Rated 5 out of 5 by from Taking off color of previously colored hair I had previously color mohair with shade 9 permanent color. This turned out to make my hair way too dark a my hair naturally whitens in the sun. I also have about 75% gray. I applied this bleach to the from of my hair to take off some color and ended up with a bright very mild yellow tone blond hair that blends better with my gray (which is very white) growth. I will try to treat my new gray growth with th bleach and we will see what happens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product by Wella Fabulous!I I watched DIY Balayage Highlights at home!! | HAIR PAINTING TUTORIAL by Kait Nichole. I had always highlighted my own hair for many years but so tired of the tinfoil. This was so much easier and unlike the bleach it doesn't get as brassy. Did my granddaughter's hair. She has dark dirty blond so the bottom didn't get as light as she wanted, so we did it again and she loves it. This seems to be gentle on the hair. I really like this Painting Balayage Lightener.

My natural hair is about a 3-4 and my end goal is between 10-12. I was curious if I got this would it be safe to apply two or three times over a few months to be able to achieve my goal color?

Asked by: Tmae4218
No I do not recommend this product to achieve that level. My Natural hair colour is about a 4-5 and it doesn’t lift very much With this product. However, after a few sessions used on my already blonde balayage it has lifted nicely, but subtle. It’s nice to keep my blonde pieces fresh, being careful not to touch my natural brown roots too much as it turns orange and very hard to lift even after a few tries.  Perhaps a level 40 developer could be used with the lightener???? That would be wonderful if possible because this product is awesome to use and very gentle. Super, duper easy to use.

What developer do I use with this? I have light brown hair so I was thinking a 30 but don't know what brand to use.

Asked by: Joanne123
I would use 30 from any brand (cream)-the peroxide that comes with the lightner is not strong enough in my opinion

Can I use this over my Tango 6R to balayage? My hair is long but, do I need this large size?  I use about 1/3 6R tube for re touch, a little more if doing whole head.

Asked by: Kathy1959
I purchased the large size lightening powder and developer, and I felt that I needed to use it about 3 times to really lighten my hair. This will give a very subtle lift, which is good because it's not easy to mess up. My hair had some very old washed out color on it, mixed with natural dark blonde hair and it still took that much. On red hair color, you would absolutely need the larger option.

Does the differ from regular bleach lightener if so , what ?

Asked by: Lindsay08
This lightner is designed for freehand painting. There’s no need for foils. It’s a clay based lightner that creates a little shell around the hair that hardens but keeps the inside bleach moist. It’s used for a more natural look.

I used this today on a level and did the balayage and left it on for 35-40 minutes and it only lifted about 2 shades is this normal

Asked by: Barbara kj
It’s made to process for 50 minutes and should lift about 4,5 levels depending on the hair
