Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best color for my hair Excellent grey coverage and very natural looking. I've been using this for years and love the quality. I do dislike coloring my own hair, and tried a chain salon for 2 color applications about 6 weeks apart and the dye they used was garbage. It didn't cover the grey completely and it was so blotchy. The first time, I thought the stylist just wasn't thorough. The second time with a different stylist, I realized it was their poor quality dye. I'm back to applying it myself and very happy with how it turns out every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Excellent coverage. Love the liquid versus creme. It penetrates hair best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good color beautiful brown color although light brown is a bit dark at first it lightens a little with washing but I'd recommend a dark blonde if you want light brown hair and buy this because light brown is definitely not light brown. but still very pretty and natural, i dyed my eyebrows too it didnt burn. use vaseline around the brow and anywhere else you might get the hair color you don't want it to stain your skin. also i find myself using less of the product since its liquid instead of creme it goes a littlr farther and you dont have color sticking to the walls of the bottle. only 4 stars because the light brown was so dark.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Color I have colored my hair for 25+ years but have a sensitive scalp and wanted to try something new. Bought this product 7NN and the sensitive developer. The application was a little messier than I expected as the color clumped a bit in the bottle as another reviewer indicated. I may go bowl and brush next time. I have always used "neutral" or "ash" colors to prevent the red tones. I should have mixed in another color or the additive to reduce red as it turned out to be a much darker blonde with serious red tones. BUT I do see a big difference in the color quality and an even distribution with some good natural looking highlights. All gray is covered! I am going to give it another try with a lighter blonde and figure how how to reduce the red tone. Scalp handled the developer very well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color Great color! Love the brown intensity and shimmery lights in it. Had ordered the cream yet the liquid seems to be a better brown with more shine and less brass!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted Blonde And Got Auburn! I bought this a couple days ago and I was wanting to lighten up and even the color out, and cover the few gray hairs that I have. I bought the light Intense Blonde 8NN in liquid. I had used the Wella Tango in Caramel previously, but it had been more than 4 months since I had colored last. I left the color on my hair for about 40 minutes. This is the darkest my hair has been ever, in fact my hair color before I colored it was at least 3 to 4 shades lighter than it is now. Very unhappy with the this hair product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use hair color I found the liquid hair color to be much easier to use than the cream in the tube.

Do you mix this with something or does it go straight on?

Asked by: Tina Bop
Hi! In my bottle, I mix 1/2 the amount of color and 1/2 of the amount of developer together. Shake it up and you are ready to go!  Hope that helps.

I use garnier nutrisse 40 dark brown. My hair dresser recommended Ion products. I would like a cream to make it easier to apply. What product and color would you suggest?

Asked by: BJPM1234
Use the ION color 4NN with 20 volume peroxide. If hair has more than 50% grey, use with 10 volume peroxide. great coverage

I had trouble with the color coming out of the bottle in clumps like it didn’t mix good What am I doing wrong

Asked by: Lisa 810
2 oz of each in an applicator bottle( equal parts color and developer), then squeeze some of the air out and hold your finger over the tip and shake well. Should mix perfectly every time and when you release the tip it will not shoot out at you. Creme color does not mix well this way so if you are using creme I would suggest a bowl and brush.

Hi...what is the difference between intense black ( 1NN - Ion Color Brilliance) and jet black ( 1V-1.2 Ion Color Brilliance) ??? Trying to figure out which color is the blackest black. Thanks :)

Asked by: sewnxeyes
The 1NN is gonna be better for gray. If you want that deep blue black color go with the 1V..hope this helps

When I started squeezing out the tube the first part was colored cream then towards the end it started coming out marbled like the cream mix with the black on it is that normal?

Asked by: Anna 12345
This happens when the hair dye is exposed to air, which is why it happens only in the first bit squeezed out
