  • Instantly smooths the cuticle and improves elasticity Multi-functional non-ammonia glossing cream Contains active levels of rare argan oil Locks in moisture Refreshes color
One ‘n Only® Argan Oil Demi-Permanent Glossing Cream is what hair color should be. Rich, brilliant colors crafted in Italy are infused with active levels of rare argan oil. Colors are fade-resistant, vibrant, luminous, and true. The Demi-Permanent Glossing Cream is a multi-functional, non-ammonia color that complements One ‘n Only Argan Oil Permanent Hair Color. Refreshes color, locks in moisture, instantly smooths the cuticle and improves elasticity. Perfect for blending gray or toning double processed or highlighted hair while boosting shine.
  • 1. Determine the natural depth or level of the hair. Next, determine the percentage of gray.

     2. Determine the desired level and shade. The mixing ratio is 1:2 (1 part color for 2 parts Activating Lotion).

     3. Wearing plastic gloves, mix color and Activating Lotion in a plastic bowl, using a tint brush (or mix color with Activating Lotion in an applicator bottle, shaking gently).

     4. Apply color using tint brush or applicator bottle.

Processing time: 30 minutes to blend gray hair up to 50%. Up to 20 minutes to refresh color-treated or chemically treated hair. Up to 10 minutes to tone double processed or highlighted hair.

Application for hair has not been colored: Section hair into 4 sections for ear to ear and down the center. Take ½ -inch sections and apply color starting from the scalp down to the mid-shaft (if ends are porous, don’t pull color through). Continue to do this until all four sections are completed.

