Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magic grip hairpins this pins re long lasting. The last time I bought these was 10 yrs. ago and have lost a few and they started to weaken. But I was thrilled to see I could buy them again. I use them on my updo's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used these for years and I'm coming back for more I don't understand the poor reviews, I've bought these for years and I'm coming back for more. I've had them break after several uses but never upon first use. My hair is very fine and soft so I can get by with using one to hold a messy bun. I do wish they were more pliable like the material hair combs are made of, but I LOVE them. One pack will last me months and months, I don't use them every day but almost every day. I pull my hair up after work and panic if I cant find one!!!LOL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Black/AA Hair I use these for (4A) natural hairstyles and the clips hold very well. I prefer them over rubber bands and the thicker/kinkier your hair is, the better it holds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes a lazy hair day a good hair day My Messy bun game is STRONG now because of these. I can pull my hair up in a ponytail then fix the "bun" part with these. It's a game changer and easier on my hair over all! I use them almost daily

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent Design Poorly Executed Love how these easily and securely hold any updo that I can create but that is where the love affair abruptly ends. When I first open the package, I have to gently file a little protruding hard piece off of each one to avoid snagging/snapping off my hair. I use three to four as a “set” to hold my hair in place. Each set lasts only about three uses before they weaken and are then useless. Please improve the quality and you’ll have a perfect product and a loyal customer who’ll highly recommend these.

Any videos on how to use them? I can’t get it to hold tightly. My hair is long and fine.

Asked by: NikkiK3333
Use the same way as regular hairpins (not bobby pins).  For example, when putting hair in a bun, insert the pin into the side of the bun perpendicular to your scalp, pick up some hair from along your scalp, turn the pin to lie flat against your head (pointing towards the center of the bun) & slide pin into bun.  Repeat with two or three more pins all around the bun. My hair is long and fine, too.  I only need about three or four pins to hold a bun or a french twist and they don’t slip out like hairpins tend to do.  Good luck.

I’m looking for bobby pins that won’t make a metal detector go off these dnt have any metal in them correct I work in a prison Nd my hair is long but I can’t use regular bobby pins

Asked by: Mamarussell
Yes these are all plastic absolutely no metal. I have very long hair and these are the only pins that hold my hair firmly in place.

Can you use these for pin curling the hair instead of the metal ones

Asked by: Mimigkids3
I really don't think these would work for pin curls as they are more like regular hairpins than clips.

Are these available in metal

Asked by: Belhall1
Unfortunately, spine people, like me, have metal allergies, so, finding plastic pins is a blessing.

How to use this product?

Asked by: Rash2312
I have silver hair and use three clear magic grips  to secure my hairdo placed in bun.  They hold up all day.  I have used them for 10 years and have never broken one.
