I have black hair and want to go to a bright red. Would this help w taking out the black ?

Asked by: Jazminnnj
If your hair has any color on it to take off that color or toner , there is a baking soda formula that you can use instead of bleach. It consists of baking soda , purple shampoo, dish detergent and 10 volume developer. I definitely wouldn’t use bleach ,that will only quickly damage your hair . This concoction will be safe and within a half hour will take off the color down to the color you originated from.

If I have dark brown hair that I dyed a boxed soft black back in September 2019 and would like to bleach my hair, will this bleach work or should I try to strip the black dye out of my hair first? I’m hoping to colour it magenta after the bleach! Thanks!

Asked by: gothicchic
The bleach would work but you would have to tone ur hair light ash blonde and then pick ur blonde because no matter what if u strip it or bleach it you would have orange brassy hair

What kind of developer do I need to bleach my hair? It's light brown

Asked by: Rosie C 23
Depends on how light you're wanting to go, it is best to use 20 volume because it won't develop as fast as 30 or 40. Just leave it on for longer and do separate applications until the desired color is reached (but do not let the bleach dry our on your hair, once it is dried, it has stopped working and will only damage your hair and cease lifting it). Any developer above 20 is generally not recommended for scalp application though

Is this good for going from dark brown to blonde?

Asked by: Angel1993
Yes, it is. I have dark brown hair that appears black unless it's hit by the sun and I mixed this powder with the Ion Sensitive Scalp Cream Developer (30 or 40). You'll have to bleach your hair a couple times, maybe 3, before you achieve any sort of blonde color. I had to bleach my hair 4 times, but maybe that's just me having stubborn dark hair. Also! Remember to use toner after you bleach your hair. Your hair may turn orange, and the toner will turn the orange into blonde. If it appears yellow, you need to bleach it once more. Dont bleach your hair the same time every time you bleach. Sometimes you'll need less time.

The powder do you need to add something with it in order to do it what does it take for me to apply the powder

Asked by: Familyfirst10
You are going to need a 20 or 30 developer, 40 will fry your hair. Please don't use 40, go youtube it, watch Brad Mondo, he will lead you in the right direction. You will need a toner also unless you just want banana yellow hair. Good luck!

i have very dark brown almost black hair, to my shoulder blades.. will this product work? and with what toner

Asked by: amateurgoth
i have naturally strawberry blonde hair but i have used this to lighten my hair from blue to bleach blonde and it’s worked pretty well. I’d probably use a 30 vol toner with it so it does what it’s supposed to but also isn’t super damaging. i think most toners should work but it all depends on how light your hair turns out and what color you want. also depending on how thick or textured your hair is you might need two packets of bleach just incase one isn’t enough. best wishes!

so I accidentally got a 10 developer rather than a 20 or 30, will it still work correctly and lighten my hair?

Asked by: rhiannon101
It will work but will not lighten as well. If your hair is already blonde, a 10vol should be fine. 20vol is for medium brown tones and 30-40 is for very dark hair. You may have to lighten twice before toning.

I want to go blonde and I have long reddish dark brown hair. I do not want to end up golden blonde. I want red/golden remove from my hair completely. What I need to do? What toner? How many pack? Thank you in advance!

Asked by: Jaws1021
you will probably need around 2 packs per bleach session. Since your hair is dark brown, you might have to do 2-3 bleaching sessions to get it to blonde. Then use a purple toner (wella t-18,etc) bc your hair will have orange/brassy undertones!

Will this product make my gray hair whiter

Asked by: DOROTHY Miller
If your hair silver/gray hair has yellowish/brown overtones, it's most likely the result of years of discoloration, sun exposure, product buildup, or a combination. In cases such as these, restoring your hair to its natural color and vibrancy is a process and will not be achieved with just one application. The Maison 276 System is a clean, non-toxic way to restore and maintain color balance without the use of moisture robbing chemical or dyes.

Do I need to purchase a toner with this as well ?

Asked by: Cshade96
It depends if you want to dull the effect of the bleaching process. When you bleach by itself on dark hair, it will turn a very brassy bright yellow or orange. But with a toner (preferably Wella Toner), it will dim down the brassiness and look more natural.

How many packets would i need for a whole head

Asked by: Margie40
I honestly wouldn’t use this. You’d probably need two or three but this stuff is like battery acid it’ll fry your hair. I went from black to platinum and got really good results with another product they sell. Its by the brand Ion it’s a purple bleach. You can get a huge bottle for 15 or 20 but it lasts a really long time. I’ve bleached my hair with it 5 times and I still have more than half of a bottle. I’ve used this bleach several times and every time it ends with a lot of breakage. If you want more info on the other bleach let me know, and I hope you’re hair turns out really nice :)

I think it really depends on your current hair color and how light you are trying to go. When I used this, I had black hair and was trying to achieve a medium blonde. I used about two packets.

Does this blue bleach make your hair a truly white color without breakage ? I'm a light brown but my hair is yellow. It needs more lightening for my satisfaction

Asked by: Dana Davies
Use 20 0r 30 volume creme developer for 20-30 minutes. Bleach does damage if you leave it on too long. Keep checking your hair while bleaching. To remove yellow or brassy tones, follow up with a toner like T18 Color Charm and your hair should turn platinum blonde. Use keratin shampoo and conditioner. Use leave in conditioner and masks with keratin. Your hair will be in good shape.

IS A DEVELOPER NEEDED FOR THIS PRODUCT? CAN I USE ON ALREADY COLORED HAIR?

Asked by: AUDREY22
Yes, this needs to be mixed with a developer. You can definitely use it on already colored hair but be careful not to fry your hair. If bleaching from a dark color you might need to do it in multiple sessions with time in between to repair any damage using conditioners, hair masks, etc. Do your research, have someone with prior experience to help you if possible.

I have short auburn hair, and only use 1/4 oz plus developer for my hilites. Even if you are doing all of your hair, and it is long, I would think one package would do it. To be absolutely sure the first time around, you might want to purchase 2.
