Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works good It removes 97% of the vivid fun Colors, even tho I chose permanent COLORS! Of course pink & green molecules refuse to shrink, but I am going pastel rainbow anyways! I was just pastel!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it For the amount you get, even for short hair, this price is insane. I would have needed 4-5 packets for shoulder hair for even saturation. This is best for vegetable based 'fantasy' hair colors, not all semis, which is why I think some find it not to work very well. I will not buy again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Yes and No, I Guess I'm happy and not so happy. Happy because this lifted what I needed lifted, just a light lift and it worked great for that. What I didn't like was that it did definitely dry my hair out. I don't like that feel and I was a tangled mess.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work Bought this to remove the color from my hair so I could go back to blonde and try a different color. The people in the store were friendly and seemed very knowledgeable, and gave me detailed instructions. Two packets of this didn’t work-it removed the darker bits of color, but stripped it down to a color that doesn’t wash out. It left my hair dry and limp and coarse. Will definitely not be using this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best color remover I've ever used I worked at Sally's and tried tons of color removers but this one was by far the best that I tried and didn't smell bad at all. I mixed it with 25vol developer and it made my hair HOT pink to blonde in 15 minutes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from All it did was dry off my hair This product did nothing to my hair except just dry it off. My hair was died a brownish color everywhere except the roots and after leaving the peoduct on for 45 minutes and shampooing it twice, it did no change to the color. My hair felt completely dry and dead a little too. It doesn’t smell bad and it doesn’t burn, but it doesn’t work on taking off the dye, just drying the hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money. Bought it Thursday today is Saturday. I was encouraged by associate to buy this instead of hair bleach to remove some blue from my daughter's hair. I literally let this sit in her hair for more than an hr and still nothing. Very upsetting knowing that i could have bought the bleach for a few minutes and problem fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be realistic! This is way less damaging than a bleach bath. I keep my hair at a level 10 and change fashion colors as they fade. This product is great at lifting the fashion color enough to change colors, but keep the color wheel in mind. I would never try to take my hair from purple to green. Theres a few blue steps in the middle, if you understand... reds, pinks and oranges with always lift our better than greens and blues due to the size of the color molecules. This is not intended to lift out box dye, only direct dye.

I just used color oops because I’ve used it in the past. But this time my hair turned green and blue. Can I use this product after using color oops? I don’t want swamp green hair after my hair was just purple.

Asked by: Torita07

I dyed my hair Ion Mint 2 months ago,and have lightened my hair with dish soap/head and shoulders as far as it would go. Used Ion Color Lightener and 30vol to pull any remaining color out. My ends are stained with a mint still. Will this work?

Asked by: RoxMasos
It should. I wouldn’t keep using 30vl, at least not on your ends. Maybe try the mixture with water or even 10 vl

Does this product contain bleach? I used it to get blue out of my hair. After one treatment it look so much better but there is still tiny bits of blue underneath & some of it turned a really Pale orange/pink. I’m not sure if I shoud do another treatment?

Asked by: Kaitykait
If you add a blue bleach to cool toned hair it’ll make it even more cool, aka possibly green. Just do a toner, or a hair colour that’s neutral

Does your hair have to be washed lol

Asked by: AlexandraSMD210
Not necessarily. I never put lightener on freshly cleaned hair. You might want to wash your hair if you use a lot of product in your hair though!

How long do I have to wait before lifting my hair again with this product? My hair didn’t feel damaged after I lifted, but I used the ion repair solutions after anyway so my hair is pretty soft and silky.

Asked by: lenanguyen
You can do it twice back to back then I'd wait a few days - a week before lifting your hair again. This product isn't very damaging but I still wouldn't recommend overdoing it in a short period of time.
