Barely Xtensions Ultra-Seamless Clip-in 20” hair extensions can be a great addition to any hairstyle. In order to achieve a natural look, it is important to understand how to properly clip them in. First, gather your tools (tail comb and 2 clips), organize and layout your Barely Extensions familiarizing yourself with the weft selection. You should have 10 Wefts: one 8-inch weft with 4 clips, one 7-inch weft with 3 clips, one 6-inch weft with 3 clips, one 4-inch weft with 2 clips, four 3-inch wefts with 2 clips, and two 1” wefts with one clip each. We have included 2 extra clips as a back-up or for additional customization.  To prepare each weft for application, gently open each clip. To do this, start with the clip side facing you. Put both thumbs on each side of the clip and the index fingers at the front sides. Snap the clip open by applying pressure toward yourself with the index fingers. Similarly, you will close the clip by applying pressure away from yourself with the thumbs. Each Barely Xtensions Ultra-Seamless weft features micro-clips designed to stay in the finest of hair with no need to backcomb or tease the hair. Part, place, and go about your day ensured you will have a long-lasting style.

 

1. To prepare each weft for application, gently open each clip. To do this, start with the clip side facing you. Put both thumbs on each side of the clip and the index fingers at the front sides. Snap the clip open by applying pressure toward yourself with the index fingers. Similarly, you will close the clip by applying pressure away from yourself with the thumbs. 2. Start the actual application by taking horizontal partings in the back of the head and working your way up the head and then to the sides (above your ears). Be sure to align the weft to the center of the horizontal parting and insert the 4” weft into the hair first with the clip prongs facing downward; be sure to stretch the weft from side-to-side to ensure the proper fit. Once you have found the proper alignment, gently press to be sure the clip-in securely attaches to your natural hair. 
3. Place the 6” weft next; it is important to appropriately space out each weft. To do this, be sure to take a horizontal parting approximately 1 inch above the last weft applied. 
4. Place the 7” weft next following the same instructions as above.
5. Place the 8” weft one inch above the 7” piece and gently clip into place.
6. Once you have placed your 4 largest wefts in the back, you will move to the sides. 
7. Insert the 1” wefts (one on each side of your head) diagonally directly above your ear. 
8. Insert one of the 3” wefts ½ “ to 1” above the 1” strip.
9. Insert the other 3” weft directly above the other 3” strip. 
10. Leave 1/2 inch of space along your hairline to ensure your extensions remain undetectable. If you place the clips too close to your hairline, your hair extensions will be easily noticeable. 
11. When you have finished applying all your wefts, gently brush through all your hair. This will allow you to find out of there are any loose clips that you may need to adjust and it also helps blend the hair extensions in with your own hair.

"HAIRCARE: We suggest using high-quality sulfate-free and alcohol-free hair products specifically formulated for hydration as they will help keep the strands healthy and nourished. A heat protectant spray, oil serum, and leave-in conditioner will be ideal to prolong the lifespan of your Barely Xtensions. WASHING: Keep in mind your Barely Xtensions do not receive natural oils from the scalp like your own hair, therefore they do not need to be washed often. We suggest only washing your Barely Xtensions when they become unmanageable to style. The less you wash them, the longer they will last. When you wash them, gently shampoo first and then apply a generous amount of a deep conditioning mask from top to bottom. Upon rinsing, towel dry and apply a leave-in conditioner. The best way to dry your hair extensions is to lay them flat on a clean towel and let them air dry. BRUSHING: To keep your Barely Xtensions smooth and tangle-free, it is extremely important to brush the extensions. You should always brush them before and after each wear to increase the lifespan of your set. We recommend using an ultra-gentle boar bristle paddle hairbrush that can effectively detangle while avoiding breakage. STYLING: Just like your own hair, Barely Xtensions can be straightened, blow-dried, styled and curled. However, in order to preserve the lifespan of your Barely Xtensions, always use a low heat setting along with a heat protectant spray prior to styling. CHEMICAL PROCESSING: Barely Xtensions are 100% human hair and we DO NOT recommend any type of coloring, bleaching, or any other chemical process. Each Barely Xtensions set has gone through a special coloring process to accept the correct tonality for each specified shade to keep the hair in the healthiest condition possible. Coloring may decrease the hair quality as well as shorten the lifespan of your extensions. "
