Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Strong Bleach This is a very good lightener it’s strong and fast. The only drawback is unless you have extremely thin short hair you will need two to three boxes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gets the job done but... I used a 30% developer with the lightener and left it on my hair for 45mins. It did lighten my hair, but it left a greasy residue on my hair that I could not wash out & it would not lighten my roots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this lightener! Only one I use I have been coloring my hair fun colors for years and this is the only lightener I will use. it doesn’t matter what color I have in my hair or brand I use, every time I use this in between my colors it does an amazing job getting my hair to a great prelightened shade for any color I plan to use. I also use it for the few times I have just felt like being blonde for a while. I have used it multiple time in a weekend and never had any issues with my hair being dry or brittle. When I started I went from my hair being dyed black for years and years to BLONDE with only two 20-30 minute applications in a weekend. I always recommend it to anyone wanting to do any fun colors also.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn’t work well for me I usually use the Ion Bright White creme lightener but they are always out of stock at my local Sally’s. So I tried this instead to touch up my roots. It only lightened my roots to a golden blonde. So I will have to go over it again which sucks. I usually get it in one shot with other lighteners. I won’t repurchase.

I had dark blue hair. I bleached with a powder and it just lighten a bit but now I have the blue, some blond, my dark brown roots and a yellow/orange blond because some of the bleach got onto my virgin roots :( will this product even everything out?

Asked by: Natalialove
Yes, it's a blue creme bleach and when you mix it with 30 developer leave it on no more than 50 minutes, comb it through to the ends cover with a cap while processing then rinse shampoo and then tone your hair color after bleaching.

There are 2 different Age Beautiful creme hair lighteners. One is much lower price than the other. The higher price one has a number 3 on the tube... the other does not....

Asked by: Teddy657
One is larger then the other. I think one is 2 oz and the other is 3 oz.

Will this work to lighten hair that is too dark brown? What else will I need?

Asked by: Skippermarti
It will lighten up to 8 shades. I use it to bleach my hair and the dark brown turns lighter brown and the gray turns blonde. But you also need a color. This lightens hair it does NOT deposit color. So choose a light brown if that is what you're after to deposit color after using the lightener. Lighten - takes about 1 hour depends on the person shampoo and dry. Then apply color and shampoo and dry your hair. Leave color on per the instructions.

Do you need to apply toner after?

Asked by: Court5555
I have never applied a toner, I've been using this for a least 5 years. One of the sales associates recommend this product, I wanted a platinum color and this turned out almost white with a hint of blonde. I love the color!!! My hair is a real dark blond.

How do you use the cream lightener with the developer

Asked by: Ronda Hill
You just follow the directions. I do not have them in front of me but I think it's 1:2. The directions are in the cream lightener box. The cream lightener is bleach. I have been using it for years by the way and it is one of my favorite bleach products. It's a little thicker than other products so it stays put.

I used the AB Creme lightener & 20 volume on my town fine/tons of hair. I did touch up after going almost platinum n used T14 toner. My problem is I have strands of golden. Should I use HLA ash blonde or do toner again or lightener?

Asked by: JarC5129
You can do lightener again, with 10 volume, it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes or so. Don't do the ash, it could turn green, and the toner will just make it darker. Once the gold is lifted out, you can tone again.

Been dyeing med Grey hair red for years, lots of buildup, red too dark. Want to go lighter red but understand developer won't lift dyed hair. Can I use this on dyed and regrowth to get even color for application of lighter red shade & avoid hot roots?

Asked by: Shadokat
I wouldn't recommend doing that.  I have very dark brown hair and I only use it on my roots and new growth and it bleaches mine to white in 45 minutes.   I  wouldn't risk putting it on already colored hair.

How well did it turn your hair blonde from light brown ? Did you have to do it more than once?

Asked by: Joybowman19
I didn't have to apply more after one treatment, however it did make my hair super jelly like and about 3 inches of my har fell out. I was not impressed. My hubby used it on his beard, which is a dark brown and it made it yellow. Is didn't burn on our skin.