  • 1 part color to 2 parts activating lotion. Creating your own formulas to achieve custom shades is easy with One ‘n Only® Argan Oil Demi-Permanent Glossing Cream. For example ½ 7N Medium Natural Blonde mixed with ½ oz 5N Light Natural Brown gives you a perfect 6N Dark Natural Blonde.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ashy colors pull way too blue I'm still undecided on whether this has made my hair any glossier, but I will say that 10A lightest ash blonde turned my conditioned and protein-filled platinum extensions a splotchy blue, as if a pen exploded all over them. Thankfully I was testing before putting it on my head. The "natural" colors however (I got 3N and 7N) are surprisingly cool toned in a good way, so I was able to achieve the effect I wanted (sombre balayage on overly blonde hair.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than expected My natural hair color is medium brown and I have a few subtle highlights and about 3 gray hairs, lol. I was previously touching it up every couple months with Redken EQ in 4N. I gave this one a try and am fairly pleased with the results. I achieved the darkness I wanted, but wish I had gone for neutral rather than chocolate, which is my own fault. it turned out a really rich, beautiful dark brown with just a hint of burgundy when the light hits. It reminds me of Dr Pepper. It was a little messier to apply than the Redken, but the smell is actually pleasant and the results are great. My hair looks glossy and healthier than it did before treating it. I will buy again in the correct shade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brassy hair gone So in the summer I had wanted to lighten my 1b color hair to a medium brown. The first dye jobs were done by a professional who lifted my roots way to light. The second time she tried to balance out the colors but instead I turned out too orange and brassy. I wanted a chocolate med brown but ended up orange. I went to another salon in July to correct this horrible orange and ended up a reddish brown but my roots were still to light. Fast forward to October my hair color is fading roots are brassy and my overall color was a clownish nightmare consisting of 3 colors I used the Demi gloss in 4ch and let it sit almost 30 min on roots before coloring my ends for another 15 min wow wow wow what a difference it’s soft one color and the perfect shade of coco brown I originally wanted!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Runs dark, but still amazing! Extremely easy to use. I have a lot of hair and I could finally get away with just using one bottle instead of two for my ridiculously long hair! I've used the ion demis before and this one left gave me much better and even coverage of my blonde hair. While it was very slightly damaging (more hair fell out than usual compared to how much falls out in a normal shower) it somehow left my hair feeling very moisturized and reduced a lot of my frizz! Just be careful as the colour 5N isn't a light brown like the name says (I used the matching developer). It's quite dark but I'm still happy with it and know it'll fade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Subsided Brassy Colors I recently had my hair dyed at an upscale salon that I was hoping to get a nice ashy color, but unfortunately that was not the case. My hair is an extremely dark brown, so naturally it had the ugly, orange undertones. I did not want to rebleach my hair and destroy it anymore, so I decided to give the 10A a chance. At first it didn't look like it did much, but with a blue shampoo, I noticed the beautiful ash color 10A has in bits of pieces of my hair. I dyed it again with the 20 developer and this time it took out a decent amount of the orange! It is currently a nice, blonde with some ash undertones, but the orange is still noticeable, so hopefully another round of dye will take out some more. My hair has been extremely stubborn and almost everything would not work (including bleaching it 3 times lol) but this color has helped get rid of a lot of the brassiness which I am so grateful for, because the lighter it gets the easier it will be to finally get the true ashy beige color I am looking for. If you been having the same problems and do not want to bleach your entire head (again) I would definitely give this dye a try and if you do not see immediate results, try a blue shampoo (I recommend the matrix).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10A Lightest Ash Blonde My go to shade for correcting any warm coloring issues. This neutralizes the warm tones and makes my color appear natural. I lighten my Medium brown hair to a dark blonde then color correct with this after it dries. This adds shine as well. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this dye that one review saying her blonde turned purple is pretty laughable, hope she updates it after a few washes when it fades into the whitest ash blonde you could hope for. anyways, argan is my go to out of salon dye as it matches exactly the quality of my salon dyed hair. i'm ash blonde, and have lightened my hair below my roots and apply argan chrome dye semi-weekly. first couple days my hair is a very dark chrome and fades beautifully into a silver and then a white blonde. i love this dye, it keeps my locks so healthy looking and feeling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "Lightest Ash Blonde" is actually ugly purple! I dyed my hair last night with the Demi dye "Lightest Ash Blonde" and I even used the Demi dye from the same brand. I left it on for about 15 minutes and it was getting weirdly purple and I got nervous so rinsed it out and now my whole head is a dark, purple, grey color and I'm pretty upset. My beautiful blonde hair is ruined. This was my first time using this brand and I will NEVER use them again. So unbelievably disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hair Saver So after reading the reviews I gave this a shot. I have been a box dye level 1 for 6 years. My natural color is a level 3. Doomed right? Not exactly. After doing my homework and a failed hair salon attempt I decided to get to a level 9 balayage with a level 6 base all ash. I've got a big set of bravery lol. I had to strip my hair 3 times with color oops till it stopped working and it left the front of my hair a burnt orange (main portion I dyed) and the back like a carrot with hot roots. I was a total mess there was no turning back. I bleached my hair 5 times over 4 months I used 10 vol the whole time. Finally got my level 9 in zone 2-3 and the back bottom a level 8. In the midst of all this I have dyed my roots to mask the mistakes with a level 4 big mistake. I bleached bathed my roots to a level 6 which is by far as orange as can be. I tried to fix them with a permanent and created a bigger problem I overlapped and created a band I now how to clean up. I went on a whim to spare my hair from another beating and got this in a level 7 ash. I did not have high hopes but it worked. Killed all the warmth and fixed my banding. I acquired many tools to get this done bought a Swatch of levels of bleaching. This is important what we see and assess isn't always what it is, I see warmth someone else may not. But I would rather do things by definition than a whim. 1 thing to note about DEMO PERMANENT COLOR is that it is a deposit only, NO LIFTING. So it you lighten to a level 7 and that's where you plan to stay, get a shade up and always buy the brands developer or activating cream. Sadly that is how companies make their money. There are great brands just it well know that when you mix results are unpredictable due to the composition of the product on a chemistry level. Why would they make a color compatible with all developers if they can make money from that too. Needless to say get a Swatch so you know by textbook definition what level you are. And always go 1level up, stick to the brand you get with it's accompanying ingredients. Don't buy they cheap developer because your on a budget spend the extra 2 bucks and get the right one to get good results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Made my hair very soft and shiny. Used the demi and permanent in 1N. I ended up accidentally buying the demi thinking it was the permanent but its fine because this turned out to be too blue for me. I had colored my hair with l'oreal preference in Blue Black Neutral base mix with half tube 1N perm color with 10 vol. It turned out too blue for me and didn't process the top half of my hair as well. So I went back in like 5 days later to put this on. Hoping it was a neutral base black. That's what it seems like on the packaging and I didn't really see anywhere that said that it was a blue base but once I had started putting it on my hair it seemed quite inky blue. (Not as much as the l'oreal) I can't say on behalf of the perm color in 1N if it's too blue but this was definitely a blue base black IMO. It did even out the previous coloring though and made my hair feel SOOOOOO soft and look so smooth. I really like Argan oil brand. I have also used their perm red color. I have yet to use the developers, they're pricey IMO and the only time I pick up the tubes of color are when they're on sale or buy 1 get 2. So I can't say if using it with the marketed developers are better or not. Not a huge fan of the tube system because I find it very hard to push out all the product. Especially when you're getting to the end of the tube and it feels like it's trapped in there and if you're buying it at regular price ( and how much product I use since i have thicker hair) it's kind of frustrating. Other then that and the black not specifying anywhere on the box that its a blue base, I really do love the product.

