Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good developer I like this developer. It lifts colors fast . I had to re- buy this because someone threw my developer down the garbage. If they didn't do that i would've still have this. Maybe i should start hiding my developers. I was very disappointed when they did that. i could've saved my money instead of running to the store to get a new one.My old one was half empty. This developer can damage your hair if you bleached your hair too much.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought this by mistake, and since I had used it before I thought it would work with the bleach I was using. I was sadly mistaken. It barely lightened my level 8 hair to a level 9.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This product was part of my first time, blending my own hair color at home, instead of buying a kit from the store. I've been very pleased with my results over the past 6 months. It's a consistent performer, giving me even color from roots to ends, and it's gentle on my baby-fine hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective but drying I have been using this together with L'Oreal High Lift hair color on my highlighted sections, to touch up new growth every month or so . I'm naturally level 2 and together they lighten my hair 3 shades and deposit color in one step, which is great. Process time is about five minutes. This creme has no odor and doesn't leave a smell in your hair. My only complaint is that even with just 5 minutes of processing my hair ends up like straw, very dry and brittle. It requires a lot of deep conditioning and heat protection to keep it looking healthy. However I still feel this one step process is less destructive than a double-process to lighten my hair, so I'll keep using. TIP: Be sure to apply neutral protein filler to your hair (follow directions) before touching up your roots to avoid that telltale "water line". I've used the neutral protein filler before every application and you cannot see ANY lines in 6" of hair--the color is uniform and even from root to tip!

Why does this product says to not used on relaxed hair? Will the developer damage the hair?

Asked by: ariloves
Yes. I would recommend getting your hair colored professionally since your relaxing it. Schools have great prices and do a good job. Hope this helps

I mixed the loreal 30 volume developer with the loreal hicolor in red violet. My hair stayed black with a red tint. Why does this happen? I did 2 parts developer with 1 part hicolor. What mistake did I make?

Asked by: Amanda1447
I think you need to bleach your hair first then dye it red

For going bright copper, should I use 20 or 30 developer? I've been dying my hair orange for last 6-7 years, my natural hair is ashy brown.

Asked by: minu2505
The difference between 20 & 30 volume developer is only the amount of lift. 30 volume lifts the color more (gives you a lighter color) than 20 volume.

Does developer expire??

Asked by: Jackieop
As long as it stays sealed you should be okay. Otherwise I wouldn’t let it set for ages.

Is this the best developer that I should use with Hi color for black hair?

Asked by: Nora77777
I use this developer with my dark brown natural coily hair. This develope is perfect with the Hi Color flame color I use. Hi Color does get warm when mixed with Oreor so don't be concerned. Hi color will also be warm close to the scalp so the color may seem brighter. Just work it through your hair real good and cover with plastic cap for 30 mins and you should be good.
