Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time face wax AND I have sensitive skin I almost bought another product at Sally’s and I'm so glad I chose this instead. I have super sensitive skin and have trouble with light pimples. The other products have cautions about this on their box. I was nervous to give this one a try, but it surprised me how well it went. Yes, it takes a tea candle warmer, but that wasn’t too bad. I just sat the tin on top and it melted after 5 or so minutes. You want a peanut butter consistency. Have a cloth nearby to pick up the tin and set it down. It will get hot. When you apply the wax, let it set for 45 seconds or so and then peel. My naturally pink tone face was only red for about an hour (which is HUGE for my skin). There was no irritation. One thing I recommend for first timers ... if you get the wax on your fingers (and you will) run your hand under cold water (not warm) and use a cloth to wipe it off. Before I tried wax, I tried to use an eyebrow razor (about 3 days ago) to shave around my lip, chin. Facial hair removal is new to me, so I read that shaving was the cheapest and most preferred method. Now that I’ve tried wax, I’m not going back, I don’t like the stubbly feeling shaving leaves behind and I don’t like how often you’ll need to shave once you start. That being said, this wax only gave a mild pain and I’ve read that the results can last between 2 to 8 weeks. Also, no stubbly feel since you’re pulling from the root. I had a great experience using this product. If you need to spend a few bucks on a candle warmer, it’s worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like this product! Wow! This stuff grabs what you need gone! I forgot to buy the craft sticks for dipping so I ended up using a chopstick for application. Haha. The wax was still easy to apply and I was done with my small sideburn area in no time. I did have to pluck a few but no complaints here as those stragglers were expected. Thanks for offering the tin in a small container.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective and Minimal Pain/Irritatioin Searching for an alternative home method than what's offered in the big box beauty stores, I found this. It's pricey (if you have to use a lot/often) and a little messy but it's far more effective and of greater value. The Nads products were causing serious irritation and scarring, this was far more effective and gentle. It is in a metal tin so not safe for microwaving, but I already had a candle warmer (about $5 from a craft store) so I use that to warm the wax I need and use popsicle sticks (also bought at Sally) to apply. In the end - still cheaper than going to have my lip/brows done at a salon!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uh, hello? Its in a metal container No where in the description does it mention that the pot is metal. It says it must be heated, but for most people, heating is done in the microwave. I am not buying a wax warmer for a $6.99 jar of wax. I bought online based on good reviews so I had no idea it could not be heated in the microwave. Buyer beware.

My La Petite warmer for this but the dust. You can't find them anymore. At least that I can find. The Gigi warmer doesn't warm the wax. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Milljett
I use a glass container with a votive candle and place a small metal screen (chicken wire) over the opening on the container, set the wax on top and it works perfectly.

How do you heat this wax? If you can’t microwave it due to the metal container.

Asked by: StephDerr
Melt it over the stove on low heat, set it in center of small/flat no stick pan. Just be careful not to drip onto the pan, use pot holders to move wax to a burn proof convient location - enjoy!!
