Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great long yet temporary hair color It’s easy to mix and apply. It does a great job covering my gray hairs. I’ve always liked how it fades unlike a permanent color which leaves a line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this color! Lasts long and didn’t damage my hair. Used with a 20 vol developer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed I used this to cover blue in my hair, which in turn made it green. understandable. When it was bleached out and my hair was a very light blonde, i used this again because it matches my hair color the best. it is now green again. very upsetting because i’m going to have to pay someone to strip the color out again and damage my hair more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed my orange hair I bleached my dark brown hair, leaving it looking carrot orange. After trying Wella T14 and seeing no difference, I tried the demi-permanent 7A and ended up with a really pretty ashy light brown! Highly recommend if you have orange hair and are looking to go darker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 8A Light Ash Blonde Made my Hair BROWN I bought this to tone my dyed brassy blonde hair that I thought was a level eight, maybe I have misconceptions of what a level 8 is but I'm pretty sure its not this dark. On top of this it dried out my hair, sadly I'll have to use harsh shampoos really often to be able to get this color out.

I have medium brown hair I colored my hair a year ago and the ends are now getting brassy. Would using Medium natural blonde or dark natural blonde all over make my brassiness worse? what base color this is, a blue? Should I just do brown 5n?

Asked by: Jasmine tay
I think you should try the lighter color.   I have medium brown hair and the lighter colors I’ve tried didn’t seem to take well as in barely any color change but never made it look brassy

So I used the ION 7NA and came out chocolate brown.  It's been a few weeks and thought I should try Wella.  What is suggested on my now dyed dark brown hair if I want a lighter brown ash color?

Asked by: Shaz12345
Demi permanent color will only deposit color. If you want to go lighter, you have to use permanent color because it will lift then deposit and decide how many shades lighter you want to go.

Is this the lightest color they have.? My hair is white at roots and very pale golden blonde. Just want to tone the blonde to match the white..

Asked by: Tashatoria
There are 2 shades you could try, one would be the Light Natural Blonde and the other is the Light Ash Blonde. The Natural will give you some very pale golden highlights and the Ash will be more like the grey in your hair. (I think the Natural might be best for you.) I use a 20 Volume developer 2/1 ratio (developer to color). You can also mix the colors and use a little of each, which may give you more of the "highlighted" look and you can easily blend it into your natural blonde hair. I use the Light Natural Blonde with the Medium Natural Blonde for coloring the gray and highlights in my natural medium blonde hair.

I have been highlighting my own hair. I would like to add some lowlights. Question is has anyone combined the color charm Demi perm. 8N & 7A before? I also have the 7N. I just want a good blend of dimensional blonde.Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Asked by: LuLu5309
I have been coloring my own hair for about 15 or 20 years. I started using one color, 10NG, with lighter highlights, 8NG, however, I now have a lot of grey so I've added the 7NG as lowlights. The 10NG is very hard to find now, possibly discontinued, so I sometimes mix 8NG and 7NG for the primary color. I use foil to separate the high-lighted and low-lighted sections and to help keep them from blending into the primary color. I frequently wear my hair up with hair pieces added which also have a lot of different shades in them and they look very natural on my blended shades of blonde.

Hi, I recently cut all my hair off to let my gray hair grow out. I hate it. My hair is 99% gray/white around my face, but salt and pepper in the back. I don't want a permanent color just yet. Will this provide any coverage?

Asked by: bodhiasa
Yes! My hair is 80% gray. My natural color is brown. I use color 6N  I’ve been using the same for years. About every 5 weeks I put color on my roots for 20 min then put the rest on and work it in all of my hair for 5-10 minutes longer.  I hope you love it.

What makes this different from a permanent hair color? I stopped using it, and after 10 weeks (approx 30 washes) I got a very faint lightening of the color along the gray line, but it definitely didn't 'wash out.'

Asked by: Kksckksc
Any haircoloring can build up in your hair depending on your hair and type of colorant. Demi is a gentle deposit only color option to permanent haircolor. If you want a less permanent solution, use a semi-permanent hair color. That "washes" out at an easier rate than a demi would. Happy hair coloring!

When rinsing out the hair color, should I use shampoo and conditioner, or just rinse until water is clear (without shampoo) and then condition hair? Thank you!

Asked by: AndreaJuliet
I've done both. If you choose to use shampoo and conditioner it will not affect the outcome.

I have naturally dark blonde hair and have used ION Demi 6G Dark Golden Blonde for 7 years to cover grays and LOVE IT. It's now discontinued. Can you tell me the closest alternative?? PS, I tried 6W Dark Warm Blonde and it was far too red.

Try 6n with a inch of 6w
