Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smells good Used with bleach to highlight through cap. This smells really nice. I need to use up my other bleach powder before I can comment on gentleness fairly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome stuff! (Mixed it with bleach) I wanted really light blonde hair, my natural hair is dark brown. My roots were about 3-4 inches grown in, the rest of my hair was dyed multiple times, the last time I used a Hi-Lift light brown, it was more warm toned. I used this (40v) developer mixed with powder hair lightener (bleach) with the 2:2 ratio. Bleached my hair twice in one day, no damage! Still feels healthy. My ends are about a level darker but much brassier cuz of how they were dyed in the past. I will definitely use this developer in the future. (Ion Sensitive Developer is great too btw, but this is a bit better)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very gentle on hair Used with Quick Blue bleach powder. Very gentle on my hair. I did 2 bleach processes on my hair in a row and this did not fry may hair!! Would love some larger size bottles, though.

This is a developer like any other. You can use bleach, color, whatever you'd normally use developer for.

I have bleach my hair 30 volume saloncare clear then wellat18 colorcharm toner and the back middle of my hair still have brassy tones and I want it platinum white almost sliver. Since I get the brassy strands out can I use semicolor over it or bleach more

Asked by: Brandyboo
Try just adding "UNRED" to your toner. It eliminates unwanted red tones. I would not bleach MORE. When all of this is done, you do want healthy looking hair. This is the product that I use. I add this product each and every time that I color. You can find it at Sally's online. It is sold in single-use packets and very convenient; no measuring.

If I bleach my hair with volume 30 and wellat18 toner and it still has brassy strands in the back. Can I lift it again the next day without my hair falling out? And tone again?

Asked by: Brandyboo
If you want to tone down brassy hair, use a shampoo, and or, a conditioner, specifically designed to counteract this problem. Do not reapply color to your hair for at least 2 weeks and preferably, apply it only to the new growth. Hair has only 2 bonds, and each time a chemical service is done, a bond breaks down. If you want healthy hair, don't abuse it.

My hair is a little too light to look exactly like I want (after coloring.) Would like to add some low lights for a more natural look. Can I just take a slightly darker color, pull some strands through a highlighting cap and color only those strands?

Asked by: gigilong
Yes, you can exactly take slightly darker color, and pull out thick locks and color them...

What is yhe difference in the volume numbers on this product? Thank you

Asked by: Roxanne20067
The difference from one level to another is to know how to make the sum of the desired color, but the high volume is used in case of lightening.

Can this be used with Quick Blue Powder Lightener or any packet bleach?

Asked by: Brookie171
Yes! It will work with any blue bleach powder. I personally tried it with L'Oréal Quick blue high performance blue powder and achieved dramatic amazing results. The added Aragon oil in this product also helps to nourish the hair & leave it extremely soft, while most other cream developers I've found don't.

what is the difference between 40 Volume Cream Developer and the 20 Volume Cream Developer?

Asked by: cindylouwhoo
Hi, the 40 volume cream developer lifts the color more on your hair (making it lighter); the 20 volume cream developer is standard (putting the exact color of your choosing); and the 30 volume cream developer (lifts a little of the color)
