Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I like using the developer of the same company as the dye. I feel that it makes for a better result since it is formulated by the company to go with their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Sensitive Scalp In comparison with tons of advertised products for sensitive scalp, this rules. It is extremely gentle and works great with the hair color in the same brand. I have been using this product for close to a decade and will never switch to another.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Plastic Container This container is so cheaply made that when dropped from 2 feet to the floor the plastic cracked open spilling out the entire contents. Terrible packaging. Unsure of the actual product,

I have layer upon layer of demi perm. dye (touching up GRAY roots over & over.) Want to go from a med brown to a light brown (to blend gray better.) ' been using 1/3 7N & 2/3 8N demi w/unred mixed in...and it shows up dark & still pulls red. Pls advise.

Asked by: LB000000
I think you have the right developer volume, maybe try a 8A (ash) and mixing 1/2 8N. Leave out the 7 all together. If that is still to dark, then the next time go to a 30 level developer and see if that works. Try it all over the first time of use so it is even color distribution.

What volume is best for dyed dark brown hair on top of white gray?

Asked by: greenmut
You need the 20 for hair that has grayed and leave on for the maximum time on the instructions included with your color.

How do I know which volume developer I should use

Asked by: diane nor
About half and half with the amount of colorant according to my granddaughter beautician. My hair is so baby fine, I get 4-5 colorings per bottle so I just estimate.

I bought Zotos age beautiful hair dye in error. I only have ION developer. Can I use the 2 together.

Asked by: Joycekop
I have mixed and match different brand dyes and developers without any problems. Hair stylists have told me it does not make a difference as developer is developer. It is the same thing.

By mistake I bought developer 40 innstead of 20, can I use the 40?

Asked by: IvonneMaria
Level 40 is used to lighten, ultimately changing a color into a high-lift color (which usually only lift 1-2 levels). Level 10 is to tone and 20 is the best to deposit color. I hope this helps.

can 30 to dye my hair black

Asked by: amanda davis
The higher the number, the harsher it is on your hair and the more it lightens. Use 20 developer.
