Rated 1 out of 5 by from Messy, won’t remove hair, won’t harden This was my first attempt at home wax. I followed the directions exactly. Wax dripped everywhere including my carpet. It remained liquid on my skin and never hardened. I had one successful strip come off but the rest literally peeled off leaving a think layer of honey on my leg. Tried a few more times only to have it rip skin but leave hair. I tried everything to get the remaining wax off my skin and it took an hour of scrubbing with wax remover, followed by olive oil, followed by alcohol, followed to me trying hot water and soap. I had to scrap at it with my nails til it finally came off. I still have residue. Decided to shave after all that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Worst Sticky Bullsh*t I've Ever Dealt With. I've been waxing myself for years and never have I ran into something this sticky. You can either pay another $8 to get the wax cleaner or you can you straight up put oils (coconut, olive, etc.) to get the wax off. But here's the kicker - I still can't get the wax off my face, but guess what still is on my face; that's right hair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great specially for the price I think people who give the wax a bad review don’t use it properly. For example you need your hair to be grown to a certain length then clean it and put baby powder on so the wax can adhere to the hair. Also apply the wax the way the hair grows then pull the strip off in the opposite way. As for the little bit of mess made use a cotton ball and some olive oil/baby oil it will dissolve the wax and make it easy to clean up. It cost 10-25$ for one underarm wax this is how to save money lol

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works as expected but very mesy I have used this product for the first time on my underarms and hair did come off easily but it was so messy. I applied good amount of oil to remove the stickiness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am a professional and this met my expectations. I have been looking for a wax that I could use at home since I was still in cosmetology school back in 2006. Nothing has sounded promising until I saw this. It sounded like a microwavable version of the same stuff we have used in almost every salon I have ever worked in. Sure enough that's exactly what it is. I love it! There is a bit of a trick to dealing with the strings by waving the applicator in a swirling motion in the air when you first bring it out of the wax. I will be stocking this in my home from now on and recommending it to anyone who is looking for a way to wax at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best!!!! I purchased this after reading some of the other reviews. I heated new jar up for 30 seconds, but it wasn't warm enough. It took another 30 seconds. (so a full minute is what it took in my microwave) I tested it on my wrist and it was perfect. I used the GiGi muslin strips and everything went as planned. Be sure to apply pressure after you pull off your strip. It helps minimize discomfort. Also, BE SURE YOU PURCHASE THE GIGI WAX OFF. The wax is sticky. At first I tried to wash it off, but that didn't work at all. In fact, I picked up something after washing my hands and I left sticky residue on it. The GIGI WAX OFF works super easy and smells wonderful. It's worth the price. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again. LOVE IT!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! This works great for a cheap price! I wish it would get all the smaller hairs, but overall works very well. It does need more time to heat up than instructed and needs to be reheated if you take your time with it. Instead of using the wax remover, baby oil works perfectly and if you need a makeshift applicator a plastic knife works well also.

Can the microwave wax be put in the regular gigi warmer after its melted if its added to a can?

Asked by: Tswish12
Yes, I melt mine in the microwave and pour it into the gigi warmer. Then all you have to do is heat the warmer to your desired temperature. Much easier than reheating the the jar in the microwave.

Does everyone have a problem removing small hairs?

Asked by: SDtottie
I don’t, as long as wax is warm enough to capture the fine hairs and you’ve prepared your skin and it’s dry it will remove the fine downy hairs too

I want to use this on my husbands back. We originally used Nads hair remover, but it just took it off down to his skin. Will this pull the entire hair out?