Do I apply the crème lightener by its self

Asked by: Teresapacheco
You will need at least a 20 volume developer 1 to 1. I am platinum blond, so I use the Age Beautiful 40 volume developer. 1 part creme lightener to 2 parts 40 volume developer. Processes for me in 30 minutes or less. Check level of lightness every 10 minutes.

black hair

I have naturally strawberry ash kinda dirty blonde hair, but have been dying it a long time. About a year ago I dyed it black with permanent dye. My roots are showing quit a bit and the black is fading to a reddish dark brown blackish color naturally. But if I use the age brilliance cream lightner will it take all my black out since it's already naturally started fading?
Asked by: Amanda
No . It won't take it out. it will lift it to an orangey color. Black hair color  is pretty hard to get rid of .

Should I use this with the age beautiful developer for best results or has anyone found the perfect developer to pair with this? Has anyone tried this creme bleach with olaplex no.1 and 30vol developer? if so how well did it work?

Asked by: MKING1991
Clairol Soy4Plex Pure White Creme Developer is the best to use. It helps remove yellow tones left behind after bleaching. I usually use a 20 vol for my hair, or 30 vol for thicker hair. I do follow with Wella Frosty Ash/12A and 20 vol Pure White Developer. If you are looking for pale silver white hair add 2 capfulls of Wella Cooling Violet-050 to the Frosty Ash mixture.

Used Age Beautiful Light Golden Brown two days ago for covering grays It is too dark! Will this product lighten the color slightly and not strip my new color?

Asked by: AimHi91137
I am certain you already have a solution by now as it has been several months. But for anyone else needing the same question answered: as another said, this will NOT simply lighten a little, it bleaches and any time it is used for lightening only a few shades lighter will result in orange-red color result as all bleach leaves hair this way when only lifting a couple levels from a dark color (1N-5N) because it is not simply lightening the pre-existing shade, it is pulling all pigment out. For permanent or Demi-permanent hair dye that has come on too dark initially, usually a few good washes will reduce the darkness. If it does not after a few washes I recommend purchasing and using a "clarifying shampoo". It pulls out extra pigment and residue that has been left on the surface and that can be contributing to the darker appearance. If that does not work, try using Blond Brilliance heat activated spray lightener (or UV activated, your preference). It works very similar to the old school "sun in" brand lightener that was all the rage in the late 90's early 2000's lol, EXCEPT it works better and leaves your hair very soft. It usually only lightens a good 1-3 shades, but as with all of those products when using over chemically dyed hair it may cause a slight "orange" hint in your hair, similar to bleaching but nowhere as bad as bleaching. I suggest snipping a bit of the darkest and lightest sections and testing before applying to full head. Hope this helps someone!

If your hair already has dye in it, will this product destroy it?

Previously I tried to dye my hair blonde and my hair was slightly lighter, and I heard that bleach will melt your hair if you already have an artificial dye in it and in order to prevent that you must use a product to strip the artificial color. For this product I'm wondering if it'll do the same thing.
Asked by: Emi
You can use this product. I had purple and teal hair, then used this product and it gave me lovely platinum blonde hair. Just follow the directions and use a 30 vol developer.

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, you can lighten and then tone. Depending on your desired result as well as your hair condition and porosity will determine what products your need. We would suggest to go a store and speak with a beauty expert.

Asked by: tamara
I cannot remember the exact name but I do know the color code, as for T18 toner. That should give a good grayish color. I think, but don't quote me on this, the brand is Wella. Check all the toners and pick one that fits. You'll still have to bleach, use a light or gentle developer like ion 20 volume.

Sally Item # SBS-124610 I want to know what Vol. of developer to use.

I have medium dark brown hair that always lifts gold and red. Should I be using a 30 or 40 Vol. developer? Also looking online for the additive you sell in the stores that helps eliminate this problem. Can you recommend?
Asked by: syd
Get blond brilliance. It gets rid of brassing or orange colors. It mixes like a hair dye and works wonders. However, many stores simply can't keep the stuff in Stock due to its popularity.
