Rated 3 out of 5 by from I thought this product I thought this product was ok. A little dry for my daughters hair. Didn’t provide as much moisture but enhanced her curls a little.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I got this for I got this for my daughter and she loved the smell and she also liked that it didn’t foam up like other shampoo does . I love how this is cruelty free and has all natural ingredients. Her hair loves so nice and healthy with this shampoo and conditioner. This product is very affordable and worth the purchase for curly hair for kids . [product:sheamoisture-coconut-&-hibiscus-kids-2-in-1-curl-&-shine-shampoo-&-conditioner]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This makes such a This makes such a difference with my son’s curly hair! No one else in my house has curly hair so I didn’t really know how to deal with it at first but this shampoo conditioner combo really helps! He doesn’t really like me to comb his hair or mess with it at all but with this, I don’t seem to need to after bath time. The smell is light but pleasant. Lots of kids stuff is cotton candy or blue raspberry and smells super strong but I really enjoy the smell of this! His curls stay tighter longer and don’t seem to tangle as much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this for my daughter! This shampoo smells delicious, and goes great with the other products. Only thing I wish it did was lather a bit more. But overall it’s a great product for my daughter who has médium curly hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good, stared using this product for my 19month old with tight curls. Her hair isn’t very long so I was looking for a product that moisturized without dropping the curls. I do not use this product everyday just 1-3 times a week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great two in one for curly kids or adults looking to have a short routine. It cleanses and conditions and leave hair soft and manageable without the need for a separate detangler or leave in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It’s a gentle shampoo for children’s hair It smells great, and has great slip, but it doesn’t lather, so it reminds me more of a cowash, than a shampoo. It’s still a pretty nice product.

That should work on his hair. Trust I have been through plenty of hair products for my almost 9 yr old girl. She is mixed as well her is fine/ thick in areas super curly and frizzy.

Will this work on non-curly hair? I just need the 2 in 1 because wash day is "fight day" with my 4 yeard old. Just trying to eliminate a step. Thanks.

Not sure about non-curly hair. Works great for my grandchildren’s curly and long hair.

My 12 month old has eczema and I need a curl defining cream and some type of oil for his extra dry hair. He has really tight coily curls, but his hair gets matted and dry the day after using most products.

Asked by: Elaine M
His hair is dry and matted because his hair isn’t retaining moisture. You may be shampooing his hair to often and stripping away all the nutrients. Always prepoo before you shampoo (massage coconut oil into scalp only 20-30 min before shampooing then after shampooing ALWAYS deep condition and rinse with cold water NEVER HOT! Deep conditioning is not the same as masques so don’t get them confused and it’s usually a treatment. I have a 4 yr old who HATES treatments and I’ve opted for deep conditioning treatments that stay on her hair for only 3-15 min. Follow the L.O.C. Method it stands for LIQUID(water based or aloe Vera based leave in conditioner), OIL( any natural oils or elixirs ex. Avocado oil, extra virgin olive oil, I prefer almond oil but you can try any as long as they are COLD PRESSED, but stay away from the thicker oils. Thicker oils still work for some people but I wouldn’t recommend on a 2 yr old opt for a lighter oil you can tell by its consistency) CREAM- preferably butter based creamy moisturizer. I have to use a thick butter cream for my tight coils and I mix it with a styling gel or styling cream. Some styling creams already provide moisture and curls and if you find one that works there’s no need to mix. Apply this method every time you wash his hair. Find a good daily moisturizer and moisturize hair morning and night. Saturated hair with water using a spray bottle and apply daily moisturizer (make sure it’s water or aloe vera based, should be first ingredient) then lastly seal hair with a light oil. Some oils work better than oils it depends on the hair so you have to experiment with them. Remember very little oil goes a long way don’t use to much, coat the ends then finger comb through strands. (I coat my ends and baby hairs don’t worry about coating the scalp) You will know you put to much oil if the hair is greasy. Only detangle hair on wash day, or when it’s wet with a good detangler. detangle hair before the shower or during the conditioning process which ever is easier on him. Some products may be way to thick and heavy on his hair if you see this problem opt for lightweight creams and if it’s still to thick and heavy opt for a light weight leave in conditioner also. to much product buildup everyday can leave hair dull and limp, I wash my hair once a week and in between washes I use a co wash. It gently removes product build up and isn’t as harsh and stripping as shampoo. No need to deep condition after! But sometimes I have to wash my hair twice with it. And also there are clarifying cleansers that are stronger than co washes but not at bad as shampoo. It depends on you how you use them. Knowing your hairs porosity can help too.
