Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good I am a first time waxer and I do have to say that this is hard to master but I'm getting the hang of it. It does grab the hair well if applied and set correctly. My only complaints are that it takes a long time for the wax to dry and its very messy (very stingy and hard to remove). I am happy with my results though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible I am not new to using wax. I am a cosmetology student and use it on my self and others every other day without problems. This did not remove hair also the wax remover in the kit didn't work either. This is a terrible product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from first time waxer I love this product, however keep in mind you are ripping out hair. I started with my bikini line, not the smartest but proud to say I did about 80%. I used coconut oil to remove the wax and it seems to worked better. I want to do my legs but I need to order more strips, but I was able to clean up my eyebrows. I took a shower after and scrubbed where I waxed with my loofah, with a babys soap and no redness or bumps. Might try again, it's just that this is my first time and of course you have to wait for the hair to grow again. But well yeah, when the hair is long enough, sure why not. I placed my tools on wax paper so that if I dripped wax it wasn't stuck to my bathroom counter. And remember pull tight or else it hurts more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It gets the job done. This product is average, it works well at removing hair but is extremely messy. The wax gets all over your hands and is hard to remove even with the wax off product included in kit. It is difficult to get a lot of waxing done without having to reheat, I had to reheat between arms. It's a good product for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good starter Want to learn to wax so i bought when it went on sale. Very good product, the muslin strips make a difference. tried products without strips and its very painful to pull your own hair. with t he strips it gives you move of a less painful pull. My first time i did very well on eyebrows. Just need to keep at it to get your arch the way you like. good buy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE PRODUCT This product doesn't even work well enough for them to sell! It's a waste of money, and a HUGE waste of time. The wax off they have doesn't even take the wax off!! I had to use goo gone to get excess wax of my hands and legs, and off my tub. The cleaning stuff for before you wax smells just like rubbing alcohol, and the stuff they sent to help with redness is pure makeup! They should have included medicine..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it I was tired of paying for someone else to wax my lip and eyebrows (and hurt me in the process). I read over the reviews and chose to try the microwave starter kit. I'm very happy I did, the product will pay for it's self in 2 uses and I will definately purchase it again. Follow the directions for use and it will do what you need it to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Pleased I was nervous about buying another wax over the counter. I had bought several different brands of wax before and none of them would grab my hair. I used bother hard and soft waxes. I thought I would try it again because I wanted to wax before my honeymoon but didn't want to pay the salon prices. I asked the consultant what she recommended and it was the All Purpose Honee. As soon as I got home I tried it. I went ahead and cut some of the small strips into smaller ones because I was going to be doing my bikini area. I heated it up like it said and started. With the first pull I was so excited to see that it worked. After my bikini area I thought I would try my upper lip, once again very happy and excited. I think pressing the strip down for about 20 seconds really helps because it gives it time to really stick. Also, after I pulled the strip if there was a little pieces of wax left I would use part of the strip that was wax free and dab it and it helped get it up. The product gives you details on how to apply the wax and in what direction to smooth the strip. I was glad they were so detailed. Also, in the kit you get everything you need before and after waxing. The other reviews are right that you have to heat the wax often but for the results I got, it is worth it. I think after I finish the wax that I have now I will purchase a wax warmer and the Gigi soft wax for it. I know I will be using it again so the warmer will be worth the extra money. The only other thing is the kit comes with strips but you will need to buy more before all the wax is gone, but atleast you have some to get you started. Oh and when I opened my jar it was missing the plastic film on top so I had wax on my lid. No big deal I heated that up first and used the wax off of it. This is the first product I have ever used and actually wrote a review about, I am so happy with it. Next, onto waxing my legs. I have already raved about it to my sisters and friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Follow the steps I've been using GiGi Honee for years to remove thick coarse facial hair because of hormone imbalances. I used to go to a salon and have to pay to have it removed until i found out i could do it at home and save myself tons of money. The trick is to follow a few short steps. It may take a few extra minutes but you'll have greater results. The hair should be at least 1/4 in. long for the honee to grab. First, you need to wash your face and dry it completely. then use a non-talc powder on the area you are going to remove the hair from. This will prevent the wax from sticking to your skin and only to the hair, at least most of it. This is a crucial step. You will always have some residue left on the skin but this helps to not pull the skin as much, just the hair. Heat the Honee to a thin but not watery consistancy. Don't overheat it. If you do, let it cool just a bit or stir it with an applicator so that it sticks to the applicator but is still easy to spread. Then apply to small area's (about 1 1/2 in. to 2 in. diameter) at a time (if you're doing your legs or arms, then you can do bigger area's at a time). Apply a thin layer. The less the better, enough to cover the top of the hair. Start from one side then work your way over to the next. Sally's has starter kits with a sample bottle of cleanser and after hair removal sample products. So you can see which one's you prefer before buying the full size bottles. I also use the muslin strips (they work best at grabbing the hair) and use slanted wooden stick applicators. When i don't use the powder....if i ran out of it.....the honee does stick to the skin and it takes a little more effort to remove the excess, (it will also cause the honee to pull the skin off so you'll see bigger area's of redness) but the GiGi wax remover works great. Buy a big bottle to have on hand. Afterwards, use a gentle facial cleanser for the next day or two and a light moisturizer. When used correctly, it's a really great product. It removes the really thick hairs on my face and when there's a stubborn one, i just use my tweezers. Also, if the Honee does start to thicken up before you're finished, just pop it back in the micro for a few seconds. But i only have to do that if there's a fan on or it's really cold in the bathroom. Overall, it's the best product i've ever used to remove tough facial hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Regretting the purchase This brand costs less than The Body Shop sugar wax but, the effectivity is awful! It won't pull the hair at all!!! I am so disappointed with this product. The wax is left on the skin and does not stick to the strips at all. