Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for natural hair I bought this a month ago and am in love with the new silk element shampoo and conditioner it so detangled and makes your hair smooth and soft

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised! I brought this product today both shampoo and conditioner and I loved them both. I have natural thick hair and the shampoo had a great lather and my hair felt very clean and was soft after rinsing. I used the conditioner and combing thru my hair was very easy considering the coarseness. After rinsing the conditioner out I went back to comb thru and it was so manageable and soft. I brought the huge bottles of each so I believe I made a very good investment. This products works for me!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hair growth is unbelievable with this product Bought this about a month ago and I will never go with another shampoo or conditioner. The smell is fantastic. It makes my hair soft, smooth, and shiny, both my mother and I are addicted to this product. Our hair has grown over an inch just in the month we have been using it. I'm not sure if it's the olive oil or what but honestly the best shampoo/conditioner out there!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Bought this because it said "luxury moisturizing" and my hair needs moisture. It is terrible. My hair felt hard & crunchy. It was full of static and just looked horrible. Returned the product and purchased Biotera. Hope IT works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On My Best Seller List I sold this shampoo to my cousin who loved it. She didn't HAVE to condition with it. Her niece stayed over and she told her to use it and she can't stop talking about how great it is! Now I am selling them both a bottle of shampoo and a conditioner!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just wasn't for me While the lather seemed promising it just wasn't for me. I first tried it with the matching conditioner and that was a fail. My hair looked dull and felt very crunchy, also there was no added shine. It could've been protein overload, but I'm not sure since I am able to use other protein products without this happening. Not to mention, my scalp was itchy and this second time using it will be my last due to my scalp not only being itchy but burning as well. I'm sorry to bring this review down, but it just didn't work for me. I certainly hope no one else has to experience the problems I had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shampoo Treasure! I have very thick, damaged hair. I am always searching for products without alcohol that won't further aggravate my hair's frizzy nature. This shampoo made my hair feel soft even before conditioning and it has a neutral yet pleasant smell. While it is located in the African American hair care section, it worked wonders on my similar hair texture and the rest of the Silk Elements products are great for heat/color/brushing damage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't Meet Expectations I love the Silk Elements Glossing Polish and thought I'd give the shampoo and conditioner a try after hearing such rave reviews. I hate to say this, but I was terribly disappointed. My hair typically handles any type of shampoo & conditioner fairly well. But, this was shampoo that left my hair frizzy and matted. This is one purchase that I would definitely not make again. I will simply stick with Motions Lavish Shampoo that has never let me down :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FAB!!! as you can see from the title of this review i absolutely LOVE this product. I couldn't find the big bottle of this shampoo online to write a review about, so I just chose to write about the little one, but go to the stores people. sallys has this shampoo in a bug bottle for like 8 or 9 dollars. well this is by far the best shampoo i have ever used on my hair, since i decided to wear my hair out back in march. i am so mad at myself for just now finding out how awesome this stuff is. product review: I am african-american with SUPER thick hair that always manages to tangle like crazy whenever i wash it. so i needed something to help detangle and make air drying easier, since cream of whackure hasn't been doing it for me i decided to try something else. i have tried a few different shampoos that are supposed to detangle, but none of them seem to do it for my hair. so, i wasn't expecting to much from this shampoo, but silk elements proved me wrong. right after i washed my hair out i noticed how easy it was for my fingers to get through, so i could really wash out my scalp. this product is a great detangler. i used the silk elements conditioning packet after i shampooed and it was wrap! my hair felt so good and i could really really get my fingers through my mane! do yourself a favor and buy this and the silk elements conditioning packet for super soft and silky hair. i am going back to sallys for all of the products from this line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ick! Obviously, this product works well for some people but not for everyone. For me, it made my hair disgustingly stringy. I hope someone else has better luck

