  • The correct choice of color and developer is essential for best results. The choice must be made bearing in mind the customer's natural hair color, the desired degree of lightening and the percentage of gray hair. The mixing ratio is 1:2 (1 part color for 2 parts developer). Use 10 Volume developer for deposit only or 1 level of lift; 20 Volume developer for 2 levels of lift; 30 Volume developer for 3 levels of lift; 40 Volume developer for 4 levels of lift.

Application: Using a non-metallic bowl, mix 3oz Mystic Divine(tm) Luminous Shine Permanent Liqui-Creme Hair Color with 6 oz of Mystic Divine Developer.

Processing Time: All instructions are based on average texture. If the hair is fine or coarse, adjustments should be made accordingly. Fine hair is much more receptive to hair coloring while coarse hair is not. 30 minutes for standard application; 45 minutes for maximum gray coverage.

  • 1:2 mixing ratio - 1 part color to 2 parts developer. Mix 3oz Mystic Divine(tm) Luminous Shine Permanent Liqui-Creme Hair Color with 6 oz of Mystic Divine Developer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5NC looks nothing like the swatch I used 5NC and my hair turned out super dark violet/black instead of a pretty copper brown. I’ve been coloring my hair for over 20 years and this might be the worst misrepresentation of a color I’ve ever encountered. I will never use this brand again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Natural Copper Med Blonde I like the color but it is much more coppery than blonde on me but my grandmother is a natural red head so my hair tends to pull red. My hair turned prematurely white and I colored it with Ash/neutral blonde shades until last a little over a year ago when I decided to go red. Sometimes I miss my blonde but I chose this one because the color swatch looked like my natural hair color which I would describe as medium golden strawberry blonde. I guess I need to put a medium neutral/natural blonde on next and see how that looks. My hair feels great, really conditioned and soft. I have natural curls and my hair tends to get dried out by hair color but not this one. I will try it again in another color. I'm excited to see how it lasts one the white hair. I read several reviews that said it doesn't fade.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from High lift natural ash does nothing I naturally have level 8 natural gold hair. I wanted to retouch my roots without bleach powder and used the HLNA with a 30volume developer and the product just doesn't mix! It stays separate no matter how much you try to mix it. It lifted my hair one level (30 should lift 2-3). If you're using a high lift I suggest age beautiful because it actually worked? This stuff is garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Color and Shine Mystic Divine is amazing. I have very gray hair that is hard to cover. I have tried many different color lines for my hair trying to cover my gray. I finally found the right hair color to cover my gray and last longer. Other colors just wash out. Mystic Divine lasts until it grows out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horriffic. Absolutely horriffic. I wanna start by saying that I and everyone in my family have been doing our own hair for at LEAST over 15 years (my mother was a hairdresser). I have naturally dark brown hair, but have been a *bright* blonde for the last decade or so. Against my own better judgement, I decided instead of simply bleaching my roots, then toning them, that I would try to use a hi-lift product, in the ashiest tone they had available (as my hair ALWAYS goes yellow/brass when bleached or lightened). Boy, what a mistake that was. I'm now going to have to spend the better part of my day off just trying to fix the utter disaster on my head. I even tried toning it afterward with the wella T18 that makes my ends look very pretty and white, and I genuinely don't even know how to fix this, I may just have to use an ashy brown and throw some lowlights in it just so it looks 'okay'. Huge bummer, I wonder - can one return a half used bottle of hairdye if it completely ruined your hair? ;_;

What level are they high lift colors? Like HLNA. What number in the blonde spectrum is that?

Asked by: Suzi7777
High-lift blondes would typically be a level 12. HLNA would be level 12 (lightest blonde) natural ash.

Sorry for silly questions... I am new here... what is developer? Does it always in use with hair color? Which one is right to use with 4NC Natural Copper Medium Brown? Thank you!

Asked by: Natalya1
Developer always need to be used with permanent hair color, it activates it and makes it so the color can penetrate your hair! For the 4NC, definitely go with a 20 volume developer.. anything higher (like the 30 or 40 volumes) would be too strong because they're used when the natural hair color needs to be lifted to get to a lighter shade. Also, just check the directions to see the mixing ratio of color to developer. For example, if it says "1:2" it means mix 3oz color + 6oz of your 20 volume developer. Hope this helps! (:

I used Mystic Divine 8N and found it to be too dark for me. Is it possible to use a lighter color over what I have just used ? What is the color number to go lighter?

Asked by: diana from Texas
Color will not remove color, unfortunately. You'll have to use some form of a lightening agent, such as color "remover", or bleach first. Once your hair level is lighter than the level of color you are looking to achieve, you can then use this permanent hair color to color & tone it. If the color you currently have is only a level or two darker than your desired level, I would suggest first trying a good striping (deep cleansing) shampoo & a deep conditioner (left on with heat applied for 30 minutes or so). If you do that a couple of times & it is still too dark for you, I would recommend using a color remover, as it is generally less damaging than bleach is. If you do go with bleach, stick to no more than a 20 volume creme developer & check the level of lightening frequently. Best of luck to you!

Why can't you just say 2oz of dye and 2oz of developer...... My hair question was not answered and it came out super dark.  Had to wash my hair like 4 times to get the stains off scalp and neck area.  Also left my hair extremely dry and tangled.

Asked by: Sylver24
Also the posted question states the ratio incorrectly. It's 1 part color to 2 parts developer which is most likely the reason for the bad results.
