Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great variations of colors I love that L'oreal has Ultimate Black on the "black" category because I always have trouble looking for a real super black color. And the shade is beautiful as well. Super black, like I love it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not buy! I purchased the dark blond (from the Caramel colors) to cover gray and it turned my roots VIOLET! Terrible!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened??? It has become absolutely horrible! The color that used to be creamy and easy to apply is now a water gel like liquid that is dripping off. I’m furious! Why doesn’t it say on the box that you changed it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5cg - loved every color from this line The only downside is it is liquidy and drippy BUT is a boon with long hair!! My most recent was 5cg which I was attracted to as I wanted a 5 medium brown but didn’t know whether to get cool or golden and this had both and I liked the box color shown. Then I get home and read reviews on this color and the general consensus is it comes out black. I don’t mind black hair so I plowed ahead. I like a soft black -> dark brown (most recent was a level 5 that was dark not medium brown in a dif line). So I knew would turn level 4 or darker. I’m happy to say that I got the EXACT color on the box! Going from medium brown. Lasts well. No complaints. If your hair is short, pour half of each in a coloring bowl and apply with a brush and save unmixed halves for roots!

For years I used the L'Oreal Preference 9.3 with 30 Vol. Cream Peroxide and then it was discontinued. What do you suggest that would be the closed to that shade. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!

Asked by: dicewoman
My color was also discontinued and I was very disappointed. I switched to #10 and was happily surprised that it was a MUCH BETTER color and is a very natural-looking shade. I also use it with 30 vol. and I’m VERY PLEASED with the results. It ended up being better than my previous color. Currently, I’m super upset that L’OREAL discontinued their Féria Color Moisturizing Treatment. I cannot find it anywhere and I’m beyond devastated!!!

what color should I choose to color my roots on light blond hair? My hair is light and I have high lights and low lights, wavy texture shoulder length. I spend a fortune at the salon and am happy for two minutes. I haven't found a colorist , I can afford.

Asked by: lynnepatrice
Since your highlights are different shades of blond, use any shade you prefer, from light to dark blond. It depends on your preference, but be sure to only color your roots to extend the life of your highlighted effect. That said, I recommend a lifght or medium shade of blond.

I always used Champagne blonde to which you no longer have.  What substitute do I use?

Asked by: bgpil4810
I use Golden Blonde 8.3. It gives a lovely warm blonde and is very consistent. I love it!

I have dark brown hair, wanting a burgundy auburn red what's the best hair color for that.

Asked by: Cmccleave95
you would want to look for a color that has a purple base. Fiera has some beautiful colors with that base and adds color boosters. you could use any that appears to have the proper base, and look on the back of the box it will show you what to expect.

Hi, you will have to go to a color stylist at a salon so that the expert in color can tell you what alternate colors you can use to get the same color effect.
