Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but didn't get to use much I bought this because I was going to bleach my hair, but then after I bleached I ended up just coloring it again. I will say I did use it once on the test stip of my hair that I bleached before I did my whole head & I was very satisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product! Used this to try to reduce brassiness in my daughters hair. Did not reduce any brassiness, made it silver in spots and very dry. Hair stylist said he never saw anything like this. Now he has to darken the blonde to make it look uniform! Lesson learned, only use professional products!

Does this help control the grassiness that occurs a few days after coloring?

Asked by: Bfergf23
It is recommended to use 2/3 times a week to prevent the brassiness. The Uv rays, minerals in water , all can contribute to the brassiness issue. If you bleached your hair blonde , then yes it will help combat some of the shiny brassiness and Banana yellow.

Are there any negative side effects for using this product more than what is recommended? Why shouldn't it be used more than twice a week?

Asked by: Joombles Mcworthington
The product is a dark enough purple that you will dye your hair purple if you use too frequently, especially if your hair is porous from previous bleaching. I use it only to correct yellowing as I notice it.

I have naturally curly (seriously curly) gray hair. More white on top w/more silvery on the back & bottom hair.  The reviews are pretty much from blonde/treated hair. How does it work for us fossils?

Asked by: Sheckyearl
let it soak in for 20-30 minutes to get any results

Is this product used as a treatment. I am used to having customers use a shimmering lights shampoo. Is this more efficient ? Does it work in the same way?

Asked by: Jennyb32
Hi Jenny this is solely used for on hair that's the color of a banana yellow. Or even silver hair. It's not for the brassy orange kind. This is good for an alternate other than shimmer lights shampoo. I recommend to not put too much on a person's hair and it can be used again when the sees the color fading back to its yellow banana color or when silver hair has those yellowish tones in some areas. Hope this helps. (Beauty Advisor at Sally Beauty) East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

I've been growing out my natural greys for 2 years now. I have 0 hair color left in it which was my goal. I'm noticing some yellowing on my greys due to cigarette smoke. So im shopping around for a mask to help get rid of cig. smoke yellowing. ???
