Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing from brown to blonde-no orange hair I always use this in my bleach as I go from dark brown to bleach blonde, it takes my dark hair to big bird yellow which means any color Or toner will work after that, I never again have orange hair. I haven’t tried it in anything else, but if you struggle even with a seven lift bleach and a 40 developer and still have orange hair, then this will definitely work for you.

My natural hair is blonde, & been dyed black a lot. I had tons of trouble getting it back blonde, so gave up & dyed it black again. I want to go to an ashy blonde. Should I use a color remover, then bleach & this? Or how should I go about it?

Can I use it with toner?

Asked by: Nicolevon84
Toner will not work, unless you get hour hair past the red, orange, gold or yellow stage. So you should not use toner if you have any of those in your hair, because it won't work and will waste your money. You could try this in a darker hair color to get rid of some of those tones, but it is more for color than for toner. A darker color with an ash base will often do the trick on its own.

How do you use it? Do you mix it in a shampoo?  Or conditioner?  Or in the bleaching mix?

You mix it in together with toner and developer.

Hi I got my hair colored with low lights/ highlights now I have a greenish/grey tint on bottom  What should I use? Thanks

Asked by: Micheled68
I had the same problem when i had my hair bleached to dye grey. I wanted to go back to my normal blonde and i was told to use colorful protein filler #10 red Primer corrector refresher. It gave it a nice warm natural blonde. Use it once a week when washing your hair and leave it in for about 5 minutes. It washes out but you can use this every now and then with your shampoo, it works perfect. the link for sallys is below. Make sure you use the red color. Hope this helps! https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/color-additives-and-fillers/protein-color-filler/CLRFUL2.html

Does this really work? I have an organgeish tint to my blonde hair and I need it gone.

Asked by: Meg1997B
It does. I normally put it in with the developer before applying to the hair. It takes the brassiness out.

Heavy blonde highlights want to dye my hair 6n natural dark blonde should I use this also??

Asked by: Chellechell
I use a much lighter color but if you use the natural dark blonde and your hair comes out with a lot of "gold" then I would add the corrector to the color. It helps get rid of the gold which looks brassy. Just make sure you follow the instruction.

I am 70 and no color in my hair which is white except a blonde section which is brassy Tried purple shampoo and it tones it down but my beauty operator has no idea why. I like my white hair except this blond brassy piece

Red Gold Corrector Plus works for my hair because I have dark brown hair that I color blonde. The corrector takes a lot of the brassy away, leaving my hair more golden. It definitely helps get rid of the red.

Can u mix with bleach mixture or use after in shampoo instead of in the bleach

Asked by: Stephbaker123
NO!! This is to use AFTER you bleach. The point is to tone out unwanted colours after you bleach your hair. You should google a "hair colour wheel" toners are used to cancel out unwanted colours. It says it's a red corrector..I'm wondering if that means it's to cancel out green tones..like I said download a hair color wheel it will help. You use it as directed on it's own.

I doubt it. The directions say to add it to your hair color and developer. It cancels out the brassiness in blonde hair.

How many drops of red golden into a 5.33 Florida oz of hair color

Asked by: Janey724
I use this mixed in with my toner and I use the whole packet. It's not strong stuff, just an extra boost to help get rid of 5% more of the brassy tones than not using it, so I'd say just add the whole packet to the dye

I added the correction plus before mixing up my color and now my color is pink ?

Asked by: Mama Jan
When Clairol switched to their Soy Formula I also experienced the pink color.. When the 'old' formula processed it would be a blue-purple color. The soy formula turns reddish pink during processing..even when using the red-gold corrector... However, once you rinse it off you should have your correct haircolor...

It can be mixed with any color formula where you want to neutralize red/yellow tones. It would just enhance the toner's effect. Good luck!

I bleached my hairnow at lightness level 6 (orange-gold). I'm going to bleach it again, hoping for medium/light blonde, but I know my hair will turn orange or yellow. Will this product help eliminate red tones when i mix it with my bleach+developer?

Asked by: sooooooo
No matter what hair color I used (medium brown) my hair always turned red.  This product does work to eliminate any red.  I use 2 packets.  Just be prepared that when you add it to your color it will change to a rusty color.  Wish someone told me this before I used it the first time.  It will not affect your color so don't be afraid to use it.

would this work on a light red hair the was dyed with red kool aid? My daughter has been trying to get it out for 6-8 months now, clarifying shampoos, baking soda and water, every other idea out there online, need help

Asked by: fed up mom
I would suggest a bleach cap.. Consisting of powder bleach (one half scoop) and the same amount of 20 vol developer, mix this in WITH your shampoo and leave on hair for about 3 minutes. It should not change the color of your hair. I have used it for years to rid hair of the green from  chlorine , and even for ladies who still do roller sets and only get their hair  shampooed once a week, as they have a lot of hairspray buildup.

can this be added into conditioner to use every other day to refresh blonde hair

Asked by: annon
You can also use shimmering lights on towel dried hair, make sure to saturate evenly, I'd suggest using a wife tooth comb, then out a plastic. Cap on and leave for about 20 minutes. Depending on what you are wanting to achieve... then simply rinse out. But a better solution might be a colored mouse.

Try out the Red Gold Corrector Plus next time you dye your hair, just simply pour in one package of the substance into your coloring bottle and apply the dye as you would regularly do. Personally, it did help me achieve a cooler blonde tone and I believe it does its job pretty well.
