Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont buy I bought this dye last week. After my first wash, my grey hair is returning already and color is washing out. I have used Age many times before. Never have had this issue before. Not to mention that it began to burn after the first 10 minutes of processing. My hair is now so damaged and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm pleased Yesterday before work I purchased the lightest red color to be used as highlights. After work I used the color with a 30 volume developer. I have been coloring my hair for over 20+ years with various shades of red. The price I paid was 10 cents more than the online price. I am satisfied with the outcome. I have very stubborn gray so I want to see how well this last. I have to color much more often than I like .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I was a dark chocolate brown after my wedding. I needed something different; I was a little hesitant to go spending money on something that lightens/dyes your hair. I picked up the intense medium red for the darkest hair color with a 30 developer. My hair was Redder then ever! It also didn’t feel like straw! My red is still there but has faded with my blonde roots showing through after 2 months! I will be going back today to by another box because I love this product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY! Waste of money! I followed the instructions to the t and instead of beautiful blue-purple hair, I was left with reddish brown hair. All it did was lighten my hair, that's it. Total waste of time and money. Do not bother buying this product!

We were told that the hair color would come like a brown with in it. Unfortunately it came intense purple what can we do to make it more like a brown with purple in? If I mix the purple with some brown dye will that work?

Asked by: Joi101368
I am not a hair stylist, but understand the name and description of the product to lift pigment (whether natural or dyed) to allow for a more vibrant color. I have used the reds and violets in this line, and love them. I have dark brown hair and when using this product, applied a 1:2 ratio to allow more lift. But I believe since the product is designed for "intense lift", it would pull pigment regardless. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience with this product line, because in my humble laymen opinion, I think it's great. I think mixing colors is something you should consult a professional on, so you're not disappointed again. Best of luck moving forward!

my hair is hard to hold curls and almost sholder lunth what perm and rods do i need for a spirle or piggie back look

Asked by: raven1926
Wrong page to be asking this on since this is discussing hair color, but if your hair is hard to perm, like mine, then I'd say skip the perm and just use a spiral curling hot iron every day. If the same thing happens to that does to me and my stick straight hair, I get it permed, it looks nice until the first wash then no mater what products I put on it to help keep the curls, it just automatically goes to frizzies. If you HAVE to perm it, you might want to try the long foam rods so you can wrap from top to bottom, all curl will be the same size as more hair is exposed. I'm talking the long foam rods that you can bend into a circle. Get a perm for resistant hair. Good Luck!

If my hair is burgundy what color will my hair be after i color it intensely vivid vibrant violet tones

Asked by: MandiLee
color can't pick up color, but you can try with a strand test, if that does not work you may have to bleach. Now I know everyone freaks out with bleach, but if you are trying to go purple, you really only need to lighten the hair a little bit, I do a lot of red and garnet and red violet hair colors from ION, and I only lighten my hair to a light/med orange. I used the ION cream bleach and a lvl 10 developer. I was very pleased with the results. All I've been using the past 8-10 months is semi permanents from ION.

I love this color but cannot use it because I have non virgin hair. Is there another permanent product of a similar color for those with previously colored hair?

Asked by: colorhelp5
I used the med. intense red for dark hair on top of hair that was previously dyed black. My roots definitely came out more the color i wanted, but the dyed part did take color without damage. used 1:1 mix instead of 1:2(recommended) because I was experimenting. I will be doing it again with 1:2 mix to see what happens. I will let you know. Wish me luck!

Can I substitue the developer for anything else so my hair with lift?

Asked by: Jackie27lol
You need to mix it with developer in order to get the hair to lift and deposit the color. 10 is for depositing, 20-30 for lift, 40 for the max amount of lift