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't Recommend.... This product was the worst! I was so excited to purchase this after visiting my local Sally Beauty Supply and I am very disappointed. The wax hardens very fast, I warmed several times. I bought the product for the purpose of waxing eyebrows and legs and it was the worst decision I could have made. My eyes are swollen right now since some of the wax fell under the brow and on my skin and I had to scrub to remove the residue. The wax off product that comes in this package did not work. Most of all I waxed my legs, no hair was removed, and the wax was stuck. I tried lotion, alcohol, baby oil, nothing removed this product. It took me 2 hours to remove the access wax. (FYI if product doesn't come off use vaseline/petrolum jelly and scrape it will come off) I still ended up having to shave my legs with a razor since no hair was removed!!! Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for the money! Very moderately priced item for the results. A kit that last months for the price of one salon visit. I have used a broad spectrum of hair removal products and I ALWAYS come back to GiGi. This kit is wonderful. Easy to use by PATIENT newbies and a breeze for experienced and pro users. Fast heating and long lasting. A favorite! A+ product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WAY TOO STICKY AND MESSY...HARDENS TOO FAST Ok I microwaved the wax for 30 sec, and it looked like a nice consistency. I applied the wax and it was very effective with no hairs left behind. However, by the next strip, the wax was already really thick and catching on itself during application. So I went back into the kitchen and microwaved again...same problem after just 2 strips!! I couldn't even spread the wax properly because it was so sticky that it was sticking more to the spatula than my skin. I got some residue on my hands and parts of my skin and it was total he11 to get off! I used oil, lotion, and conditioner and it only loosened it, but it would not roll off. I coated my whole body in oil and even then I had some sticky sections which i eventually had to scrape off with a knife!! Now the knife has loads of wax on it and i've been soaking it in oil for an hour to no avail.THis is NOT worth the mess it makes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I've tried a lot of different waxes and this is by far the best so far. As long as it is warm enough, the wax goes on thin and smooth. It came off clean with all of the hair. It also smells great. Like all waxes, it works best when your hairs are longer and if you have exfoliated. I also felt that this wax wasn't as painful as some of the cream-based waxes I've used. Overall, I was very satisfied with the results. It heats easily, spreads thinly and smoothly, and pulls off hair in one stroke. As for the bottles of product that come with it, the Slow Grow smells good and made my skin very smooth. The concealer went on evenly, but didn't match my skin tone very well. The pre-hon, I guess it worked because the wax came off well with the hairs. The Wax-off however, didn't do very much at all. It made the wax not sticky, but did not actually take it off of my legs. I had to pick at it and use oil I had leftover from another wax kit to get the bits of wax off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product ever This was truly the worst product I have ever used! It was a sticky mess that was more trouble than it was worth! It got everywhere and only pulled out 2 or 3 hairs. It did make shaving easier I guess. It made me irritated too! The creams that came with it were a joke. The cleanser didn't get the wax off. After a bath and a shower I am still sticky. My fingers are sticking to the keyboard right now! I also got a tiny bit in my hair on accident and it took almost a whole bottle of conditioner to get it out. I am still not sure if I got it all. The concealer was awful. It mad me spotty. The only product I liked was the slow grow because it did smooth my skin and smelled and felt nice. Overall I am truly dissapointed that I wasted money and time and a bottle of conditioner on this produt. Hopefully the sticky wax will come off of my clothes, towell and counter or they will have added to the waste. GRRRR............Please save yourselves the trouble and do not buy this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing The product is so gentle and does not hurt when you use it. Make sure the wax is warm, and it comes off pretty easily. Works great and highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from messy, but does the job the product is very sticky. feels and looks just like a jar of caramel would. but it worked really well . i think its sticky for a reason: so it can grab all your hairs. it worked really good for me it took off every single hair and didnt leave my skin irritated. i like how they put 4 bottles of lotions and stuff and i think it is a good price for all of them put together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's good enough! okay, I decided to try GiGi's ALL PURPOSE MICROWAVE FROMULA. At FIRST i was kind of scared because I did not know if it would work as good as Sally Hensons Deluxe Spa Kit. But to my surprise the product did. I was kind of irritated with the wax because I had to keep heating it up, and it's REALLY sticky. But above all, it ripped every single hair off. One recommendation for any other person wondering if they should buy the product.... Make sure that you use the Muslin strips, they work better than the cloth strips. I guess since the formula is very sticky, the muslin strips grabs it all. Also, use baby oil to get the remaining wax off. It might be painful, but the results are worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from beyond horrible I bought this product and was told it was easy to use and came with all the cremes that I needed from start to finish. I have used different waxing problems before with no problems. The product made more of a mess then it did good, once applied was very difficult to remove, tiny amount came off with strips, which is still more then the hair that came off. The wax off creme that came in the box worked minimal to remove left over wax. Box says this is sensitive skin formula, but the wax left my skin very red and irritated, with small bruises from where my skin bled. The after wax creme did nothing at all to help soothe my skin. Took about three days before redness started to die down slightly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to use I got the kit because I thought it would be better than buying everything seperate. But the kit comes with lotions that you really don't need. The wax it comes with does not work well at all. It worked a little if I waxed over the same spot a few times, but by the time I was done my skin was raw, because you are not supposed to wax over the same spot. The wax in the kit is very messy and is extremely hard to remove. You would need some sort of oil product to remove it, and nothing like that is in the kit. The wax burner is great, so I would say just buy the burner and other wax and your own lotions and supplies all individually.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Gooey I bought this thinking that it would be easy and more effective than shaving, but I was WRONG! It is too thick and gooey and it sticks to your skin like crazy. I had to literally scrap it off. It was a nightmare. Definitely not recommended!
