same issue.. It looked almost yellow in my hair. I had to use blue to darken it up

Ive dyed my hair before and its a yellow orange color and i wanted to know if the Atomic Turquoise would work?

Asked by: sierra02
Probably not... It would probably turn it from more so green than turquoise.... Id probably go with a red color.... Or strip it... First... Which if its only been a few days you can easily strip it with head and shoulders.... Or you can get color stripper at Sally's... But every color may have a different tint hue or saturation to it... Strip it first... Or bleach it before applying the new color...

How long does this take to fade? And does it completely wash out or does it just leave that greenish color that some dyes do?

Asked by: AliceEliz
The humidity is crazy where I'm from, so I can't really get away with washing my hair every other day. So, I say, after washing every day, the color lasts about a week.

How. An I get dark hair to take in color the best?

Asked by: Short peanut
The best way is to bleach your hair at least a day before dying it. You don't have to go super blond, even a little lighter will help a lot. If you don't want something that permanent you can try leaving the Manic Panic in as long as you can. It's a natural dye so you can leave it in as long as you want to and it won't fry or damage your hair.

My hair naturally is more of a light brown/dark blonde, and I'm wanting to dye it a rose gold/smokey pink. I plan to bleach it but I'm unsure on what dye to use, whether this brand or another. Personally I want something that'd last... Recommendations?

Asked by: justabasicname
If you want something to last, don't use manic panic. While moisturizing and non-damaging, this dye, especially is lighter colors, doesn't last very long. Try Ion color brilliance in rose quartz.

how often should i wash my hair so the color wont come out fast?

Asked by: devin123
I would say, as little as possible. Wash and rinse with as cold of water you can handle and use a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser.

Had full head of gray (salt and pepper hair), dyed it medium brown - why I don't know! - decided I didn't like it and used OOPS (color remover) to take it out. Took out all on the sides and back, but top has orange tinge...will this help????

Asked by: Lynnie_raye58
My opinion, it may be too strong after you last OOPS use. I know this sounds terrible, but I continue to use Dawn as my first shampoo to get out old color and it seems to tone the brass down. (This was recommended by a Sally's employee to me). Also, I would try purple shampoos, and conditioners (I like Sally's Shiny Silver, they have a deep conditioner). Also, Sally's has "Blond Brilliance COOL BLONDS LATHERING TONER" that you can put on top. It has a grayish tone to it when left on a while. Good Luck! I love being silver haired! It took me three years to get to my real color-- So worth it!! I get lots of compliments on my color also!!
