Rated 5 out of 5 by from A product that works! My hair is dark brown with grey. I like the rust orange tint that my hair turns. This product last a good month and a half for me. I've been using it for 2 years and will continue because it does as promised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Covers grays well! I've been using Dark Burgundy Brown (3RV) for years now to cover up my premature grays. But in the last year, I'd noticed more of a dusty pink sheen when I'd dye my hair and realized I was at the point in which I had to change my coloring routine due to more grays coming in. Fortunately, I know several stylists and got feedback into the world of neutral dyes. After much mulling over, I got the 3n- Medium Intense Brown, hoping it would be a good "base" color for the burgundy brown to show in all its glory. I did half an oz of neutral to 1.5oz of burgundy, and then mixed with 3oz of 20 developer, just to test the waters since I know how dark Ion's browns are. The result- a teeny bit darker than anticipated, but the burgundy is there, just not as bold as it usually is. What's cool is that it does give the same effect the burgundy does in the sunlight, but without the purple hue seen indoors. HOWEVER, it has done an excellent job covering the grays better. No more pink/dusty bits after a fresh dye job! Since I'm still experimenting with using neutral dye, I may go up one more shade lighter to see how it fares with the burgundy brown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used On Natural Hair To Prevent Dusty Look ;) It is truly a deep black color. Not a blue black or anything of that nature. I'm really happy with it. When you have natural hair the dark color makes your curls look rich and healthy.

I usually use permanent color brilliance cream light intense brown but noticed it doesn’t mix well can you recommend another product that is very similar color ?

Asked by: Nikki297
I have used permanent color brilliance liquid light intense brown for years and like it very much. I tried the cream version and had the same problem of it not blending well. I mix it 1:1 with 20 volume developer.

Which Developer do I need to use for the 1NN intense black?

Asked by: G_Lady87
It depends on how porous your hair is. If your hair has split ends or is damaged I would use 10 or 20. You only need higher if you are covering grays and if your hair is healthy but the color is dark enough to cover almost anything else. And if you need to cover grays but still are worried about damage, you can still use a lower volume and leave it in for an extra 10 minutes

It's basically the same color, but deeper. It seems more natural to me. I highly recommend it.

Do you mix this with something or does it go straight on?

Asked by: Tina Bop
Hi! In my bottle, I mix 1/2 the amount of color and 1/2 of the amount of developer together. Shake it up and you are ready to go!  Hope that helps.
