Asked by: Mandy 2015

why does it say deliver one time only then it tells me i have to order 10 more dollars for free shipping

Asked by: dina aleman
The two check boxes allow to you select between a one time delivery (purchasing just this once) or to auto- ship (which would be scheduled reoccurring purchases). The add $10.01 to you cart would qualify you for free shipping. Free shipping is for qualifying orders of $25.00 or more.

Does it work well on dyed red hair? I am trying to go back to blond.

Asked by: Adc31605
Yes. Indeed it does. I have red hair also. I used it and the results were great. I wanted extreme highlights and it worked well. However, you can also achieve an all over change as well with no problems. Just keep a check because you don't want to burn your hair. Use good conditioners afterwords and you're good to go.

CAN I use it to bleach my skin

Asked by: sister baby
No I do not believe you can use it to bleach your skin. I'm not an advocate of skin bleaching because the process tells people of color to transform into white beauty. You should love your skin tone, try moisturizing your skin with Shea butter and coconut oil to give it that glow. I won't give you the name of any skin bleaching products, you will have to do that research on your own.

Can the Clairol Professional BW2 powder lightener be mixed together with ColorCharm T10 toner? I guess I need to know if that's considered developer?

Asked by: AnnaLadd
Do not mix the bleach and toner!!!! You will use the bleach and get a 20 volume developer. Once this is complete, rinse and shampoo it out. Then use toner with developer and wait again. Shampoo and condition out.

I am bleaching my whole head what time should I leave it in but I don't want my roots to be white

Asked by: Kelly Anne
I'm not sure if you still need help with this, but here's an answer for you. The best way to avoid problems with your roots is to bleach them last. Because your roots are so close to your scalp, that part of your hair is warmer and will lighten much faster than the rest of your hair. I've made this mistake MANY times myself, but now I know how to properly lighten my hair. NEVER start at the roots. You will end up with brassy yellow hair, and white blonde roots. I personally wouldn't recommend adding it to your roots until you've covered the rest of your hair and waited 10-15 minutes. I've had luck with this method. You probably shouldn't leave the lightener on your hair for more than a total of 30 minutes or so, otherwise you risk your hair getting more damaged from the lightener.

Would this work on dark brown hair? I've been trying L'Oreal hair dyes for months and it only lifted my hair to a tiny bit of blonde but I have come to the sad conclusion that I need to bleach my hair to get blonde but I'm looking for a good, safe bleach

Asked by: Jamie1788
I use this dye on my dark roots every 6 weeks and it works great. Ive tried a couple other bleaches before and like this one the best. You should be fine as long as you pair it with a good developer, toner, and conditioning treatment.

How many levels will BW 2 by Clairol lift?

Asked by: Hails8738
It took me from dark brown to a very light brassy yellow. But I would not recommend this product it killed my hair. Followed the instruction to a tee and even took it out soon than what was instructed but had to cut off over 4 inch that it ruined.

I bought Bw2 along with 8 oz. of ion sensitive scalp 30 vol. developer, how much developer do I mix with the 1 oz. of BW2 powder lightener?

Asked by: southpaw56
you always use the same amount of developer as the lightener. So if you use 1oz of lightener you will use 1oz of developer.

my hair is black/darkbrown if l i bleach my hair with this and wait until it turns to a lighter brown and wash it out, can i just use a regular hair dye from the drugstore and dye over it to get the burgundy color i want? am i gonna need a toner ?

Asked by: mshairdye
Yes, but that is not necessarily the best way to go about it, unless you already have artificial color in your hair. If you were my client, this is what I would do: mix 1.5 oz level 5 neutral or natural, .5 oz. level 5 violet or red-violet, 2 oz 30 vol. developer and apply to roots (first 1/2 inch of hair), then mix 1 oz level 5  violet or red-violet, 1.5 oz. level 5 neutral or natural, 2.5 oz. 40 vol, then apply to rest of hair.  This will produce a rich violet red that fades to a pretty color rather than a translucent, flat red that screams home color job.  If you must bleach first, mix with 20 vol and apply 1/2 inch from scalp to ends (start at nape, and work up the head so bleach is less likely to get on previous section's no go zone). Lift to red/orange or orange stage. Do not apply bleach to scalp. This step may take an hour or so. Shampoo twice, condition, dry. Then apply same formula as above to roots (taking care to not get it on lightened hair) then use the same formula for mid-shaft and ends EXCEPT using level 6 instead of 5, and 10 volume instead of 40. Comb through to melt root color into lighter color. Process for at least 30 minutes. Phew! Good luck

Coat your hair lightly in coconut oil before bleaching, this will make it seem like 30 vol and keep your hair from extra damage.

can I use BW2 to achieve platinum blonde coloring and what number peroxide to use

Asked by: Anonymous
yes. i have light to medium brown hair(around a level 4-5 on the color chart). i use this and ion's sensitive scalp cream developer 30 Vol. i leave it on for about 35 minutes. i used to use beyond the zone's bleach kit which came with 40 vol and even though you aren't supposed to use 40 on-scalp, the directions in that kit said it was ok. i used it for a long time, a couple years. and the last time i used it it burned my skin. i stopped bleaching at all after that, until about 6 months ago. a employee at sally's suggested ion's sensitive scalp and BW2 and it actually lifts faster than the 40 vol in beyond the zone's kit. it smells better and doesn't irritate my scalp at all. you may or may not need to bleach again. it depends on what level color level you're at now. one application of this could lift 3, maybe 4 levels. to get to 10 (which you MUST reach in order to have platinum hair) you can bank on rebleaching. also get a bottle of 20 vol and a bottle of wella charm T18 toner. "lightest ash blonde"
