Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Developer for Your Hair I dyed my hair permanently for the first with this developer and I was so hapyy I chose this one. My hair didnt feel damaged or super dry after I dyed it. I was nervous to dye my hair at first but this made it a stress free experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped lift with minimal damage Mixed this with the wella hair bleach. Used it twice over a span of a few weeks and my hair doesnt feel as bad as i expected. I only bleached my ends but they only feel a little bit dryier than before bleaching. The color lifted fairly well but i may go with the 40 volume next time since my hair is very dark brown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Developer! So I just used this for the first time today. My hair was a dark blonde/light brown ashy salon-dyed color with about 2" root growth (my natural color is a dishwater blonde)...so about a level 6. I've bleached strands of my hair in the past and used Salon Care and L'Oreal and it always left my hair feeling stretchy/rubbery or dry. This Argan Oil developer does none of that! I'm super surprised at how soft my hair feels right now - seriously surprised. I used it with Salon Care Prism Lights Violet and left it on about 35 minutes, then shampooed twice. It lightened it to about a level 9. My hair has natural red undertones, so it did leave it pretty yellowy/some light orange on the previously dyed portion, but I'm going to tone it with some violet shampoo then do the Arctic Fox dye. I feel 100% confident in recommending this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gentle, nice scent This is an excellent developer, especially if you have compromised hair. It's gentle on hair, doesn't smell bad, and it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product! This is a VERY good product - I highly recommend this to anyone looking to bleach their hair. Also, this developer is inexpensive for such effectiveness. The only downside is that the bottle is 6 ounces and didn't last. Hopefully, they'll be a 16 ounce bottle soon.

Okay, so a few days ago I tried to color my brown hair black but I forgot the developer, I grabbed the 30 developer to get my hair black at least, plus the blonde is gonna be a mix of purple and lilac of the same brand...will I run into problems with 30

Asked by: Ren15991
Thank you to everyone for answers so I know next time. I unfortunately didn't see any of these answers beforehand, but I got it done and it looks AWESOME! The lilac I had used got a bit of black into it for some of the lilac to look a light greyish in a certain light. The black came out absolutely perfect.

So my hair is black and I want it to be red so I’m gonna use the L’Oréal hi color magenta and red mixed so would this developer work? And is one bottom enough for my whole head or should I get two

Asked by: Zaria Marquez
If I were you I would use the same developer as the color line you pick. 30 vol will lighten your hair 3 levels so if your hair is truly black it would take it to a med golden red brown. Adding a red would be fine but magenta would add more purple hues.

How do I know which developer to use, 20 30?

Asked by: candace21
I always choose 30 on med to light hair. And 20 on dark hair. I only use 40 when stripping.

Does this have methylparaben in it or other potentially dangerous chemicals? Just wondering because I was gonna go silver-white.

Asked by: Thunder Sparks
This devoloper will only lift your color 3 levels. Ive used it and its really gentle on your hair wonderful moisture retention. You will need a stronger product if your hair is not already white.

I’m not sure what developer to use. My hair is a light / med brown... and I’ve been using 5n one and only ... do I use a 10, 20 or 30?

Asked by: Morsechick
If you’re trying to cover greys use at least 30.

I want to dye my hair purple. I used Argan One N Only Intense hair color and didn’t use anything but the color. Could I use the 30 developer and then use the color? There is a little tint to my dark hair with a little gray around the face.

Asked by: Snayazzie1
I would use 30 developer with powder bleach on hair that you want to color purple first. I hilight my hair blond and it works great! I've heard you have to remove color pigment in your hair first before adding a vibrant color like purple. Hope this helps. Use One n Only Argan oil on ends and throughout hair to condition!!!

could i use this developer with loreal hi color?

I usually just use the salon care in volume 30 but I really need something less damaging but with enough volume to pull my natrual hair color, please help?
Asked by: redd
I see no reason why you could not!  Test it first.  For 10 or 15 minutes.
