My hair always fading after 2 weeks. i used boxes of red I mixed it with other red that was brownish with a 30 developer. my hair faded bad. i want to use magenta but would it work since my hair like light orange or should I dye it Black then do it

I’m a long time user o this product yes it will fade out from washing so I would use manic panic vampire red and add a table spoon to my shampoo and conditioner.. u need sulfate free product ( sulfate will strip ur red color) and I would use the vampire red in between my hicolor applications. I’d leave it on like 8+ hours . I hope I helped u out just from my personal experience. And spray ur hair with heat protectant before u go outside and use heated instruments

I have tried this dye and love it, but i have a problem with it. It keeps washing out? And I had done it 2 months ago, why is it washing out? Is it it  permanent??

Red hair dye is meant to be retouched every 3-4weeks so ofcourse in 2 months itll be faded out any red hair dye is like that. Red hair dye is never technically permanent because after a couple of washes itll always fade

My hair is dark brown / black . How would this take to my hair ??

Asked by: Elsabeech
Yes hun it should if you have virgin (unprocessed) hair. I’ve used it incubated in foils for maximum lift and deposit of color. Also since red fades the fastest try rinsing with a vinegar solution to close cuticle and lock in color. Then don’t wash for at least 48-72 hrs

I was told to get something in the 5 to 4 rang for my hair. Does this qualify?
