Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not What You'd Expect From A High Lift Hello Fellow Beauties! So recently I have dyed my hair with this product, and let me tell you.... IT BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER! Now before I get into this review, here's some things to put out there: - I am not a licensed Hair Stylist, but I have been dying my own hair for over 10 years - I had previously lightened hair on the ends of my hair, it was dyed over with ION 6N Permanent Hair Color - I had over 8 inches of VIRGIN HAIR that is a 6N, this means my hair was between a Dark Blonde and a Light Brown - I have a thick mane but my hair texture is FINE, meaning it is easier to lift than asian/natural hair - Before I dyed my hair with this product, I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR 5 LEVELS OF LIFT, MY GOAL WAS APPROX. 2-3 levels of lift - I ALSO DID A STRAND TEST **HIGHLY RECOMMEND** BEFORE I SLAPPED THIS COLOR ON MY HEAD! Just Do The Strand Test! It will Save You So Much Money and Time! So, This product isn't like the rest. Other Products would not lift and deposit! They would just lift your hair like bleach and the color was not there. This however, CHANGES THE WHOLE GAME! I dyed from root to tip in one swoop! I know I should have done the roots first and then the tips, but I wanted to see how this performed. I did do a strand test ahead of time to see if it reacted with products in my hair, and to see the integrity of my hair after dying it. So, when I finally saturated my head with this product, It had to sit for 50 Minutes at room temperature (do not put the plastic or use foils with this product! Or you will destroy your hair!). I checked every so often, and got a little disappointed since at the 30 mins, it looked like ramen noodle colored hair. However, when the 50 mins came around, it had deposited color onto my hair and made the brass disappear! Holy Smokes! After washing with shampoo and conditioner, put my styling products in, my hair went from 6 to 8! It was the perfect Beige blonde! Remember how I said my ends had color? Well, SURPRISE SURPRISE! IT WAS ALL ONE COLOR! You can barely see the previously lightened hair! This surprised me, because I thought it was going to look like I bleached it with 20 vol and left it in for 20 mins expecting it to be banana yellow. lol I highly recommend this product to persons with FINE VIRGIN HAIR that is at a 6-7 level! If You are not at that particular level, YOU NEED BLEACH! That goes for - Black, Dark Brown, Med. Brown, Reds, AND Previously dyed hair! YOU NEED BLEACH IF YOU FALL UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES! Other than that, this will do what it says it does! Will be using for the next few years!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brassy lify Even on my natural level 7 hair, the lift was still quite orange and only maybe max 4 levels. What ever blue tones are in this hi lift were not very strong. Would recommend a toner after.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from #YoureWelcome Basically if you put this on your dark roots. Yes it will lift but if you're trying to get your level 4 or 5 dark hair to go to like 10 then you need bleach to

Does the beach baby blonde lift for 40 mins before toning and can I use foil with the mixed color?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes 40 minutes processing at the most.  It shouldn't be necessary to tone. Typically you tone after you have bleached the hair and the results are undesirable.  I "believe" you can use foil with the mixed colour but only on the virgin hair as hair colour does not highlight processed hair only bleach can cut through processed hair and or going darker. I am not listened only experienced.  Go to you tube and start learning!!!

which one is lighter?

Asked by: A3691236
I use Champagne Blonde 11.2, however Cool Blonde is their lightest shade 11.01. This will only lift 5 shades using 40 Volume. My result still has a gold tone at the roots. I have since added Beach Baby High Lift Lightner (or any high Lift Lightner powder) to the bowl with the 40 volume and the Beach Baby color. Final result a very nice Champaign Blonde with no gold or red.

Can I add hair bleach to this color if it doesn’t lighten enough?

Asked by: Beth Stan
The only developer I have used with this product from L'Oreal is 40 volume Oreor Creme and this is equal to bleach level. Then follow the ratio of color to developer as it is different than other ratios for coloring. I love this product and the color is awesome. I hope this helps

My hair is dark and I asked my hairdresser what could I get to color at home. She recommended a high lift color. I want the hair to be on the beach blonde side. Can you help please.

Asked by: Anonymous
I am very happy with the results of this color. My hair is mixed gray and brown. I don’t think I can upload a photo here but my hair is a nice beige blonde

My hair pulls a VERY brassy tone. Do I need to be concerned using this?

Asked by: Monicamo
I’m a natural level 6, and my hair pulls brassy.   This product was good for touching up roots/new growth.  However, I still needed to use toning products to get my hair to reach the cooler tones I wanted to achieve.  I liked Keracolor Clenditioner in Platinum applied to dry hair for 40 minutes for toning purposes.
