Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loreal- Creme permanent triple 100 grey coverage Product doesn`t work on my grey hair.. Its very frustrating, when its the third time, i have been using this product. I color my hair and within a week or so, all greys are back, in original form.. Your product is useless and doesn`t work on my grey hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New go to So I always have my hair done at a salon. This time wasn’t happy with new highlights. Too orange and brassy. Needed to cover the highlights. I have never used boxed dye, ever. Was very nervous. Purchased 5AB MOCHA ASH BROWN. I love the results. I only covered the highlighted portions (strands on top) and also put on ends where highlights were lightest. My underneath natural color is medium/dark brown. It came out darker than the color on box, but that’s what I wanted. Covered the highlights and left rich brown with a more natural highlighted color. Hope it doesn’t wash out or fade fast. Also, I will eventually need to cover the gray at roots and hoping I can use this same color. Hair doesn’t feel dry either. Looks healthier than before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extra Light Natural Blonde Shade 02 So if you look in the questions section, you will see where it says this product is NOT RECOMMENDED for previously lightened (bleached) hair but the box does say "wait at least 14 days before using on bleached hair", which I did. My hair was a light blonde (level 9/10) before but this made it almost plarinum. I am so pleased with the results and I am happy I didnt have to use lightener again. I did get a little bit on my roots, which I was trying to avoid so you can see that this is not going to make you this level of blonde when you have dark hair. Lastly, I also performed a test strand at the nape of my neck to preview the results which I always recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have used light ash blonde for several years I don’t understand some of these reviews. The box shows expected results. I hav e grey hair on crown and sides mouses brown on the back. Used to have salon blonde until greys grew in and hair got damaged . Started doing roots myself and haven’t needed salon since. You must check color chart on box. My darker hair does tend to go brassy but the top and sides which are grey will look like the blonde on box so I concentrate on grey coverage. Covers better than preference, however , preference did better on darker hair. Excellence has been great for my grey coverage. Always chose a lighter shade and watch the time. Unless you have a lot of grey use preference.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect gray coverage! Hello, I been using 5 medium brown for many years and always get a lot of compliment about my hair color and shine. I have dark hair, so I always get a red under tone. I decided to change the color and used 5.5 Neutral brown. Unfornutly, it turned my roots into light orange!!! I do not want to color my hair too dark and do not like the red under tone either. Should I change it to 4.5 N dark brown?? or do you recommend a different color? I give it a 4 just because my roots turned orange, I love this brand and would not change it for anything else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Satisfied I had my roots/hair colored by beautician in early February. Soon after I noticed in the back I had gray at the roots where the hair color had not covered the gray. By two months I could no longer stand all of the gray so I purchased #7. I first put it on the roots in the front then my husband put it on the roots in the back. I can't recall exact time but believe I left it on for 15-20 minutes then applied to the remaining hair for I believe another 15-20 minutes. The result was same color as salon but better coverage. It did lighten quickly (but not any quicker than it does when colored at salon) so next time I will go darker and if I get it dark enough I will then add some highlights. I will read all material first to see if I can do a test the day prior to make sure the color is what I want.

Hi, do you have a color chart that shows the brown shades from light to dark? The little squares that are shown w/the product image aren't very big and hard to discern what the color really looks like. TY

Asked by: bolla67
Hi There, Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately we do not have a color chart to send. If you select one of the small squares the color will enlarge. Thanks for your interest in L'Oreal!

My stylist says I need to buy a 30 volume developer to mix with the dye I purchase. Is that always the case or do some dyes come with the developer? Stylist also suggests I mix beige and ash blond for my color (doing root touch up).

What are the numbers on the blonde boxes and color shades. Currently using Preference in gold box 9G. What would the Preferce cream in the pink box be.

Asked by: vivians
Thank you for reaching out to L'Oreal. We do not have the same shade, light golden blonde available in the Excellence Creme. We do have a light blonde minus the golden tone which would be shade #9, Light Natural Blonde.

I used this brand and it didn’t color my hair at all. However, I noticed on the box it says it is used to color grey hair. My hair is not grey at all. Is it only used to cover up greys? If so, can you recommend another dye for red hair to blonde hair?
