Rated 5 out of 5 by from What's with all the bad reviews? I'm a licensed pro and have worked with only hard wax and very new to soft wax. I wanted to try and learn soft wax and first thing I was looking at was this product. I bought it at Sally's the other night along with their instructional DVD. Luckily, since I already knew how to wax, it was easy to pick up learning soft wax. It was sticky (not messy) the first time. I love the smell of this wax too. I would recommend purchasing the DVD too. I manage to get both the bottom half portion of my legs with the strips and sticks given.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Messy and hardly works Was really excited to try this out but it’s insanely messy and I’m still sticky even after using the wax off lotion. It’s very stringy and gets everywhere. It did remove hair but it didn’t do the best job. Plus it gives you barely any of the strips and you need a lot with this wax

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value! First, please know that I purchased my kit from Sally Beauty supply in person. I am not a professional at anything, let alone waxing and skin care. However, I thought I would share my some tips I came up with when using this product as it may be helpful to others! Previously, I have used precoated wax strips for my face. I decided to try this kit because I wanted to wax my legs for the summer. Anyway, here are some tips from and for a beginner: 1. Wear a bathing suit or be totally naked if you can. This is a messy endeavor, especially for first timers. 2. Make sure your wax is hot enough. I noticed it getting too stringy and difficult to use if it was not hot enough. It can be a pain but plan to go back and forth to the microwave. If you find that does not work for you, I would recommend getting wax and warmer. 3. There's a bunch of wax, but you will likely need to replace the other products as needed. 4. The first time you wax, you're not likely to experience the magical results you expect. This can be for a lot of reasons, but the main one is probably because your hair grows at different rates and if you don't let the hair get long enough, it's going to miss some bits. 5. Let your hair get long enough, but don't go too long either! The shorter the hair, the harder to pull, but the longer the hair, the more painful! I suggest, when doing your first wax, that you plan to follow up in a week and maybe again in two depending on your body. If you do have a super high pain tolerance then maybe you could let it all grow out super duper long and get most of it in one go, but this seems awful to me. 6. There are enough strips for maybe one application (if doing legs). I recommend investing in additional strips. 7. Take your time! 8. If in doubt, stop. Reread the directions. Look up YouTube videos. 9. Use a thin layer of wax. Don't glob it on there! 10. Take ibuprofen about an hour before you intend to wax. It'll help minimize the pain. Other things to note: > I wouldn't use this on your face. Things can go wrong very quickly. > Remember that you can only bend so many different ways and some areas are just going to be trickier! > I found this kit to be very moisturizing in the end. I was very surprised. The rep at Sally's said that the hemp wax is good if you have very dry skin. I read reviews (not necessarily here) about people complaining about how messy this wax was. I do wonder in comparison to wax. Wax is messy! At the price of this kit, it's a good value, and with some extra care and wax strips, you'll be able to reuse it multiple times!

Does this wax remove an area that has alote of hair? What does you use to remove the hair once the wax hardens? Is this the best product to use for hair removal?

Is it supposed to be properly sealed or was it the seal suppose to dip in to the product? I recently bought the microwavable hemp wax with the seal broken i called the store and they said all of them were like that.
