Which level developer should I use. I dye my hair black but I need to cover stubborn grays all along my hairline?

Asked by: Yvonne04
I also have grays to cover on my hairline and use level 30. If your hair is in relatively fair shape this level should be fine. I love this line:)

What else do I need to dye my hair?

Asked by: Lourdes Beltran
You will need Argan Oil hair color cream developer, a bowl to mix the developer with the color, a brush to apply it to your hair/roots, a timer, and clips to divide your hair into sections.  You should also have vaseline.

Which Color is best cover greys (for light brown to blonde hair)?

Asked by: Love one n only brand
This is a great product, does not dry out your hair, covers grey and color really lasts. I would try a dark blonde if you have light brown hair. To me, the color always comes a bit darker than the samples look

I am looking over 11N Cool Blonde, does it over white hair? and I tend to get red tint I don't want with hair colors have any suggestions?

Asked by: Gannon03
I actually mixed 11N (HLN) Cool Blonde with 11 Ash (HLA) and it came out great with no red tones-I did use red gold corrector plus to help with red tones, but probably didn't need it. I love how it colored evenly and conditioned my hair as well.

Hi I usually use a 4RV which I do not see online. What would be the closet without a drastic change 3RV or 5RV?

Asked by: s_snowsn
I would go with the lighter shade if you can’t wait for your shade to be restocked. You technically can’t color your hair lighter than what you’ve already colored it, so if you go darker now, it’ll be a long process lightening it back up. If you go lighter now, it’ll cover your roots and hopefully blend well with your other color.

My hair dyed is about a 3n. I used 3n dye and 20 vol developer. My roots came out lighter than the rest of my hair. Can I redye my roots with 10 vol and 3n or 3cp one and only hair dye?

Asked by: Queenmissy
No you still have to use 20% volume developer . maybe try 3nn which is supposed to cover grey better or use darker color .make sure measuring right ratio of color / developer.

One 'n only hair color = difference between volume 20 and 40 cream developer? Which is higher lift?

Asked by: JerrBear
10 if your staying the same level or going darker, 20 for a little lift, about 1 level, 30 for about 2 levels, 40 for allot of lift. But if your hair was previously colored you can not lighten it with hair color, you would have to bleach and tone. Or you could try a hi lift color to lighten it a little

Is this a popular color? Would it work on Brown toned with red? Also what developer would I use?

Asked by: Arkelii19
I use the One and Only developer in 20 with it. I Have long hair so I combine 3 oz developer with 1 oz 5N and 1/2 oz 3R and it give me a dark brown with a red tone. You can adjust the amount depending on how red you want it. I love this brand it leaves my hair soft and not damaged after I color.

I used the new white box of 4N twice and it turned out the same. It seems a little smaller, and the developer definitely a lot smaller. Good products, I love to use them to cover my roots.

What volume developer should this be used with?

Asked by: Jenny321
It depends on the difference of levels between your hair and the color you’re using. My hair is naturally a 7 and I use 8rg so I use a 20VOL developer. If I was an 8 I’d use a 10VOL, if I was a 6 I’d use 30vol, ect.

What does it mean when it says 1 part color: 2 parts developer? How do I measure?

Asked by: Lauram0484
So if you are using the whole tube, it’s 3 ounces, you would use 6 ounces developer. If only half tube (1.5 ounces) then use 3 ounces developer :) if you have a hair dye bottle it has the ounces right on it

Looking for a light/medium brown. I just used colorfix from this brand to get all the dark out. What color would you recommend?

Asked by: Cindy Var
I’ve only used the medium natural brown, rich medium natural brown, dark natural brown, medium cappuccino brown, and light ash brown. If you want a light brown to medium brown I’d stick with dark blonde or light brown. It’s great hair color.

my hair is a light blonde and i want to purchase the 10A lightest ash blonde do i need a toner or a developer?

Asked by: marissa21
Developer, not sure if u would need a 2 or 3. It depends on if you have dyed your hair before, and how the color came out. 3 is a bit harsher, but will make blonde come up well, but again it can be more damaging than 2. Hope that helps.

what is the best developer for make dark brown hair blonde, can it be done without bleaching

Asked by: Averyll1
Use 30 developer, anything less wont lighten your hair only add color to it. I don’t recommend 40 because its harsher on your scalp and i dont think its worth the risk. If you dont have color in your hair you can use a color cream to go lighter (any blonde of your choice) i advise not o lighten more than 3 levels at once. For example I’m probably a 2n and I’m going to lighten to 5n. If you have hair “dye” in your hair (if you’ve dyed it within the last year) then you’ll probably have to bleach your hair as the developer can only lighten you a couple shades.
