Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me It just didn't really work but it made my hair soft

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goodbye yellow I was using a Paul Mitchell purple toner shampoo and it worked somewhat. My hair recently started fading to a yellowish hue. I was recommended this toner at sallys. I tried it after i shampooed and it didnt seem to work any better than other. Then, i talked my hair stylist and she recommended i use on completely dry hair for about ten minutes and then shampoo and condition after. That did the trick!! I used a hair coloring applicator to brush throughout the crown of my hair. It worked amazing. Everytime it goes back to a white platinum blonde. My natural hair color is a 2. Almost BLACK. Love this product and highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brass color correcting elixir. Leaves hair feeling silky and soft when its dry, unlike Shimmer Lights. Ths is a product for someone who has a lot of orange or brass, because this specific product is closer to a dark blue not purple.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work well Hasn’t made a difference to the brassy appearance of my hair at all. Does not lather at all so you have to use a ton of it to coat your hair (I have long hair).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the absolute best purple shampoos there is! This is my 2nd favorite or right beside the new purple shampoo ive just discovered! This stuff is still AWESOME! VERYY PIGMENTED & doesn't leave your hair feeling more dry or brittle afterwards! This ALSO you can tell and feel a difference in after only just ONE wash!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Toner and Conditioner I've been using this product for about 4 months now and it is AMAZING! Not only does it take away the brashness of my hair, but it leaves it so soft and smooth! Would highly recommend to anyone with bleached hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blond Brilliance is the BEST This brand is the holy grail of toning shampoo/conditioners for blondes! It is very pigmented. I only left on my hair for a minute or two, so it didn't 100% mask the yellow, but that's my fault. It smells like mangoes and made my very bleached hair SO SOFT. However, I used the ash shampoo and only left it on my hair for maybe a minute and my hair was very lavender, but for the first time since I started highlighting and bleaching my hair, my hair felt better before conditioner. I shampooed again and conditioned, by the end of the day, it was the perfect ash color. I even referred the product line to another woman trying to achieve the "silver" look after she said mine was "amazing". In love with Blond Brilliance!

I'm going platinum around my face and electric purple with the rest of my hair. Will this be too much lifting for my purple? And if so, what would you recommend?

Asked by: Rev Reba
Not really sure. But I do know that it will keep your platinum, platinum. Don't think it would effect the purple since it is a brass corrector. But again not sure.

Is this less drying than toning conditioners, such as Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights Conditioner, One 'n Only Shiny Silver Ultra Conditioner, Reconstructive Treatment or Color Depositing Conditioner? Or Biotera Sheer Illuminator Shiny Platinum Tinte

Asked by: Thisisnotfromtheotherside
I cant really say. I always use a second deep conditioner because my hair is so dry.

I used blonde brilliance highlight kit. Although there is some blonde highlights my hair turned very brassy/orange. What is a good recommendation to correct the problem?

Asked by: lynnorear65
Go get toner put on to pull the brass out and then use this shampoo to keep it blonde.

My hair has been blond for years. Now im letting it go natural which is white white. The ends still have some light blonding. Very light but next to my natural color looks dirty. Will the Brass Color Correcting help this any?

Asked by: Mackster74
Be careful to cover ONLY the yellow, brassy strands and leave the white alone. I lighten my hair/roots every ten weeks to a dark golden/strawberry blonde. When I tried this, it toned the brassiness very well but my highlights(pale ash blonde) became a violet color like the youngsters wear as fashion colors. This is more potent than any other toner I've tried. May want to leave it on for just a few minutes to see how it affects your color.

Does this take out yellow color on my roots

Asked by: Meyer123
Yes, but temporarily. I use this every two weeks to tone the yellow.

Does the hair have to be COMPLETELY dry, or just a little damp since it’s being towel dried?

Asked by: haleysue917
Doesn't need to be dry. I shampoo, dab dry with a towel(my hair is porous and takes forever to dry), and apply this to damp, freshly washed hair. Works well.

Once.

What can I use to get orange hair blonde? I have naturally blonde hair but dyed it dark. I used color oops twice and it is a light orange color and won’t lighten anymore. What should I do?

Asked by: HannahND
You will have to bleach your hair. Toner will not lift color, and the orangey color you’re talking about is not lifted enough for a toner to even work. Color oops doesn’t remove ALL of the color, especially if you used a box dye.
