Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great when used right away I dye my hair copper red (level 7) and I used this color remover to immediately fix a disaster of trying a new formula that ended up being a bright, unnatural red color that darkened my hair to a 6. I think my success was due to me using it right after I blow dried my hair to see the results. After using, it pulled it back to a copper 7 without any damage. I’d really recommend this for hair colors that turn out way too bright or only a level or two darker than desired, and it’d work best if it’s used right away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me I bought this yesterday, didn't do anything, called the store they replaced it with same product, came home used it again. And still didn't do anything, but it burnt my scalp. The ladies at the store were nice, but this didn't work on my hair.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a complete waste I used this with 20 developer instead of water to try to fade Ion Sapphire, Jade, and Shamrock from my naturally blonde hair. Applied heat and waited 45 minutes. The color has faded to a lighter teal color but I've got a long way to go before I would say the color was "removed". I know that blues can be very hard to remove so, with that being said, the results were better than I expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Auburn hair. Did not work Tried to get a bit of the darker shades out before processing to a lighter color. I tried this for the first time. Waste of money. 3 Level pull my behind. I'll stick with the color oops. Its has results to back it up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blue, did not remove it Used this with 20 developer for 45 minutes instead of water. The associate recommended a 30 volume but I used 20 instead. It did remove some blue but barely any at all. The hair was bleached blonde, then used semi-permanent ion brights blue, and it was several months old so the blue was severely faded to light blue/green color. The weird thing was the hair got really hot on it's own so I did not use any additional heat on it. Maybe it was due to the 20developer we used. I might try again with water this time like the package states

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Honestly I was shocked I was previously platinum blonde asked for subtle dimension and recieved some jacked up lowlights from my stylist and a grey green cast to my hair. I washed with dish soap multiple times tried head and shoulders, baking soda. Nothing worked until this. This stripped out all of the ugly grey color and lightened my lowlights to a warm blonde that looks great. Honestly I felt great after I washed this out and saw that my beautiful hair was back. One more round of this and I’m sure all the lowlights would be gone but I am very content with how it looks right now. Highly recommend for new messed up color jobs, lowlights or if your stylist overtoned your hair. Can’t say enough good things. Also no harsh scent and my hair felt very soft afterwards.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The only thing this stripped was my hair oils. My hair was platinum then I dyed it Ion shark blue at the end of October is mid February now and my hair was a faded green blue. I followed all of the directions first it took forever to turn into gel consistency. My hair is the exact same color just DRYER!!!

my son died his hair blond for his hockey team. Now I want to die it back. I went to Sally and they recommended color brilliance permanent but didn't mention a corrector. He is naturally light brown and was died to a very blond, almost orange

Asked by: Marymcmary
If he bleached his hair, color corrector won’t do much good.  Bleach removes color from the hair itself, so there’s nothing to correct.  On the up side, it’s much easier to go dark than light, so hair dye should be fine.  Be careful about what color you choose, based on what colors he has in his hair now.  I’d go back and ask the girls at Sally to help you get the color right, or go to a professional.  Also, a deep conditioning treatment sounds like a good idea.

I used ion High lift cool blonde on my previously high/low lighted hair and it turned bright carrot orange. Tried T-18 toner which did nothing.i then used Color Oops and it's a little lighter. Will this get rid of the orange/yellow it is now?

Asked by: Cathy1975
You need to get a blue toner shampoo I use pravana toning shampoo for brunettes. It removes the orange and red tones you have left in your hair from trying to go lighter. I promise this will work. Same concept like the purple shampoo to get rid of yellow tones.

Hello, I recently purchased this item to remove orange-blonde tones in my hair to go back to blonde and it did Jack all. I wouldn’t waste your money on this.

I dyed my hair with ion permanent  hair color. Will this take off the 'light Burgundy brown' color and reveal the bleach color underneath?

NO.

Used a blue splat hair dye and tried to remove it with splat remover it's now teal and feels like straw. What can I use to get this out without damaging my hair anymore than it is?

Asked by: BbgrlBbgrl76
I’ve been told by many professionals, blue is the hardest to get out and Splat will never come out of your hair unless you cut it.

Henna is one of the most difficult products to remove. I highly suggest a color correction from a professional.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN I USE THIS PRODUCT TO GO FROM COLOR TREATED MAHOGNY BACK TO MY NATURAL SILVER GRAY. I'VE BEEN COLORING ABOUT A YEAR

Asked by: KATHYELL
It's going to take alot of treatments. I used these to wash out pink hair. Every time it only lifted a little. But it can leave the hair a little dry, so deep conditioning is a good idea.
