Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only the BEST for my hair! I have tried a few different hair colors and Loreal Beach Baby Lights is the BEST one that I have used! I love the way my hair feels after use. It has never damaged my hair. The color turns out perfect everytime, with lots of shine. I mix it as directed and sometimes it takes about five minutes longer than it states on the directions to process to get the color correct. But I am completely sold on this color and don't plan on changing from Loreal Beach Baby Lights.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BEWARE!! This stuff turned my hair blue!!! AND dried it out. The worst hair color product I have ever purchased. BLUE!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beach Baby Lights Platinum & Oreor 40 Developer Would give it a zero if I could. I have been doing my hair for decades, my natural color is light brown & gray. About a level 6-7. This stuff made my hair an unappealing shade of blue. Luckily I knew how to lift the mess out using copious amounts of lemon juice & conditioner. Once that was gone, the roots had lifted maybe 2 levels. I followed the instructions to the T.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Option b - bleaching hair This product was recommended to me by a Sallys employee after i asked if there was anything i could use for my dark hair without bleaching it. She was sooo right!! This works really good if you accidentally dye your hair too dark...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only thing that does NOT turn my roots red After 2 different professionals ( one was very expensive) dyed my roots and then lifted them creating an unwanted red, I was fed up with salons. Since then, it seems that all highlift powders, highlighting kits and balayage kits leave me with red tints even after toning. I have used this product twice and have zero red tones! I tone my hair with Wella T18 afterwards to get a cool blonde effect. I hope this product stick around for a long time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did absolutely nothing Bought this lightener today to avoid bleach, applied to my hair and absolutely nothing happened. Yes I followed directions and used the proper developer. I had some leftover so I applied it to my daughters hair and nothing with her hair either. Complete waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional color I love this product!! My hair is normally Auburn, reddish brown. I use the natural blonde. Love the very natural, even color it gives. Soft, high and low lights and never brassy or too ashy. Hair is never over dried and soft to touch. I have baby fine, thin hair. Touch up are easy as well. Great product!! Something I will continue to use. Hope they don't discontinue this one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice! I really liked this color. I have level 4-5 hair and this got me to a level 8-9 blonde. I used 40 volume and left it on for the exact amount of time the directions say. I already repurchased it for my root touch up next time so I’ll be sticking with it! My hair still feels healthy as well, I do not notice any damage. Make sure to have a toner along with it since you are going much lighter you’ll always need to tone a bit. I used a blue based toner and I’m very happy I got a pretty blonde color without bleach.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice color results The color result was good but the product was difficult to use. For some reason it was extremely thick and almost impossible to get out of the tube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great!! I don’t trust myself to do my own hair after a bad at home bleach job I did years ago. However, I liked that this product was not bleach and decided to give it a try since my roots weren’t getting pretty bad. It lifted my dark brown hair beautifully and blends with my bleached ends. I did use a violet toner afterwards and it came out really nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best! I have been highlighting and applying balayage to my hair for years. This is by far superior to anything else. My hair pulls red and orange, howeve with this I do not even have to tone my hair. The highlights are absolutely perfection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product!!! Used the ash blonde color with 40 developer. Came out great! My hair was previously dyed a lighter brown and I only used this product on the highlighted areas to keep with my balayage look.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful I used this product twice. The first time was very painful and left my skin tomato red and sensitive to the touch. The second time i used this, nearly a week later, it left me with a chemical burn on my temples and the back of my neck

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Hair Color I got the Champagne Blonde color with the 30 Volume developer, because i'm already a dark blonde naturally with a few grays. I left it on for 45 minutes. It came out so beautiful! IT's Perfect! It is a very light ash blonde with shimmering tones in it now. This is what I'm gonna continue to use from now on. I highly recommend!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very gentle high lift I have searched for months for a color to replace the mega blonde pearl that’s been discontinued- finally found this - used it today but was not hopeful- this product totally surprised me - very gently lifted and colored my roots and brought my whole head to a beautiful shade that is pretty close to the one that was discontinued. Pretty sure this one left my hair feeling much healthier

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SUCKS! Did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to my hair. Not even a shade lighter. What a waste of time and money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job! My natural hair color is a dull ash brown. I have never colored my own hair before. I literally know nothing about it, but decided to take a chance to save some time and money. I bought this product in 11.0 and used a 20 developer instead of the suggested 40 because I was too afraid to use something so strong. I used foil to add all over highlights and let it process for 30 minutes with intermittent heat from hair dryer. It turned out awesome! I will definitely purchase this again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From dark brown to blonde I have used this 3 times now. Once to go from dark brown to blonde (I had a dark brown dye on naturally dark brown hair) and twice for root growth. I used 30 volume developer only because 40 scares me. The results are unbelievable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Went to Sally's to get my normal Wella products and just happened to see this stuff. I figured I'd try it out and I love it. My hair is the blonde that I was going for. No toning besides a purple mask. I've always had trouble getting all of the orange tones out of my roots and I didn't have that problem this time! This stuff is amazing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t Work For Me This was recommended to me in my local store. I am consistently mixing colors and being creative with multi dimensional high lites with my red. Unfortunately, this product did nothing at all on my hair. I bought it on sale so I tried using different levels of developer up to 40 (even though that’s not recommended) and still nothing! I love L’Oreal normally but I would not recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome colour- be patience first few washes I picked up colour 11.2 as I was looking for a colour to help blend greys and fade some darker root regrowth. I was very skeptical when I rinsed the colour out after 60 minutes- I know I left it one a little longer- normally I have stubborn brassiness at my roots. But when I rinsed I had white ends and grey- blue hue to the rest of my head. After 4 shampoos I have come to love the result. The grey-blue is gone and the tips look like highlights. I’m not sure what to do when root growth appears, hoping to maintain this look going forward!

Does the beach baby blonde lift for 40 mins before toning and can I use foil with the mixed color?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes 40 minutes processing at the most.  It shouldn't be necessary to tone. Typically you tone after you have bleached the hair and the results are undesirable.  I "believe" you can use foil with the mixed colour but only on the virgin hair as hair colour does not highlight processed hair only bleach can cut through processed hair and or going darker. I am not listened only experienced.  Go to you tube and start learning!!!

which one is lighter?

Asked by: A3691236
I use Champagne Blonde 11.2, however Cool Blonde is their lightest shade 11.01. This will only lift 5 shades using 40 Volume. My result still has a gold tone at the roots. I have since added Beach Baby High Lift Lightner (or any high Lift Lightner powder) to the bowl with the 40 volume and the Beach Baby color. Final result a very nice Champaign Blonde with no gold or red.

Can I add hair bleach to this color if it doesn’t lighten enough?

Asked by: Beth Stan
The only developer I have used with this product from L'Oreal is 40 volume Oreor Creme and this is equal to bleach level. Then follow the ratio of color to developer as it is different than other ratios for coloring. I love this product and the color is awesome. I hope this helps

My hair pulls a VERY brassy tone. Do I need to be concerned using this?

Asked by: Monicamo
I’m a natural level 6, and my hair pulls brassy.   This product was good for touching up roots/new growth.  However, I still needed to use toning products to get my hair to reach the cooler tones I wanted to achieve.  I liked Keracolor Clenditioner in Platinum applied to dry hair for 40 minutes for toning purposes.
