Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product for the price. I purchased the 64 oz. bottles for elephant toothpaste science. Works great! Just know that if getting it shipped it does not have a seal under the cap and most likely the product will leak out. I had several bottles that did. Had I know that no seal under cap I would of picked up product instore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality I’ve used this with Redken and Wella hair color and several others, with bleach and toners. It works as well as any name brand developer. Good quality for the low price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easier to apply than the cream developer. Easier to use when your using an applicator bottle. The cream developers are too thick and I noticed that I used less product to cover my entire hair length, from root to end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very nice gentle developer Love that this works really well in the comb applicator, the cream devleopers are so thick they clog up the comb tips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be better The store itself was clean and organized and the lady manning it was as pleasant as could be. Will certainly return to this location in Palm Springs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good :) I like this developer much more than the cream version of it. It spreads through the hair much more evenly and its easier to comb through. Plus you can't beat the price of it :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loyal Product.. I have used this product time and time again, maybe for about 10-12 years now.. Never had a problem with it.. I know my hair and what I can use.. I usually use the 30 or 40 Vol. just because I have super black thick hair.. u___u This price is definitely one I can live with.. does the job and well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Damaging My hair has never been so dry/frizzy in its entire life after using this! In fact I have to wear my hair pulled back everyday (like the "Snooky poof") to hide the large amount of hair that BROKE off! I used to use box dye to bleach my hair blonde. After many salons said not to use box dye I decided to listen to them. I bought bleach powder and 20 vol developer cream and bleached the roots to a dark yellow color. Then I used the 20 vol developer to add light ash blonde color to it. This completely dried out and I cannot use shampoo anymore or it stands on end, I have to lather it in coconut oil everyday, etc. I doubt it was the bleach that did this because there is bleach in box dye and I have been doing that for about 10 years without this much damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great with all products I used this developer with Wellite lightener as well as with my Color charm toner, and used Regenal after each use and have had amazing results. It has held my color well and I'll continue to use it, if my hair stays as pretty as it is now.

This is the only developer that mentions grey hair. Is this because it is formulated for grey hair or just a fluke? My hair is salt & pepper. I am trying to achieve all white. I usually struggle with the same brand, but the red bottle in 30. Help?

Asked by: CJ Clarisse
The higher the volume the more lift of color.

Could I use this product like any hydrogen peroxide for the elephant toothpaste experiment or would the phosphoric acid hinder results?

Asked by: MakerMan
I had no way to respond to the previous response but I needed to clarify... elephant toothpaste is an experiment similar to baking soda/vinegar experiments. You do not put it in your mouth.

What is the difference between this clear developer and the creme developer? Which is better for bleaching hair?

Asked by: Mandasue
It depends what type of color you are using- creme or liquid. The creme stays on your hair better in my opinion. It's easier to control with a brush. Whenever I lighten my hair, I always use the creme.

Can someone please tell me what’s the texture of Salon Care 20 Volume Clear ? I bought this product around 15 days ago to color my hair, but when I opened it, it looks like water.

Asked by: Many Peláez
From what I remember, it looks like water but definitely smells like hair product.
