Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clairol Soy4plex liquidcolor. 7RN/43R Mixes easily with the crime developer. Very true to color. Doesn’t fade as fast as other red colors I’ve tried. I apply to touch up roots only. Pull it through to the ends for last ten minutes of developing time. I like that the consistency of the product makes it easy to control without running.

Color does not lift color. If you have colored your hair dark brown, putting a lighter brown or blonde over it WILL NOT WORK. Seek a professional

I typically use 4N for my hair. I have dark brown hair. It usually makes it almost black. Should I use a different color?

Asked by: belle7679
It could be his color or it could be the application. When applying color make sure you only get it on the new growth. Never dye hairTwice. If the new growth is too dark after dying it , then you’ve chosen the wrong color. Try 5n.

I currently color my hair using Clairol LiquiColor Permanent Hair Color Soy4Plex by Clairol Professional...4RN/47R light red neutral brown. I would like the color to be a little more red but don't want to go darker brown. What color shade should i try?

Asked by: pattitrish
there is a product in a small bottle that you can get red base. It's along the line of "gray buster" drops. Red pigment fades the quickest. adding the red drops you can stay with the same shade you are using

Sorry, but I am not at all familiar with L'Oreal Hair Color so I wouldn't be able to help with this. You might try going on both websites (Clairol and L'Oreal) and take a look at their respective color charts. Could either answer your question or at least provide add'l information.

Do I use shampoo after rinsing color out

Asked by: Anniebird
Yes absolutely. You rinse until the color runs clear then shampoo once or twice and condition. Then try not to wash your hair for a few days- 1 week because it helps your color stay in. If you're a blonde or going blonde and don't want yellow orange tones use a purple shampoo atleast once a week, otherwise make sure your shampoo is for color treated hair.

My hair is dark. But I want to get the color 9nn. What developer would you recommend

Asked by: Debra He
If your hair is darker than level 7 you need high lift blonde to get to level 9. Look for HL N or HLNN If they have it. It will say it's a level 12 but since your hair is dark it won't come out as a level 12. You'll probably want to use 30vol. 20 isn't quite strong enough for what you want to do and a 40 is dangerous and can ruin your hair quickly if you're not really experienced
