Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for beginners I wanted a color that wasn't vibrant and pretty long lasting considering I wash my hair daily. This is ready to use. Best results with freshly bleached hair. It's thick and easy to apply. Add heat to your head once you put it on & cover I think with a bag or shower cap and viola! Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venus envy I bought the manic panic Venus envy and loved how the color turned out! I have medium dark brown hair so I had to bleach it twice before getting it light enough. So when I got to dye it, the color came out super bright green which is exactly what I wanted!! Not lime, not teal; green. Very satisfied!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to for color I've used almost all if the colors now and love every single one I always add a color safe conidtioner to dilute and make it speed further. I always make sure my hair is some light blonde color before use and it last a whole month without a touch up for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It Transfers! The color is gorgeous! I've tried Purple and Turquoise, which turn up well on bleached and lightened hair. However, after trying it many times, I still haven't figured out how to stop the color from transferring to my hands. After a few washes, the color still transfers. It also comes out every time you rinse your hair. It might just be a problem with me, but it's still frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I diluted the ultra violet with cheap Generic conditioner and I'm more than happy with the results. I only lightened my hair to a yellow blonde but you certainly cannot tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long lasting most of the time I've been using Manic Panic for about a year, only tried three colors, Rock n Roll Red, Voodoo Blue, and Purple Haze. I developed the nickname She-Hulk when Voodoo Blue started to fade out after about 3 weeks so that was cool. Rock n Roll Red is a lot different than other red dyes I've tried (all professional), instead of turning orange, it slowly faded to pink. It was a pain to bleach out the pink when I switched to Purple Haze, but it was a nice pastel pink after a couple months. The only one I wasn't too happy with was Purple Haze. The first time I used it, it lasted a week 'cause the pink was haunting me. Once I got all the pink out I tried again. It has only lasted a couple weeks, now my hair is Gatorade purple, with some grey highlights. It's actually cool looking, but it just does not last long at all. The purple does show back up for a bit after I blow dry my hair, but yeah it was a waste, really. Hopefully After Midnight lasts like Voodoo Blue 'cause that was my favorite!

What's the difference between the manic panic and the amplified manic panic?

Asked by: LuCyFiR3
Amplified is supposed to last up to 30% longer and it comes in a squeeze bottle. everything else is the same

I have black hair with lot of grey hair sprouting out and fed-up of people "letting me know" about them. I want to stay black and only get my greys thinking of using Midnight Blue.  Do I still have to bleach my hair to cover the greys?

Asked by: I am the real Pocahontas
If you just want your hair to be tinted blue while also covering up the greys then you should be fine. However if you want your hair to be more vibrant then you should definitely bleach it. My hair is also black so I had the same questions in the beginning but it's worth it.

I have dark brown hair(almost black) and i dont want to bleach my hair but would purple haze still show up noticeably. Im not aiming for a  right purple but more of a deep purple look

Asked by: nrosec123
My guess is you'd have some highlights in the sun but with black hair it isn't going to be too noticeable. I would also suggest getting one and only brand if you want staying power. These manic panics wash out really fast from my teen's hair.

I did the torquise but I wanted the midnight blue. What are your corrective suggestions?

Asked by: TheeeDeJ
Shampoo it a couple of times, let it dry, then do midnight blue on top and it should take fine. One thing to note, however is that midnight blue is VERY similar to atomic turquoise, and that, as midnight blue fades, you will see the atomic turquoise underneath.

I have a really light brown would I half to bleach it for the dark blue color

Asked by: Blue 227
You don't need to bleach your hair for a darker color, but manic panic tends to take better and last longer in bleached hair as opposed to "virgin" or un bleached hair.

I have lots of grey hair in front and back of my hair is dark brown, I get many of compliments. I want to brighten the gray and darken the darker brown.  Will steel blue work or midnight blue?

Asked by: Marybaja
If you're wanting to keep the Gray hairs and brighten them then all you will need is a purple toner shampoo and use that, if you use steel blue or midnight blue, they will become a dark blue.

My hair color is dark brown and I have red in it that is coming out what volume bleach so i need to lighten it to use midnight blue manic panic.

Asked by: Dyehard23
40V and tone it to death afterwards with a toner!...and then probably do a couple deep conditioning treatments and lighten again with a 20V in 2-3 days before you applying the manic panic.
