Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Thick Developer I bleach to platinum so I need a very robust developer. This one sets up nice and thick and creamy. Mixing in boosters or anti-gold products doesn't make it runny either.;

What number developer do I need to use for Age Beautiful -darkest black color ?

Asked by: Sjbella8
You need to use 20 volume Age Beautiful developer if you have gray to be covered. I color my hair with Age Beautiful 1N Jet Black with the 20 volume developer. I've heard you can use 10 volume to deposit color. When you use 20 volume the black comes out more intense and darker. This color does not lift out, at all.

How much developer will I use for my hair? I have long, thick, wavy blonde hair. I'm using 40 volume developer because I want to go much lighter.

Asked by: Mickeyshell
Well the ratio for developer to stripper is usually equal 2parts stripper to 2 parts developer. In the past I have used up to 3-4 parts developer to 2 parts stripper but u need to keep checking ur hair so that no breakage is occurring. And u might need to double or triple the amounts for the volume and length of ur hair that you are lightening

What is creme volume developpe, is 40 better than 10 ?

Asked by: Kimcrawfish01
When highlighting or lifting color, you would use 40 volume. Level 10 is for depositing color, (making hair darker or to refresh the color). On gray hair level 10 would not work, level 20 will lift and deposit.

I'm using the Dark Blonde Anti-Aging Permanent color with #20 developer. My greys are very resistant and not all of them are coloring. Should I be using #40 developer?

I use lite ash blonde in age beautiful and my hair getting darker which valume devopler should i use?

Asked by: Syedashaz
It depends on what results you want. If you use the 40 volume developer with light ash you will still get a hint of smokiness to the blonde (though the blonde will be lighter). It may be disappointing.

Is this the one that makes hair the brightest like platinum blonde?

Asked by: Jujubean
Depending on your hair color you are starting with, to get a platinum you have to bleach your hair to the lightest stage. A pale yellow. Then apply the platinum toner with the 40 vol. To get platinum there is a formula. You cannot just put the platinum toner alone without mixing it with another toner, otherwise your hair will come out purple.  Purple is the base color for platinum.  Peroxide have different volumes for how much saturation you want of the color toner.. 40 vol is usually used on high lift blondes and silvers and platinums. 20 and 30 are not as high lift so you will get more color from the toner.

I have just above shoulder natural curly Dyed black hair with some gray. I would like to maybe have some silver or white streaks or chunking done. Can this be done and what should I use?

Asked by: maffei13

If I mix some developer with my shampoo will it lift my dyed hair to a lighter shade? If so what developer number should I use?
