Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT USE I used this on my blonde/ light brown hair and it faded to a GREEN COLOR and still has not came out even after going in for a professional tone! BEWARE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG! This stuff works! I have heavily foil weaved bleached hair that over time looked and felt like straw no matter what products I used on it. I bought this color mask in golden honey blonde, and an Ion color glaze (same color, which I haven't tried yet) and used this mask once so far, leaving it in about 3 minutes. I didn't have high expectations, but figured it couldn't hurt either. What an unexpected surprise I got - the color results were obvious even damp. And even better - it dried to a natural, believable color that is vibrant, shiny and glossy. I am impressed and a true believer in these products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Titanium Although these weren't the results I expected (and I'm SO glad I didn't use this on my own hair), my son loves the way it turned out. It's multidimensional, as there are different shades of blue and purple throughout his hair. We wet his hair and applied this the first time, leaving it on for 3 minutes, then rinsed and dried it. It left a pretty blue color, but we wanted to see how vibrant it could get. Immediately after the first application, we applied again on dry hair and left it for 5 minutes. This is the result of the second application. Now we just wish we had gotten a couple more colors to experiment with!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT This product is horrible. I had used it in the beginning of July for a celebration thinking it was going to be cute. I applied it twice in two different days. On the product package it says “washes out in 4-5 washes” It still is showing in my hair and it’s NOVEMBER. I have washed my hair millions of times and it’s still in it. People have commented to me about my hair being “green” and i hate it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is AMAZING!!!! I went into Sally's one day and an employee recommended this product to me, I went with the red hot although the color that I dye my hair with is Magenta by Loreal hicolor, I use this product once a week and don't have to dye my hair as often anymore! I don't use the product alone though, I add it to my conditioner and leave it on for 5 minutes, it does the job and keeps my hair vibrant and I use less by adding it to my conditioner so I don't have to purchase the product as often. I do recommend using gloves when using this product because it WILL stain! I'll continue to buy this product as long as I keep my hair red, it's amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Golden Honey Blonde is great on natural hair My hair is undyed, dirty blonde/ashy. I’ve had stylists match it at level 8A blonde if that’s helpful. I wanted to look “blonder” without dying or bleaching my hair and picked this up. I left it on for 5 minutes the first time and noticed my hair was more golden but not really noticeable. I did it again and left it on for 15 minutes and my hair is dark golden blonde. I’m so impressed at how natural it looks and how easy it was to use this! I also love that my hair isn’t damaged and is still silky. My best friend asked me if I dyed my hair blonde and was surprised to hear I used a color depositing conditioner. I had to go to several Sally stores to find this because golden honey blonde is frequently out while the other colors are still in stock. I would be nervous to use this on dyed hair- I’m just not sure what kind of results you would get if your hair is porous (especially after reading reviews on here of people using the fashion colors on bleached hair). My hair is pretty golden so it may take you yellow if you’re bleached platinum. For natural dark blondes who want to be golden dark blonde without peroxide, this is a must!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nope! I had used Arctic Fox to dye my hair vibrant, bright red but it was fading and i wanted a fast refresh for Halloween. This product was recommended, so I gave it a shot. After 15 minutes of rinsing with cool water I knew I was in trouble, the red never ran clear, and continued to bleed all over EVERYTHING! I've used bright red dyes, I've used every color vibrant you can and I've NEVER experienced color bleeding like this! I've had to sleep with my hair in a bun for a week because sleeping with it down dyed my skin bright red! My blue towels and sheets are streaked in red, I've had to scrub my sink and counters because even a tiny piece of hair that falls in the sink bleeds and stains. Not to mention it took my bright red, faded hair, to a deep red/maroon eith just one application; which is much darker than I had wanted. It's been a little over a week and I still have to wash my hair with gloves on, to avoid dyeing my hands red. Unless you want to live in a world covered in various shades of whatever color you're planning to use, I DO NOT recommend this product.

I recently dyed my hair a blue black a month ago. It actually looked more like a pitch black rather than a blue black. My hair is fading to a dull brown black color. Will the jet black make my hair an intense black color?

Asked by: Moonlight Witch
I think so. Black does cover well. It will be temporary ok. It will probably wash out next time you shampoo it, however you can just put more in. Don't forget to put gloves on in the shower when putting this on or your hands and nails will be black. This is a good temporary fix until you can permanently color your hair again. Plus it conditions your hair.

I have natural dark brown hair, previously lightened and dyed pink/purple then back to dark brown. It's now faded to a med brown. Will the black actually turn my hair black or least black/brown?

Asked by: Lourenay
It will but will also wash out and fade eventually

Could anyone kindly tell me if this will cover gray hair? Thanks!

Asked by: Allicats
I have only used the blue, it did completely cover my gray.

How do I apply Pigments color solutions?

Asked by: Pattylee
You just apply as is to wet hair using gloves. This is my routine: After I wash my hair and it's towel dried, I combine Hot Red and Magenta and mix the two together in a plastic bowl (I also add a little bit of water or conditioner to make the consistency not as thick), then using my hands (wearing gloves) I just apply it all over. Directions say to leave it in for 3-5 minutes, but I usually leave it on for 20 mins or so.. not sure if it makes a difference leaving it on longer, but that's just what I've been doing and the colors always come out really vibrant. Then I rinse my hair.

Can the magenta give dark brown hair a tint?

Asked by: KenzleyN
It's possible under the right lights. It will not be much. It is really better on pre colored hair or hair that has been lightened. On it's own, on virgin hair, probably not much. Especially dark brown. It barely does anything to my dark brown roots.

So I've been dyeing my hair black for almost 4 years now. Recently I got my roots touched up and my stylist messed up the colors leaving my roots VIOLET. It's not drastic but still noticeable. Will the auburn ruin my hair or will it cancel out the purple?

Asked by: Violet21
The Auburn does not have the ability to reduce Violet unfortunately. The ion Color Brilliance Hair Color Remover may be a great, gentle option for slight removal of your discoloration.

Has anyone found this to be drying on the hair (since it has isopropyl alcohol in it)?

Asked by: Anonymousse
There's no isopropyl alcohol in this (read the ingredients for product contents). Cetyl and stearyl alcohols are not drying, they behave like long-chain fatty acids and are very moisturizing for hair, which is why they're in most conditioners. If your hair drys out after using conditioners containing those alcohols, you may need a more moisturizing conditioner with oils or silicones (I know everyone has a hate-on for silicones right now but they work very well for some people) or your hair may be reacting to other ingredients, but cetyl and stearyl alcohols don't dry out hair. :)
