Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I have dark hair. Like almost black and I wanted it a bit light brown and I’ve seen girls on YouTube try this out and I wanted to because it didn’t use bleach. It worked out good for them and they got a lighter brown caramelish color. When I did it, it turned my hair orange on different parts of my hair. Not sure what I did wrong I followed the instructions. It looked kind of cool but it’s not what I wanted. I had to go to the salon and get my hair re dyed and they had to fix it which ended up making me pay more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color without damage I’ve used this hair color several times and it works amazing without damaging your hair. I have 4C hair and the color deposit is great. If you have 4C hair Don’t expect to go super light with this hair color because only the ginger blonde color comes with bleach. The other colors come with color and developer (no bleach). Overall great color that won’t damage your coils.

I have blended reds in my hair, have a lot of curly hair, am naturally dark brown/black, and my roots are coming in with some grey. Will this color give my reds an uplift, even color and not give me orange grey hair?

Asked by: gingerrogers
I have only used the blonde colors, never reds or darker. That said I have used it several times and am always very pleased with the results.

Does the black stain? Everything I have been using lately has been leaving black scalp stains, Igora which I loved. It also will not rinse clear until it fades.

Asked by: Ardnaell
I've been using these products for a long time. I haven't had any issues with staining with this product. I love this product. I think the first day you may get some on your skin but after a nights rest everything is gone. Every other product ive tried before this one stainsband runs and I hate it.

do I need to use a developer to mix with this Cream of Nature Exotic Shine hair color?

Asked by: Jen_chlq
All box colors have what is needed to use to mix the color, so don't add anything else to what's in the box. Read the directions which will tell you to mix the color into the bottle then color hair.

i have very thin hair will this damage my hair

Asked by: joyce128
If your hair is in poor condition, any color can possibly damage it. When in doubt, use a semi first to see if you want a color. And, if you really want to use this, deep treat; trim your hair first and dye 1-2weeks later.

Hi I want to use the black on my 360 lace frontal, do you recommend anything else.. it's virgin Peruvian

Asked by: Nikki 41
I would personally, use a semi-permanent color instead. Even a spray that washes out. Peruvian is very expensive so you don’t want to damage it with permanent colors.

Do you need to bleach your hair before using this product on dark hair? I wasn't able to discern from the reviews if this was required or not.

Asked by: Nivixi74
Since color can’t lift color, yes you have to get a pack of bleach and developer (Use the blue packet for darker hair if you’ve got black hair up to 7 levels, purple for 3 levels. The developer depends on your hair strength- 30-40v is recommended, but if damaged use 20. ) Then, you can use this after deep treating your hair.:-) Hope this helps.

Does this product contain PPD?

Asked by: KeeshaGi
Yes, it does, unfortunately.
Answered by: LPS36363

Also came to ask if the black has PPD in it, please answer.

Asked by: AlfaAlfa
Yes, absolutely. Don’t use if you’re allergic to PPD. You can,opt for blonder shades- it’s normally the darker shades in brown, black or reds(brown additive) that contain this. Good Luck, and maybe opt for an organic hair color instead.

I colored my hair about 1 week ago. i do not like the color and wanted to add more color. i am natural and do not color my hair a lot. would this be ok to do or will it damage my hair

Asked by: malerie1982
I would wait six weeks, this is the the professional time period with repeating chemical application to hair. I didn't like it either. I'm not natural, it should have work better than it did on my hair also. It was a waist of applying this color. Bad results and unnecessary chemicals applied to my hair.

Can i relax my hair after using creme of nature exotic shine color

Asked by: Shaninea
Not immediately after. Wait ten days after you get a relaxer before your first wash. Wash your hair twice on your usual schedule after you get your relaxer. Example: If you wash once a week, go through that cycle twice. Before your third wash you can then color. Make sure to put color on dry dirty hair. I hope this helps!

I have Salt and pepper nature hair, I would like to color it black or brown will it work for me.

Asked by: Candy555
Yes it will! I use the black and it works well for me. Almost too well -- it's really black! I only start loving it after the third wash. I wash my hair once a week. I wish they made a varitey of brown tones though. I'm getting older (mid 50's) and will look ridiculious soon with jet black hair...LOL! Dark and Lovely makes a nice brown tone that I'm thinking about trying.

In the ginger blonde hair color container, there is a small tube of oil. Is there a way to remove the top without a saw? It would really be nice if it had a twist-off cap. If someone knows an easy way to remove it, please share. Thanks!

will it wash out after a while?

As with any hair colour, it will fade a bit with each washing. Also to consider, the type of shampoo affects the length of vibrant hair colour, colour safe/sulfate free extends the life of dyed hair.

I used intense red for the first time and my hair is brittle and not red it looks orange what can I do

Asked by: marisol
Hello, and thank you for your question. To correct what has already been done, you may deposit a semi-permanent color to your hair to add darker color such as darker red or any tones which are darker than your current hair color. Keep in mind that any color you put in your hair will make it darker. As for dryness, you may deep condition the hair once a week to add moisture and shine back to the hair. We would recommend the Creme of Nature Argan Intensive Conditioning Treatment (105202) for this.

What will happen if I dye already dyed but faded red hair?

I have dyed intense red hair from garnier, but it's pretty faded right now. What will happen if I put this intense red into my faded dyed red hair? My hair is naturally caucasian dark brown hair
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello and thank you for your question! If you use the 7.6 Intense Red Crème of Nature on your hair that has been previously colored, you will more than likely damaged your hair due to double process. It will deposit the color, but deeper tone than the intensive red. If you want to add some depth to the color, you may try using the color as a soap cap to tone. This will add color to your faded dyed red hair. If you opt for this, mix the color as normal then add a bit shampoo to mix together. Proceed to apply it on hair, process 5 to 15 minutes depends on the amount of color you desire then wash hair. You may want to experiment with just a small section to see the result. Please note: soap cap is only to be used on hair that has been previously colored not for touch-up new growth.

Dying dark hair

I am Caucasian but I have dark brown hair, almost what you would consider black and I have a hard time dying it lighter without damaging it. Is this something that would be beneficial without getting that gummy feeling to my hair after dying it or having it break off when straitening it with a flat iron?
