Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I have used I’ve been using this barrier cream for a few years now and still is the best I have ever tried. And I’ve like to tell the company that this new packaging is MUCH better than the old packaging!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value A little goes a long way. I'm a mess when I dye my hair so I put this all over my face, neck, and arms. I wash it off with exfoliating face wash just to get any excess dye. Pros: works, only need a little, doesn't have a smell Cons: has a weird texture

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good It blocks color from the skin really good. I like how it washes off easily with water after you wash the dye out.But it feels a bit sticky on your skin when you appply it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Product Really Works!! I purchased this product on the off chance that it would work as a replacement for a similar product that had been discontinued. It exceeded my expectations!!! This product even prevents staining when used with black and dark brown hair colors.

Can this be utilized as a barrier for lighter hair sections when coloring all over? Or is there a different product for this? I have blonde hair and want to keep some hair lighter while coloring the rest.

Sorry, I only used this to protect my forehead while coloring darker hair. It worked great for that, and on skin. I couldn't say how it would work on lighter hair.

I’m a male with a 2mm stubble beard. Does a barrier exist that protects the skin under the hairs, while allowing beard to absorb dye? Or, is there anything to remove barrier from hair b4 dyeing, while allowing the skin to stay coated?  Thank you!

After reviewing the question asked; I would like to offer my professional advice I regards to your color staining situation. It is with my experience as a Colorist; that when choosing to cover an area of Hair that’s  more prone to color staining, my suggestion would be to 1st DEFINITELY UTILIZE the advice “TJ4PLAY11” answered by APPLYING Color to BEARD area with a “SEMI- PERMANENT”= Color that needs NO  DEVELOPER in the color, simply apply color direct from package to Hair...*NOTE this color type will FADE much FASTER THEN ALL OTHER COLORS, but it’s great to cover for a FEW WASHES. If a more grey coverage or grey blending color is what your looking for then this type of color does NOT FADE as FAST, and REQUIRES DEVELOPER— “DEMI-PERMANENT” Color. This specific color is used to cover and help blend grey hairs as well as lightly cover the Hair. Use a “DEMI-PERM.” color with a 10vol. Or 20 vol. developer, depending on desired coverage.  ALSO; in addition to the above information, I would suggest USING A “FINE TOOTHED” COMB or an “EYEBROW” brush....like a brush used to comb smaller areas of Hair AS your COLOR APPLICATOR (reduces touching the skin) I have personally utilized All of these techniques & continue to be successful in applying color to BEARDS, ALL FACIAL HAIR & EYEBROWS with ZERO staining.   Hope this helps; Cheers!! P.S. Try to SELECT a COLOR that is complementary to YOUR SKIN TONE, sometimes, if color is too DARK it will be DISPROPORTIONATE // UNFLATTERING

Will it affect the dye from penetrating the hair where applied, just in case some of this gets on the hair ?

Asked by: BeardGuy
It sure will, same as with vaseline. It costs whatever it's on and resists the dye.
