Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined my hair I am a natural ginger and I've colored my hair every color in the book. I always use color oops brand remover and get back to my natural color no problem. Sallys didn't have color oops so I bought this and its bleach not a color remover! There's not enough in the bottle for even shoulder length hair my hair went from dark red (which I can always remove with color oops) to bleach blonde in some spots pink in others and orange in some spots. This is super disappointing bc I literally bought this to do before bleaching my hair now its awful and patchy and probably won't bleach evenly im so disappointed my hair is ruined.

i dyed my hair with arctic fox , it’s a bright purple. will it take the color out and leave me with the blonde i has before ? also, i want to keep my brown roots so will this bleach my roots if it’s touched by any of the products ?

Asked by: paigexstirlen
It will probably take the purple out but mostly likely take it to an orange and not blonde. And yes it will turn your brown an orangish blonde as well if you touch the roots. There is some bleach in the product. I went from a dark brown to a light orange with this product and bleached the rest to a nice blonde. It definitely helped stripped the color out after years of box dye.

If I have previously bleached my hair, then dyed it with permanent ion permanent brights creme hair color radiant orchid (a very dark purple), will this restore my hair to the previously bleached color/tone?

Asked by: molls001
That I do t know.  My experience was this:  I had red permanent color on my hair and used another product to strip that color.  When I applied warm blonde color a week or two later, , it grabbed the darker color within the product quickly to a brownish color.  I used color zap several weeks later and it reduced the color to a very very light blonde/pink.  I have since recolored my hair after giving it another rest for several weeks with 8G ion warm blonde and it is that true color.  Color zap doesn’t leave your hair coarse  it it was also a 6-8 week process with everything and because of Covid, I was home and if I went out, I could wear wigs if I wanted.  I also cut my hair not because I had to but because I wanted. Your talking bleached out hair with intense color to coarse hair strands, so you may have extreme breakage and I wouldn’t even think about doing anything like that myself and should see a professional.  Because color zap and others have lighteners in it is where my concern would be in your handling this yourself.

I have naturally blonde/grey hair, was told to use an Aveda conditioner, that turned my hair BLUE. I think it is just a rinse, but it has been 6 weeks with no sign of fading. Will this work? If no...any suggestions?

Asked by: Morticia7702
This product did not work for my hair. The color didn’t grab on.

I tried bleaching my black/brown hair and it came out orange. I bleached another time and toned it and it just came out a lighter orange. The last time I dyed my hair dark was a year+ before this. Will this help lift the orange out or is it too late?

Asked by: bleachin
Mine has gone orange... I used one box - left on 60 mins (my hair was permanently died brown for years and the greys are coming in so fast I thought I'd go lighter - light brown or dark blonde and now it's currently orange so it will turn orange but maybe because you're already orange it will lift out? **I am not a hair dresser

I colored my highlighted blonde hair, with Clairol light blonde permanent hair color. DISASTER! My hair turned out a brassy gold with silver highlights. How can I rid myself of this golden crown? Natural hair color is med blonde, fine, with some gray.

Asked by: GOLDEN CROWN
hello! i would recomend some kind of toner on your hair, ones with purples should get rid of the brassyness. i wouldn't recommend color zap for that, it is basically just hair bleach and won't do much for your hair.

My hair is now white. I dyed it brown w/Nutrisse. Want to remove the dye and return to White. Is there a product that will remove the dye as my roots (white) are all over visible. Will Colorzap work for me?

Asked by: CherieSally1
I believe it will. I went to salon and the stylist got me super blonde then overtoned my hair so it was brown. I used color zap but did not use the activator and the brown tone came out. The directions are specific on when you should or shouldn’t use the activator portion. So pay attention to the directions and times. Hope this helps.

This remover is bleach based, so it does have bleach in it. Color oops isn't bleach based tho