I applied this for the instructed time for toning, and it turned an odd dingy brownish pink with hints of green in some spots. I immediately applied the one n only color fix and had to switch to another brand for toner.

Do you have to use the activating lotion with the lightest ash blonde or can you use a developer

Asked by: Lyssa1818
My hair dresser advised me that any 10% developer should work with the demi color. Don’t know what will happen if you go stronger.

Why doesn't this listing state that the product needs the activating lotion? and have a link to it below...

Asked by: BuyingOnline
I am not sure. However, most demis, semi permanent and permanent colors do require some level of activator or peroxide. There are not too many that don't require an activator. That is why, if you are not sure, you should ALWAYS as your beauty supplier.

Do you developer with Aragon one and only demi?

Asked by: Kathleen56
The first answer is wrong :/ If you are applying a DEMI they have a special ACTIVATOR for Demi ONLY. The other developers 10vol, 20vol, 30, 40 etc.  Are for PERMANENT color.

I used age beautiful ash dark brown but it turned very black. A lady from sally suggested to use midium bage brown so I used it but only my root got really light brown. Will 5N light natural brown Demi permanent hair color glossing cream fix this problem?

Asked by: Akitalove
Unfortunately, Demis do not have a high percentage of peroxide. Therefore, when working with lighter colors, you are not going to be able to achieve the true color you want because the developer is too low in volume. If you are looking for a more true to color, you will have to use a semi permanent or permanent color and higher volume peroxide in order to get it. Although, they advertise different color shades in the demis, the reason the samples look the way they do is because the synthetic hair that is being used started off white. Therefore, any color that is put on it is going to read that color. I hope this answered any questions regarding demi permanent colors. Most of the time demis are going to come out darker than one may expect.

Would it be safe to use a different brand developer with the One n Only demi dye? Specifically, I'd like to use Ion Vol 10 sensitive scalp developer with the One n Only demi dye (instead of the One n Only demi activating lotion which dries my hair out).

Asked by: Tinalady
I’ve never tried that, but it’s possible the percentage (10%) of activator is what matters.

I did 5N Demi strand test for 30 mins. to roots & length. I'm 30% grey & been using permanent dye 5N (my natural color). Should I leave it on longer to cover grey? Should I just do roots if I plan to use every 5 weeks so lengths don't get too dark?

Asked by: SusieWoo
Sadly, the demi permanent will probably not cover your gray no matter how long you leave it. It might blend, but because there is no peroxide it will not penetrate gray so you will still see it. You will need to apply more often than every 5 weeks if you are just trying to cover root growth - I would paint some color onto the full length of your hair to assure good blending. Paint & leave it for the last 15 minutes.
