Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turned my hair orange Read the reviews and used this with the level 30 developer and left it on for 50 minutes. Turned my hair brassy orange. Need to get my hairstylist to fix this ASAP!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Less damaging but not for virgin hair Seemed less strong than regular bleach but didn't fry my hair either. Easy to apply to individual pieces of hair. Used on a friend (previously untreated natural redhead) and it barely lightened. Then used on my medium blonde, previously dyed hair and worked much better. Like other reviews mentioned, the clay layer tricks you into thinking your hair is whiter than it actually is and washing out too soon. Next time I highlight with this I will probably leave on longer, I had a few yellow/orange spots where I applied to previously my unbleached areas that I think wouldn't have happened if I had left it on for 5 or 10 more minutes

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Balayage It barely lightened my brown hair. Then I tried to foil it and it became so orange the wells toner didn’t even fix it. The claylike drying consistency was easy to work with. Not thrilled with the outcome but also did not damage my hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good This worked really well on my hair! I got a bayalage at a salon and this exceeded my expectations, it was just like getting a bayalage at a salon

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stick with the regular bleach This was the first product I used to bleach and balayage my hair. I have medium brown hair and I was hoping to go a many shades lighter before toning. Unfortunately several pieces turned out orange despite leaving it on for 50 plus minutes. I did it a second time on those orange pieces without much improvement in the color. I do not recommend this product if you want to go blonde. Just stick to regular bleach. In theory, I do like the idea that it isn’t harsh on your hair and easy to use but it just didn’t do it for me. Would not recommend or buy again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turned my hair red/orange After using this product, my hair turned and orange/red. It is the worst at the root of my hair. I would not recommend, especially to anyone with darker hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DIY balayage No spill, no mess because of consistency. Worked strong and fast on my hair because I used foils but will not use foils next time to avoid over processing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lighter sun kissed My hair actually felt healthy after lightening but I do not think it was as light as I want it to be. That being said my natural is like a level 4/5 so it will take a few processes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will continue to purchase this Super easy to work with! No need for foils, thick consistency that stays on the hair wherever you place it. It was not as damaging to my hair as other products have been. No ammonia smells either!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Painting Balayage Very simple to use. Didn’t lift well on my dark roots. Even going in a cpl times you try to lighten wouldn’t lift anymore. Can one use a volume 40?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy! I received this complimentary from Influenster and I love the entire system it brightened up my ombré hair drastically without too much damage and was super easy to do myself

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love concept When I first received the balyage kit I was excited to try out.It came with the color tango toner in the color creme brulee and color charm. Now this was my first time dying my hair with these kinds of products. Now I usually get the regular box that's one solid color. I like the ide and concept from this system but; didnt like that it came with no instructions in the box which I think is a con because I dont want to burn or damage my hair. Also there is bleach involved and I have NEVER bleached my hair. So I was very scared to use it on my hair. And another thing is since I use another brand of hair dye my hair was faded so the the toner wasn't enough for me and would have need another box. The quality was good but dont think it's for me. I would recommend to people who have already dyed there hair before. *Received these products complementary for testing purposes and honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to use! So for sure nervous to try to lighten my own hair. This system is super easy to do and use. Just mix apply and wait the amount of time for the desired lightening you're looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing toned results I was so unsure about doing the Balayage system from home, but I am so glad I did; it was SO easy, I used no foil and got excellent natural looking results. I received this product complimentary for review purposes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mess free I got this and I've never done my own hair but I thought how hard could it be? Not hard at all! was practically mess free didn't bleach anything but my hair. It is a clay based product so it doesn't expand as fast as other products and it lifted my hair really well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product This is a great product for the person that’s doesn’t want to spend hours in a hair salon. I was a little nervous at first because I had never used this product before but it turned out amazing. This product was sent to me for free for testing purposes only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better then what I was using I received This product as a sample from Influenster I like it better then the previous hair dye I was using it was much easier to use only thing I didn’t like was that i left it in to long and my highlights went way they be came darker but that was my flat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product This product was extremely easy to apply nothing complicated about the instructions which was a plus. I received this complimentary from Influenster for reviewing purposes and it was a hit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tread lightly This system was sent to me via Influenster. I thought I would be really excited to play around with my hair color but after seeing the instructions, the ingredients, and the color sent to me, I got really nervous. The application of the color leaves a lot of room for error if you are doing this at home and I would advise this product being applied by a stylist/ colorist. I wouldn’t buy this to do at home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Range I was supposed to use this product because of Influenster, but I guess it got lost on the mail. However, i have been following the campaign and it looks like it has a good range so it will work in brunnettes and blondes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective but.. If it’s your time utilizing a this product do a lot of research! Sadly the packaging didn’t include any instructions. Once I researched I was very happy with the end result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent products I received this as a complimentary gift from Influenster and I’m amazed of how good it works. My hair already had highlights but they were looking brassy and now my hair looks beautiful. I would totally recommend this to anyone specially because it’s very easy to use and it doesn’t have any harsh smells.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great color! I tried this product a month ago and liked the results. I am fairly new to the professional hair dying ways and I had some research to do prior to starting. I wasnt sure how long to leave the product in or how to apply it exactly so I used YouTube and the internet to make sure I didn't do it wrong. After figuring out the directions I was able to apply and use it fairly quickly. I really liked the color and how it made my hair feel. I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes through influenster.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Quality! I am so happy I finally got around to using this product that will save me so much money in the long run! It is so easy to apply once you get the consistency just right. My hair did not feel coarse after the use, and blended easily well with other light portions of my hair. I highly recommend. Believe me when I say the quality is what makes this better than the others!

My natural hair is about a 3-4 and my end goal is between 10-12. I was curious if I got this would it be safe to apply two or three times over a few months to be able to achieve my goal color?

Asked by: Tmae4218
No I do not recommend this product to achieve that level. My Natural hair colour is about a 4-5 and it doesn’t lift very much With this product. However, after a few sessions used on my already blonde balayage it has lifted nicely, but subtle. It’s nice to keep my blonde pieces fresh, being careful not to touch my natural brown roots too much as it turns orange and very hard to lift even after a few tries.  Perhaps a level 40 developer could be used with the lightener???? That would be wonderful if possible because this product is awesome to use and very gentle. Super, duper easy to use.

What developer do I use with this? I have light brown hair so I was thinking a 30 but don't know what brand to use.

Asked by: Joanne123
I would use 30 from any brand (cream)-the peroxide that comes with the lightner is not strong enough in my opinion

Can I use this over my Tango 6R to balayage? My hair is long but, do I need this large size?  I use about 1/3 6R tube for re touch, a little more if doing whole head.

Asked by: Kathy1959
I purchased the large size lightening powder and developer, and I felt that I needed to use it about 3 times to really lighten my hair. This will give a very subtle lift, which is good because it's not easy to mess up. My hair had some very old washed out color on it, mixed with natural dark blonde hair and it still took that much. On red hair color, you would absolutely need the larger option.

Does the differ from regular bleach lightener if so , what ?

Asked by: Lindsay08
This lightner is designed for freehand painting. There’s no need for foils. It’s a clay based lightner that creates a little shell around the hair that hardens but keeps the inside bleach moist. It’s used for a more natural look.

I used this today on a level and did the balayage and left it on for 35-40 minutes and it only lifted about 2 shades is this normal

Asked by: Barbara kj
It’s made to process for 50 minutes and should lift about 4,5 levels depending on the hair
