Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge Savings in Coloring My Own Hair! I stopped in at Sally Beauty supply to show them the color of may hair. It used to cost me $150-$200 each time I got it colored. I watched every video I could find on YouTube to color my own hair at home. This color was perfect for me. I also use a toner when my hair get brassy, but it's amazing that I can color my own hair for around $10! I wish I could have someone else do it, but my finances do not allow for that anymore. Anyway, I love this color and actually enjoy coloring my own hair now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light brown 511 Wella Color Charm This is a nice basic color that you can add a little deeper color to or drabber color to cut red and golden tones or even just as is. It is one of my favorite start colors and then adjust it as you go along. The gel color really covers course resistant grays very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the color and easy application I love this color. I am not a hairdresser and I find this color to be easy to apply. It goes on easily. I have a lot of gray in my roots so I add a small amount of 7n to my 8RG color and it comes out perfectly every time. I use 20 vol developer. It's a nice warm coppery apricot color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go 2-3 shades lighter I got my hair Demi permanent dyed in a salon about a month ago. I went from blonde to brunette and it faded to this ugly orange color. I read online that you should get 2-3 shades lighter. I wanted a light/ medium brown and I mixed 8a and 8n and got this very pretty ashy brown. Used 1:2 ratio and got the generic developer. I love it. Only left on for about 15 minutes because I was scared it might turn too dark. So it may fade quickly and next time I’ll leave it in longer

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad batch? Hopefully the two tubes I used were just from a bad batch, but they did not cover my grey AT ALL. So disappointed. I’ve used this brand before with no trouble, so I’m not sure what happened.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Honest review I wanted to tone my 613 bundles to a nice Ash blonde, I mixed the toner with 10 vol developer. the toner had a very harsh smell and faded after a few washes. I ended up buying shimmer lights purple shampoo and love the results

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best natural red coloring ever! I've been using Titian Red Blonde coloring for many, many years. It produces the most beautifully natural looking color with a 20 lift factor on my salt and pepper hair. No one ever guesses that it is not my own color, and the best part is that I can easily apply it myself, rather than deal with the time and expense of going to a beauty parlor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Intense colors turn hair red! Extremely unhappy- tried to do hair using the Intense Medium Blonde - nightmare. I added a few drop of the violet additive to combat brassiness- there should have been ZERO problems. Instead, bright red! Wella products are generally great but this is a complete disaster, get this product off the shelves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product Eventhough i used red out drops and gray coverage drops, still my hair came out red and it didn't cover all my gray hair. I feel awful because I purchased so many of this product and wasted my money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm to color over stubborn blue This worked like a charm! I previously had Manic Panic Voodoo Blue in my hair, after over a month of fading, it was STILL attached to my roots and wouldn't come out (I tried dish soap, baby soap, vinegar, lemon, baking soda, Coconut oil masks, EVERYTHING BUT BLEACH AND IT WOULDN'T BUDGE, Great color if you want permanent blue color lol). I researched for a while trying to figure out the best way to get rid of it but no one had a good review of the color I wanted so this is for you if you're wanting a natural orange over blue hair! I had enough of the white ends/blue roots and I used Terra cotta red 6R over it, mixed with 20vol developer and 2 drops of protein filler (color I used was Red Red) and it covered the blue almost fully. My roots were a natural dark brown/almost black, so it turned a beautiful natural-looking orange, while the mid-hair shaft turned a lovely hue of reddish brown, and the ends turned a red color; the still stubborn blue turned more of a brown (color wheel/neutralized it) but it all blended out to be a cute color and will only get better as my roots grow out and I re-color it. Would definitely recommend!

Hair type: dark brown almost black virgin hair  Goal: cool toned ash blonde/bronde Options: Medium ash blonde/medium beige blonde/hazel blonde/light ash blond/ smokey ash blonde Rules: No brassiness/no bleach How to use it? WellaColorCharm only

Asked by: AshleyGigi
You will have to add a developer to the color because her hair is so dark, if not you will not get the color you want.

I have brown black hair and at the roots its red toned and how growth is stubborn grays. Cant get even color all over. Roots and new growth come out lighter and rest of hair is dark. I would like to go lighter brown with either red tones or caramel tones.

Asked by: Lilitaliangrl
Without knowing your hair history, I’m going to assume the body/length of your hair has been previously colored. You are describing a “hot roots” situation. Color cannot lighten previously colored hair, so it’s lifting your virgin roots and deepening the rest. You have 2 options. Deepen your roots with a semi permanent color or lighten the rest of your hair with color remover (Ion works pretty well) or a homemade vitamin c mixture, which works GREAT. Look up YouTube videos for “ lighten  hair vitamin C”.

What volume developer should be used with dark golden brown?

Asked by: roots420
Always use 20 volume when covering gray no matter what level you area using , always process for 30 - 45 minutes depends on how resistant the gray hair is. If you are not covering gray and you want to darken the hair only then you can use ten volume.

I mix 1 oz titian red, 1/2 caramel and 1/2 sand blonde to make a light brown with red and blonde high lights, if I use caramel alone it comes out dark brown, it's great the first week then goes to light brown, I use the right shampoos and color defense?

Asked by: PThessen
There is no neural base color in your mixture. You are using all accent colors. Replace sand brown with same level neutal base ie is sand blonde is a level 6 you need to put 611 in instead to hold the color.