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My Hair Felt Like A Broom This shampoo made my hair so dry and hard. It was so hard to comb through, I was so frustrated and disappointed in this product. I have heard great things about this product but it was just not right for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dries Out Hair Its hard finding a good moisturizing shampoo but because I like most Silk Elements products I tried this out but it left my hair dry. I don't like it and I probably won't use it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value & Price I usually purchase Softsheen Optimum Oil Therapy Ultimate Recovery Shampoo from the local Pharmacy. I have used it for over 3yrs and like how soft it made my hair feel but due to illness, was forced to shop online. I found Sally during a Google search and I searched for it on here but they don't carry the exact same kind that I use but a slightly different version for about twice the price. I decided to try and find something else. Silk Elements was on sale but I was used to buying a 13.5 oz of the other shampoo (which is over twice the 6oz of this product) for about $4 so even on sale I was hesitant to buy it but decided to give it a try after reading some of the reviews and because I liked the "Silk" in the name. Well I was not disappointed. It only took a small amount to get my hair lathered. One of the other reviewers commented that it was thin and easily spilled and caused waste but mine was not thin but fairly thick in consistency. All in all I think it was worth the price because I don't have to use a lot and it was just as good (if not slightly better than the other product) as far the results on my hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed ive been wanting to try this shampoo and conditioner for a while now...i use the mouse and i love it, and most of the reviews have been positive, so when i saw it on sale and my regular shampoo wasnt, i gave it a totally didnt work for me at left a lot of residue and the conditioner was almost waterproof..haha..i tried to rinse it out and it just stuck to my hair..haha..ive never felt anything like that before...soooooooooooo i went back and got my regular biotera...i really wanted to like it..and it smells great.. :) but for my hair type it just didnt work for me...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for everyone One of the store associates recommended the product to me. I tried it as soon as I got home and the results were not what I expected. My hair became hard as soon as the shampoo touched my hair. I gave the product the benefit of the doubt and continued to use the conditioner because most conditioners makes your hair soft when left in the hair. I was completely wrong. The shampoo made my hair hard and the conditioner made my hair dry. I am highly disappointed in this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from meh It wasn't awful, but it certainly didn't make my hair silky, in fact, it did just the opposite. My hair after using this product was WAY frizzy (and I'm a person who NEVER gets frizzy hair). I sold it to a family friend who has rather unhealthy hair though and with her because her hair was so unhealthy it did improve her hair's health, but with my hair, it just made my hair look awful. If you want a good shampoo, go with volumax!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Average This shampoo is a good shampoo for the price. It did make my hair soft and I could really feel that my hair is clean. Does not leave residue or dandruff in my hair. I don't have any complaints but I expected shinier hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best hair purchase I have EVER made I have been purchasing Redkin and AG shampoo and conditioner, which is double the price of this for the last 8 to 10 years. I recently just discovered Sally's and I purchased 1 litre of both the shampoo and conditioner for $8 each Canadian dollars. It is sooooo worth it for me. I applied the shampoo and instantly felt my rough, dry hair (color treated 6 months ago) feel silky and then I applied the conditioner and my hair felt super silky! I really like how they made the conditioner thick . . and OMG . . . love the smell! The real test was when I towel dried my hair and could feel the difference already. My hair felt smooth and less frizzy as it dried. Someone had mentioned in the reviews that their hair fell out quite a lot and I was really worried about that but luckily, that didnt happen to me! I will definitely be purchasing many more liters of this in the future. The only thing I did not like (because I am clumsy) was that the litre's dont come in a pump. . . you have to grab the litre, uncap it and if you have slippery fingers, then you could loose some product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I like this product a lot better than other items that I have tried in the past. It did not tangle my hair or dry it out. The only down side to this is that it has a very thin runny consistency which leads to wastage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product I have only used this product once on my hair and I must say if you have dry hair this is the product to use. It really moisturizes your hair. I also used it once on my daughters hair and I really like the results with her hair because her hair soaks up oil. I don't think that I will use it for my hair again but I will definity use it for my daughter. Very nice moisturizing shampoo, and the conditioner is nice also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shampoo! 100% black, with Type 4 hair. My hair is all-natural That being said, I love this shampoo + conditioner (make sure you use both). Normally I use Motions, which is good, but Silk Elements leaves me hair somewhat softer. Just make sure you use the shampoo AND the conditioner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Shampoo, Very Good Price I've been using very a very expensive brand of shampoo for years now on my relaxed and somewhat damaged hair. I never thought I'd be able able to find something equally good on my hair for less than I was spending, but this stuff is not only really good it's SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. The smell is very nice and very light, not overpowering. The only thing is it's so gentle it doesn't always wash my hair clean so sometimes I have to shampoo it twice. I'd rather it be that way though than strip my hair! I'm going to be trying other products by this brand now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't know about this one... I want to like all the Silk Elements products. They all smell so good, nice packaging and the word "silk" immediately makes you think that if you use them, your hair will be soft and luxurious! Not so with this one... This shampoo is not very "moisturizing" at all. It left my relaxed, African-American hair feeling "stripped" and kind of rough. And also, like another reviewer, I saw a bit more shedding of my hair, too. But this may have been due to trying to comb through all of the tangles that it left behind! If you do use it, I highly recommend a deep conditioner afterward, as I probably should have done-- or you will have problems! I will be returning this shampoo for something different!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Its okay I'm black and I use this product in my hair and it feels like it literally sucks all the moisture out of my hair, it makes it feel hard and dry, thank goodness for the conditioner which puts the moisture back into the hair. If you do not have the conditioner then your out of luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Product I wanted to use this product after I read all of the reviews, so I went to Sally's and purchased the Luxury Moisturizing Shampoo. I must say that it was great! I have only good things to say. My scalp was clean, and the hair was soft and manageable. After shampooing, I combed my hair and it was so easy to comb. The comb just passed through my strands effortlessly. I have now found a great shampoo and will buy the large size once I run out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Moisturizing shampoo I liked this shampoo. I was able to use it on my hair, my son's and even my husband liked it. I can't even say for the price it's a good shampoo. It's a good shampoo period. FYI: I'm an African American women with 4A hair, my son has 3a'ish hair. HTH.

I'm looking for some new shampoo and conditioner. Is this new silk elements shampoo and conditioner good for natural thick hair?? I loved the green bottle. Is this one as good?

This shampoo is very good for lifting your moisture, but I recommend adding some natural oils to your regime. This shampoo will not solely correct the issues.

Is this shampoo (and the conditioner) ok for colour treated hair?

I have greying thick curly hair, and have It highlighted about every 5-6 weeks. I bought this shampoo and conditioner because my hair is very dry but now I am concerned it is not meant for colored hair. My original hair color is light reddish brown. Please advise.

I bought this product for the same reason, it does not affect the color to fade in my hair.
