Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great!!! Very gentle on my scalp, doesn't feel like it burns at all, which is great for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A fine developer Does the job and does it well with most bleach powders- except, ironically, the bleach powder by the same brand that's recommended for use with it. The resulting mixture is chunky and difficult to mix, then too stiff and thick to spread evenly over the scalp very easily. I recommend this developer be used with a different brand like L'oreal Quick Blue. If you have the bleach powder by this brand and are considering this developer, look for a liquid developer instead.

By mistake I bought developer 40 innstead of 20, can I use the 40?

Asked by: IvonneMaria
Level 40 is used to lighten, ultimately changing a color into a high-lift color (which usually only lift 1-2 levels). Level 10 is to tone and 20 is the best to deposit color. I hope this helps.

Asked by: amanda davis
The higher the number, the harsher it is on your hair and the more it lightens. Use 20 developer.

I have had my hair dyed from light brown to medium blonde using AGEbeautiful 20 or 40 being a hair model. (I honestly cannot remember) I now have a lot of jet black new growth. What volume do I use to retouch?

Asked by: Swill630
This is tough to answer without actually seeing what your hair/regrowth looks like. From what you describe, your regrowth may be too dark for 20 volume. If you used 20 volume, it might now lighten enough, or it could turn out very orange. Probably better to go with a higher volume of peroxide, depending on how light you want to get your regrowth. Hope this helps-

I been using age beautiful light brown .. The color only lasts about 3 weeks.I'm 63. My hair is curly and coarse. What is the best haircolor that will lasts longer.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Asked by: Debbie 06
I always like to use Ion hair color as its seems to stay there longest! Just make sure that you do all your roots first and leave in for about 35-40min prior to the rest of your hair. Amazing results!! Enjoy.

how many oz of developer is used for one bottle of dye?

Asked by: domenic5
It should say how much developer to use on the hair color tube, and different brands may vary slightly. I use 1 part color to 1.5 of developer, but I know others may use 1:1 or up to 1:2

Hi I'm looking to lighten up my hair to a medium blonde color my hair is a golden brown color right now how do I go about getting it to the desired blonde hair color? Which products would u suggest?

Asked by: Stephy2120
Anytime you want to lighten your hair that requires bleach. In order to keep your hair as healthy as possible you can use a lower level bleach, especially since you don't need to lighten that much. Once your hair has been lightened appropriately, use a 10 volume developer and the colour of your choice (try one shade lighter than you actually want) to tone your hair to the desired shade. Good luck!

I think I made a huge mistake!! I used the zotos professional age beautiful 10N and what happens if I mixed 2 ounces of color to 4 ounces of 20 volume developer? It's my hair now for 10 minutes when I figured out I might have messed up!

Asked by: Missy1984KS
I was in sally tonight and she said to use tube 2 oz  And whole bottle 4oz . I said isn't it supposed to be equal parts and she said no so I will be following up tomorrow with the store to make sure it's 2 ounces color and 4 ounce  developer .   How did your hair turn out ?

Hi, I've never used anything other than the drugstore box color, but that stuff dries out my hair. I want to switch to the agebeautiful product, but would like to know the process.  I don't want to lift the color. I'm considering a medium to dark brown.

Asked by: Miamagoo
I have used the agebeuatiful products for 5 years and there is no other product I would ever use. To my surprise as my roots were coming in, they were pure silver! With AB when I touchup my roots, no sign of gray at all! I use the dark brown. It's so easy, 2oz of peroxide, 2 oz of color, start at the base of the hair, let it process, then pull it thru. rinse & shampoo. Much better color and coverage than you'll ever get out of a box!

Asked by: suho1004
I use darker hair color so not sure, but the mixture between color and developer is pretty strong. As soon as you rinse/shampoo the smell is gone though.

What are the difference between volumes ie 20 and 30 crème developers?

Asked by: 4sallybeauty
As well, 20 volume is typically relied on to deposit color (which may mean darkening and certainly to cover grays) but not usually to lighten beyond 1 or 2 steps.

If hair is already colord and needs a retouch and you are using a different brand and color do you do a full color or a retouch

Asked by: Hairdo
Hello, and thank you for your question. You do not need to do a full color just to retouch the roots with using a different brand of hair color if it has been about 6 – 8 weeks since the last color, however if you would like to do so, you can use the color all over the hair. If it has been at least 12 weeks then I would suggest doing a full color.

I'm interested in the agebeautiful color;4n/Dark Brown. My hair is already colored br with a different brand and needs a retouch, which developer do I

use, the 20 or the 4o? Also, do I do a full coverage or a retouch?
Asked by: Hairdo
Hello, and thank you for your question. It depends on a few things --- desired result, the natural level of the hair, how long since the last color, and the porosity of the hair. We would suggest the 20 volume developer if the 4n is a shade at your natural level. The 40 volume should only be used if someone is trying to lift their hair 3 shades lighter than their natural level. You do not need to do a full color just to retouch the roots with using a different brand of hair color if it has been about 6 – 8 weeks since the last color, however if you would like to do so, you can use the color all over the hair. If it has been at least 12 weeks then I would suggest doing a full color.

Can you keep and use the remaining part of the bottle not used?

I only had to use half the bottle. Can it be reused later or should it be thrown away? Thanks
Asked by: CarolinaChick
Yes absolutely. As long as you can see through the solution when you hold up to light, then it is OK. If it turns dark and cloudy it has oxidized and then you cannot use it.
